Few places let you come as close to the set as this one. The perfect venue for your up-an-coming bands. Especially if they are on the more energetic side. Keeps your focus away from the dirt and grit in the corners. From a beer perspective Loppen is better than most. Dry & Bitter DIPA and IPA straight from the can. I went for the lower ABV as I want the buzz from the music rather than the beer. Could have gone for the Hancock pilsner, but no … you have to draw the line somewhere.

Loppen is a casual music venue located in the Christiana area of Copenhagen. Its a mid-sized space that hosts cool gigs. I went to a concert there while visiting Copenhagen, there was a cool and chill environment. Crowd was pretty civilized. The drinks were very affordable. The environment is a bit more low key and casual as is the entire Christiana area.

Great and mellow place. Saw a concert there, and the atmosphere was just great. Great prices, good acoustic sound and a service minded staff. Recommended any given day.

I love the vibe of this place and would definitely recommend people to visit Christiania when visiting Copenhagen. The colors, atmosphere and people are really amazing.

Went to a beautiful psychedelic flute electronic music show here and both my friend and I truly enjoyed it. The venue inside is small and intimate with a fantastic sound system.

A nice venue that has been around forever. Has lot of interesting new music, is good to book up and coming bands as well as more established acts. For example, I have attended shows with Interpol and Smashing Pumpkins at this venue. So Early movers. Due to the shape of the room, be in good time if you want to be able to see something on the stage, if it's a packed show. Bar is fine and has adequate assortment. Shows starts later than at other venues, due to a restaurant just below the venue. Don't expect music to start before 10pm

I've always liked Loppen. I have been here loads of times during the past 25-30 years. You'll always find great bookings and intimate concerts at this awesome little joint.

I wish my favorite bands always came to Loppen because this is the best venue in Copenhagen, hands down. It's like stepping into a giant house party; the stage is a slightly raised from the floor, so once the music is playing everyone becomes one. It's pretty darn beautiful, and rowdy when it needs to be. The room is dark and grungy the way I like it and the atmosphere is always friendly and intense (in a good way, not in a "I'll stare at you all night because I'm a super creepy dude"- kind of way).

Came here last night for a Bob Marley birthday celebration. Live music was great. The crowd was fun. The local beer is cheap, strong and tastey..so happy I came here.

This is my favorite place to see bands in Copenhagen. Tickets are usually cheap and they offer great music ranging from internationally know acts (I've seen Israel Nash here for example) to local underground stuff. The atmosphere is always great for both intimate music as well as extreme metal or hardcore. As audience you are really close to the stage which makes it feel like everybody is part of what is going on. Bring your earplugs though!
