L'Opéra Khan Market

Coziest corner of Khan Market! It’s my go-to “When In Delhi” spot for a high tea moment or an aunthentic croissant craving. The bretzel and lemon tart were instant hits for us.

L’Opéra in Khan Market is such a lovely little escape. The desserts are always beautifully presented and taste just as good as they look. I had a chocolate pâtisserie and a cappuccino, and both were perfect. The vibe is calm and classy, and it’s a great spot to take a break from the busy market outside. Definitely one of my favorite dessert places in Delhi.

Let me begin with the positives. I love their bakery products. The place is always clean and the staff are very attentive. I always visit this outlet and I will continue to do so. I find the lattes a bit dilute. So either they use a low quality milk or they mix water. And the lattes are always super hot - so either the Barista’s are not trained well or this is what the clientele demands. The main reason for my low score. This is the only store in Khan Market that has a problem with my Applepay. The staff always assure me that Applepay works but I am a singular exception - so let me review accordingly. This morning even my card transaction was declined - and it worked everywhere else in Khan Market. So my reviews will always be a 1-star till they fix their POS terminal and make it work for all customers.

I ordered a Chocolate Alpine Nut Cake (Rs. 2000 appx) through Zomato from this branch. It is a family favourite, either the cake, or the pastry is joyfully ordered multiple times every Christmas. The Cake delivered on December 28th was very poor quality, the walnuts are stale and bitter, the filling is less, and the chocolate coating is thicker than usual, making it sickly sweet, unbalanced and inedible. Cheating a repeat customer with sub standard food is shortsighted, I will never be able to order the item with confidence again. I have asked Zomato to take up the issue, will update review accordingly.

Stepping into this store makes you feel as though you have entered Charlie's chocolate factory. What a bliss! They serve some of the most delectable desserts in Khan market. It is always a difficult decision to choose just one. All the desserts are made with premium quality products. This time around I tried the Royal Chocolate dessert. A chocolate mousse base wrapped in a thin layer of fine dar chocolate. It was an absolute delight. Do not miss this when in Khan Market!

The best bakery store in town. Excellent breads, pastries, viennoiseries, in short like in France but not only... because there are also very appetizing sandwiches and at this moment we had the pleasure to discover the chocolate eggs for the Easter holidays! Great! And the drinks are not in rest because you will be able to take a coffee on the spot or an excellent hot chocolate classic. Be careful not to come in groups because the store is small.

A high end pastries & cakes with bread & croissants and French pastries. There is also a possibility of good coffees and some juices. In khan market a popular destination in elite of Delhi. Good place to go and enjoy French delicacy.Those who know , knows what are French pastries & croissants 🥐 & cakes. L’opera is doing it well . Go and enjoy the place very well maintained.
