The hotel itself is very beautiful. It is very well take care of, the rooms are modern clean and spacious. Overall the staff are quite friendly, although it does appear that some are more friendly when there are tips.
The music in the pool area is very loud. Can’t really stay there all day and also the choice of music is Caribbean music all day long. They need to have top 100 music. For this reason we stayed at the beach 99% of the time. On non-windy days there was not a problem with seaweed. When it was really windy, I would rate the seaweed being bad, a 7 out of 10, being the worst. They do try hard to keep it clean.
They have a dedicated teen room that is only open for specific days not sure why it closes at 9 PM which is odd because many teenagers are expected to be able to stay out past 9pm and play things like pool ping-pong, etc. there is only one sports bar that has a pool table and that’s not enough for the entire hotel
The restaurants à la carte I would rate them 8 out of 10 for what you expect at an all-inclusive hotel. The buffet I would rate a 9 out of 10. It’s vast large with many options.
Receiving towels in your room, seem to be somewhat of a problem, either not enough towels or not in place during cleaning time sometimes it would they come back afterwards to place towels in your room. It’s expected you tip room cleaners when their shift ends for the week. We didn’t mind too.
I think next time we go, we will try another resort at the cap cana location of the island just to see the differences.
The waterpark is amazing… It’s new well built, lots of activities and water being thrown around… As a 40+ age father with three boys teenagers they all enjoyed it. We went there three times on our 10 day vacation. The good thing I thought about it was that it was placed far away from the beach, which meant that it wasn’t swarmed with kids all day long.
