Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino

We stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort from 20th–31st October, and our experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The resort is stunning, beautifully maintained, and offers everything you could possibly want for a perfect holiday. We enjoyed every moment and made the most of everything the resort had to offer. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and we got along with everyone so well. Their kindness and warm attitudes made our stay feel even more special. A huge shout-out to the animation team, who made every evening so entertaining—even on the days when the weather wasn’t great. Their energy and effort truly stood out, and the animation manager deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and for leading such an amazing team. We also want to give a very special mention to JC and Pokémon. They made every single day unforgettable. No matter where we were around the resort, they always took the time to come over, talk to us, and make us smile. By the end of our stay, they genuinely felt like family to us. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The entertainment team made every day so much fun, especially Pokémon and JC were incredibly friendly, energetic, and full of positive vibes. They made every activity lively and engaging, and really went above and beyond to make everyone smile. Their enthusiasm made the entertainment one of the best parts of our trip. Thank you, Pokémon and JC, for making our vacation so memorable! The restaurant and staff were amazing and hotel was top notch! Highly recommended!

We have been here since Wednesday morning and we cannot say enough great things about this resort! Beautiful everywhere. Clean and the people are so friendly! The shows are amazing and we couldn’t be happier with choosing Lopesan. Pool side the drinks are great and the entertainment even better! Scooby daddy he did the best water workout by the pool yesterday! We love him!!

Our butler Isaury went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He arranged dinner reservations, surprised us with a special birthday, and always greeted us with a warm smile. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made us feel important and truly pampered. He’s an amazing person!||The entertainment team was also fantastic. We enjoyed the night show, the activities by the infinity pool, and the white party was an absolute blast.||We had breakfast and lunch at Unique Beach Restaurant every day. The reception staff greeted us with a smile, and the server had our mimosa waiting for us as soon as we sat down. The grills staff was always happy to take our orders. Thanks, Alexandro and his team, for taking care of us.||The dinner at El Asador was delicious. The service was exceptional, and the lobster was cooked to perfection. La Boheme was a bit disappointed because the server took the wrong orders, and the food wasn’t very tasty.

I really enjoyed my stay in Dominican Republic. Lopesan hotel was literally amazing. Everything was perfect, I do not understand some reviews which describe food as a terrible experience. We visited some of the ala carte restaurant and especially the Asian restaurant was perfect. All the staff were friendly and attentive. I also did some activities with the animation team at Lopesan and it was a nice funny experience. All the members (Fighter, kerry, fransisco, pokemon, and chocolate ) are doing a great job. To sum up the review: I can strongly recommend this hotel to everyone and I will be more than happy to return back here next time.

Amazing experience. From the pools to the restaurants and bars. This place has everything you could imagine. Water park, bowling, arcades, beach access. Resort is huge so expect some light walking to get around. Our concierge Oliver Dela Cruz was amazing. From the moment we entered to check in we were received with champagne and the concierge booked all our dinners for us with great explanation of each restaurant to help us select our choices. The staff was very attentive at every place. Pools were amazing. They have different pools around the resort with some being adult only for anyone looking for a more calm setting. Resort is almost perfect except for one small detail. The rooms do smell like humidity. Not bad after a bit but most likely do to the climate. Other than that you will definitely have a great time and possibly not even need to go anywhere else to have fun. The resort offers many activities for every age and you will definitely enjoy your stay. Definitely will be coming back!!

During our recent stay at the Adults Only section of Lopesan Costa Bávaro, several issues affected our experience. Upon arrival, the front desk staff failed to provide the two plastic cards required to access pool and beach towels, which we only learned about the following day at a towel station. Our room also had multiple problems, the most concerning being poor shower drainage — water would quickly pool and drain very slowly, creating both a hygiene and safety concern. In addition, several electrical outlets were nonfunctional, including the one in the bathroom, which made it difficult to use or charge personal appliances like a hairdryer or toothbrush. The dining experience at the Mareas restaurant was particularly disappointing. The tuna tartare appeared to be made from canned tuna mixed with avocado and had an unpleasant taste and smell. The salmon salad tasted stale, as if it had been prepared hours earlier. While the lobster dish was acceptable, the risotto was overly salty, and the “Pastel de Queso Campesino” dessert had an extremely hard cookie base. The overall food quality did not meet the expectations of a fine dining experience. Another inconvenience was the lack of a towel station at the Adults Only pool, forcing guests to walk all the way to the beach to obtain or exchange towels — an unnecessary hassle for a resort marketed as five-star. Lastly, when we expressed our concerns to customer service during checkout, the staff member showed no acknowledgment or willingness to address them, which left a poor final impression. The one redeeming aspect of our stay was the professionalism and friendliness of the resort staff, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. However, given the issues outlined above, our experience fell below expectations for a property of this caliber.

We had the most amazing holiday at this hotel and will definitely be coming back next year! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and taken care of. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help with a smile, which really made us feel at home. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — modern, clean, and very well maintained. The pools are stunning, with plenty of sunbeds and a great atmosphere throughout the day. Whether you want to unwind in peace or join in on some fun poolside activities, there’s something for everyone. The food was exceptional. Both the buffet and the à la carte restaurants offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, always fresh and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a treat, and the service in all the restaurants was excellent. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping team did an incredible job every day. The gym was also a big plus — large, modern, and equipped with everything from cardio machines to free weights, perfect for anyone who likes to stay active while on holiday. We also loved the hotel’s boulevard area — it’s such a nice place to stroll in the evening, with charming coffee shops, boutiques, and even a theater offering nightly shows. It adds so much to the overall atmosphere and gives you plenty to do without ever leaving the resort. A huge thank-you to the animation team! They were simply fantastic — full of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm. Every day they organized activities for all ages, from fun games and sports during the day to entertaining shows and performances in the evening. Their positivity and humor really brought everyone together and made the holiday even more enjoyable. All in all, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The combination of excellent service, great food, beautiful facilities, and a friendly atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to coming back next year! 🌴✨
