Lorena Suites & Apartments

I found a bed bug in my bed. But it's not the worst part of it. The worst part is when I aet in touch with B&B Lorena Suites manager. They claim that 1 lied (!) and sent them a fake (!) photos from another hotel. I asked them to sanitize the premises, but they flatly refused, saying that I had made it up. So, as far as I understood, it was easier for them to deny everything in order not to admit the presence of a bed bug in their room. It was shock for me, I can barely image so low quality of service and personal. When I posted my review on Booking.com, they replied accusing me of providing false information. They claimed that I had asked for permission to throw a party on their balcony (I didn't), that they refused, and that I’m now "taking revenge" because of it. This is an outright lie. I never asked to throw a party - and what makes it even more absurd is that there was no balcony in my room at all. I an genuinely shocked by how easily they resorted to making things up instead of addressing the actual issues. This level of dishonesty and defamation is unacceptable. These are not people you can trust. I strongly advise against dealing with them.

很差的房东！ 差评！不推荐！ Absolutely unacceptable host attitude – hostile, unprofessional, and repeatedly disrespectful to guests. The room itself looked nice, but the entire experience was overshadowed by the host’s behaviour — and not just toward us. After staying here, we went through many reviews on Booking, and the pattern is extremely worrying. Whenever guests leave fair or even mild criticism, the host responds with aggressive, attacking messages, sometimes even writing things like “never come again” or accusing guests of things that clearly do not match their actual experience. This is not normal hospitality behaviour. This is not professionalism. This is hostility toward customers. Our own experience was similar. Instead of taking feedback seriously, the host chose to publicly respond with disrespect, unnecessary accusations, and a defensive attitude that completely ignores the guest’s perspective. It feels like any honest comment is met with retaliation rather than reflection. A place with nice decoration is meaningless if the host treats guests with contempt. There are countless B&Bs run by people who genuinely care about hospitality. Unfortunately, this property repeatedly shows from its review history that it prefers to blame, attack, or invent stories about guests instead of improving service. I strongly advise travellers to read the property’s responses on Booking before deciding. The way a host speaks to their guests says everything.

The accommodation is nice, modern, clean and comfortable, we had no complaints about it. We only spent one night there, but I would love to go back for a longer stay. The location is close to the city center, with good transport (tram, bus). The ordered breakfast is forgettable (there is an excellent breakfast place 50 meters from the accommodation). The reception host was nice upon arrival, later strict, like in a monastery. If they change this, they can get excellent reviews.

After I left an honest 6/10 review on Booking.com, the host replied publicly with false claims, including that I broke furniture (which I did not) and stayed late (I only asked to collect luggage at 1:30 PM) and request to store lugged at 12:30am ( I asked to store at 10:30am but was rejected) . I was never contacted by them and was told that I damaged anything, but she was lying and their response was defensive, accusatory, and unprofessional. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. After see the response, my rating 6/10 is too generous.

Extremely disappointing stay. Hotel agreed to refund us when we left but then refused to do so once I left my access card in the lobby. Lost €700. Room was dirty, had hairs and insects in bedding and stains around the furniture.||Communication with hotel staff was argumentative at best.

Good location, near to tram stop which takes you directly to and from the airport, 25-30 minutes to walk to Duomo. For us perfect! Room was clean, and quiet, the bed was really comfortable. Only downside for us, was the lack of breakfast room. Breakfast was served on a trolley in our bedroom. As the bedroom had no table and only one chair, it was a little awkward. Check in and out was easy. Irina, the lady who seemed to do everything, was very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Lorena Suites. The staff were so friendly and helpful despite my embarrassing lack of Italian. ||Our room was large and beautifully decorated with plenty of places to store our items. It was clean with an excellent cold shower - just what you need after exploring all day in 40 degree heat! Air conditioning was also very welcome as was the well stocked mini bar - this felt reasonably priced in comparison with local shops and provided a few local Italian aperitivo as well. We had a balcony which offered an excellent view of the sunset over the tuscan countryside. When we arrived and realised we were on the 5th floor, I was very grateful to note there was a lift available to take us and our bags up. ||Lorena is roughly 20 minutes walk from the duomo but you aren’t too far from other points of interest. We spent €10 in a taxi to get there from Santa Maria Novella station and it was €18 to get back and the host was very helpful in arranging this taxi back for us. ||When we arrived, the taxi driver pointed out a restaurant on the corner (out of the gates and turn left) which he said offered the best bistecca in Florence. We were dubious but tried anyway and it was incredible - if you want authentic Italian cuisine and company would highly recommend skipping the walk back into the busier areas and going here instead. ||It is worth noting that some of the rooms face onto quite a busy main road. While this was not an issue at night, in the morning this was quite loud from early on - best to make sure the shutters are fully closed as we found this (plus a couple of bottle of chianti Classico) made for a peaceful lie in. |All in all we had a wonderful stay in Lorena Suites, all was fantastic and we cannot wait to find an excuse to come back and visit!

My daughter and I spend 4 days at Lorena Suites in September 2024|Quite adequate accommodation in a drab looking building. One reason we booked this was because of the balcony I had a romantic notion to have breakfast and sipping wine on it. Unfortunately it was very very narrow and what you can’t tell from the pics is that the building is located on a really busy street with a lot of through traffic and construction in front and all around it. As soon as you open the doors to the balcony the traffic noise and gas fumes fill the room. Also, it’s not that close to the city center so you have to like walking a lot. I would use google maps to check the place out first so you can get a better idea of where you are. Irene the cleaning lady was adorable we loved her.
