Lord Nelson Hotel

It's like living in a museum. Amazing atmosphere and experience, the hotel is simply beautiful and a gem for sea lovers. The collection is amazing. The room is decorated with taste, matching the whole experience. Almost like living on a big boat, but with more comfort. There's a little beautiful library at the 1st floor which people can enjoy, with views of wonderful Gamla Stan. Breakfast is not too various, but still, with quite everything one might need: eggs, cheese, ham, bread, butter, jam, yoghurt, milk, cereals, coffee, tea, orange juice + gluten free options. All in all, lovely experience.

Stayed for two nights during a two week Europe trip and honestly it was the best sleep I had. I don't know if it was the bed or the cozy room but it was fantastic. The front desk was always kind and helpful as well. Will definitely stay here again.

The Lord Nelson is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are so nice and big, beds are comfortable and pillows so snuggly :) They give you plenty of towels and facecloths among other toiletries for your stay. Parking is included which is so thoughtful knowing you are able to come and go and there is always parking spot available. We stayed two nights while hubby was undergoing some hospital procedures. The hotel is just a short walking distance from the hospital and the front desk staff as well as the housekeeping staff, butler were all so considerate and thoughtful, always asking if things were okay and if they could help in any way. The hotel is directly across from the Public Gardens, a beautiful place for a walk or stroll. At the Lord Nelson you are in the middle of the city where everything is just a walk away. We'd definitely would recommend the Lord Nelson for anyone to stay.

Not going to butter it up, it's small. The single bed rooms are barely large enough to turn around in, but... It's clean, the location is second to none, and the staff are friendly. This is Stockholm and this is one of the better options if looking to stay close to the old town.

This hotel is published as three stars hotel, but it should be rated as three small stars. Very small double rooms, claustrophobic single rooms. Honestly, you get much more paying just a little extra in other hotels in Stockholm centre. Nevertheless, people there are really friendly and attentive. If you just consider price this is your hotel. If you don’t, look for another place.

The rooms are nice and clean with a maritime look. They are also quiet small, but this is not a problem for us, because we don't spend much time at the room while on holyday.|The breakfast buffet is on the other hand very boring and levels under what we usually see at 3 star hotels. Some untinteresting bread, ham from a vacuum packet, cheese from a vacuumpacket, some cold hard boiled eggs and some youghurt and some fruit.|If the breakfast buffet are improved we would stay there again.

The service, first of all, was excellent. The staff was very helpful and are super dedicated to what they do. The location of the hotel itself is right smack in old-town Stockholm. There are dozens of bars, restaurants, and gift shops less than a block away. There is even a tattoo parlor right around the corner. For food I recommend the taco shop down the street as well as the Kebab House through the tunnel next to the front entrance of the hotel. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The hotel is also filled with memorabilia of Lord Nelson, like paintings and ships. My only complaint is that the rain shower doesn't quite fit into the bathroom and the giant mirror above the sink in our bathroom made it nearly impossible to use.

I recently stayed in a super small room at this hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. The two twin beds was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. If you're looking for a dungeon or confined space to sleep in, this hotel is a great choice to stay.

Friendly receptionists. I arrived too early to check in, so they stored my luggage for me and when I came back later in the evening they had given away my room to someone who was allergic to the carpet at their sister hotel, Lady Hamilton. They asked if I would mind going around the block and staying at that property instead. They told me it was a nicer hotel, had a better breakfast, larger rooms, and a free sauna to use, so I agreed to move hotels. I wasn't disappointed and I really loved the Lady Hamilton hotel! From what I saw the Lord Nelson seemed to be very similar. Packed full of cute and kitschy details with a nautical theme. It's a great location on a big shopping street and not far from the subway, parliament, and royal palace
