We don't live too far from Blanchland and often pop into The Lord Crew Arms for a shandy in the beautiful beer garden, after a long dog walk. We were extremely keen to stay overnight as the hotel is beautiful, full of historical charm and such friendly and attentive staff. We booked a mid-week stay and dine at very short notice and we were not disappointed. Our room was an upstairs garden room, a short walk through the garden and very private. Great for taking the dog out. It was extremely spacious, beautiful furnishings, sumptuous bath, great sized walk in shower, comfortable large bed, spotlessly clean and very tranquil. The treats, dog bed and poop bags were very thoughtful, and well worth the added extra pooch fee. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious and would recommend the halibut or the duck breast with pears. Everything was made fresh, with thought and care, so hats off to the chef. The breakfast was equally as tasty, with a variety of hot/cold options and freshly squeezed juice. The staff clearly care about their guests in ensuring they have a very enjoyable, pleasurable and memorable stay, which it definitely was. Would love to return and stay again and would recommend in a heartbeat. Thank you 😊
