Lorene's Fish House

I came from Tampa to meet my grandaughter here for lunch today. She told me about the good food and it was all true! Who cares about atmosphere, Mom and Pop places are usually the best food! It’s take out for delicious seafood cooked perfectly, good service and clean environment. I was disappointed being out of the pork chop sandwich that everyone raves about! You have to come early! Thanks everyone for great experience.

First and foremost, the food was excellent. The pork chop was crispy and moist. The mac and cheese was super cheesy and piping hot. Be prepared to take your food home or eat in the car.

I paid over $10 for four pieces of shrimp. It’s not worth it and the lady’s attitude was just nasty. Everyone else was nice, but it was one woman there that was completely nasty and is the reason I won’t be back. Not welcoming I would’ve been open to trying the fish sandwich because it was priced better n bigger, but that lady was so rude. I never wanted to encounter her again. And also, they should tell you how much shrimp you’re gonna get because for that price it’s just crazy

Amazing food!! Everything on my platter was excellent! Shrimp, scallops and fish with tater toda and Mac and cheese, delish!!

Never had a bad meal BUT the lady working the window has the nastiest attitude. Im glad she takes orders and not cooking the food. Folks don't need that type of negative spirit cooking ppl food.

I come here often for lunchbreaks.. the food is usually good. But today I got a different server/cashier. The normal one usually asks what sauce or if I want sauce this other one just assumed I wanted ketchup, then want me to pay 50 cent on card for a different sauce that i always get, when minimal purchase on card is 5$.. make it make sense. All that just for there to be no cheese on my bacon cheeseburger... then I really waited 30 minutes for this burger and fries. Beyond aggravated today. If she would have asked from jump what sauce I wanted I could've been charged for it already.

This is a neighborhood eatery, selling fish, wings, shrimp and other items. The shrimp was their best item, then the wings. Oddly enough, the fish was not that good. They did not have catfish so I got whiting. Located near the stadium in St. Pete.

They serve breakfast until 12pm but I had been calling back to back for about 10mins and finally got through and conveniently for them it was 12:01. It’s like they let the phone just ring and ring to avoid taking orders not only for breakfast but before closing time as well which the last order is to be taken at 4:30. My son chooses Heavy’s not because the food is better because it’s not, but it’s because of the rude service at Lorene’s and it’s only the one lady who always seems to have an attitude. They’re going to lose more business because of that even though their prices keeps going up. Now they want to charge.50 for no ice smh
