Loro Parque

An amazing and truly memorable zoo experience! We absolutely loved it. The variety of birds is especially impressive — seeing so many beautiful and colorful species was simply wonderful. The dolphin and orca shows were very touching and informative. The stories shared during the shows made the experience even more special and meaningful, not just entertaining but also educational. The territory is large and pleasant to walk around, and it’s great that there are many cafés and food spots available throughout the park, with plenty of tasty options to enjoy during the visit. Overall, a fantastic place that left us with very positive emotions. Highly recommended!

This place is something out of this world! To see so many beautiful and so well cared for animals all in one place is amazing! The area i loved the most was the parrots flying overhead and free and so close. All of them were so colorful and so so close. The shows that are scheduled 2 times a day are a must see! I personally loved the whale and the dolphins ones, but the parrot show was wow! For all of this shows you must go at the gate with at least 15min ahead because the spots are limited and is crowded as we could see. ⏰ I really recommend taking a full day here. 🍽️ There are lots of sports where you can buy drinks and ice cream. The big restaurant is quick service, the food is good a d the prices are more than decent.

Amazing park full of birds and other animals. The 4 animal shows are a must see. All the animal animators are passionate and really attached to their animals. The park is well organised, clean, there are lots of toilets and restaurants, shops inside, but also picnic areas where you can eat your own food. The exit from the Orca show and the Dolfin show is a bit hard as a lot of people need to leave the place on only two narrow exits, the sea lion and parrot shows are better located. But all 4 are amazing and funny. It is worth arriving 15-20minutes earlier to secure a good viewing spot. Most things are explained in Spanish, English and German. We spent the whole day here and almost couldn't finish seeing everything it's so big.

I've heard a lot of opinions about this place: "They torture the animals, it's not worth it," but that's an absolute lie. The animals are doing wonderfully better than in many zoos. One of their songs still keeps popping into my head.In my opinion, you should definitely visit this place in Tenerife. These animals are loved there and they live like in paradise. Eat them because it's worth it. I'm adding photos.

February half term, not too busy. Superb, a great experience, lush and comfortable for people and animals. Mostly happy animals for saying that they are in captivity, perhaps some birds (small Green macaw types) could have got a bit more space and a bit of sun. Penguin area is jaw dropping, we stood on the conveyor for its full lengthy run, no expense spared for visitor and penguin comfort. Still it is the best zoo I have been to and they obviously put a lot of thought, effort and money in to creative spacing and maintenance. I would go again. Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loro Parque is easily one of the best zoos I’ve visited; it feels more like an animal sanctuary than a traditional zoo. While I’m not typically a fan of animal shows in captivity, these were very well-done. It was clear that the animals are treated with care and safety in mind. Furthermore, the presentations were highly informative and focused heavily on animal conservation and how we can help protect them. Tips for your visit: • Timing: The park is huge. Expect to spend at least 5–6 hours here. Arrive right at 9:30 AM to beat the biggest crowds. • Strategy: It’s smart to plan your shows back-to-back right at the start, leaving the rest of the day to wander and explore at your own pace. • Food: Surprisingly reasonable prices inside and the food is actually quite tasty.

4th visit to this fabulous place! (I first visited in 2014). Its a must visit if you are in Tenerife. The place is spotless, staff are so friendly and they really know their stuff! They prioritize animal welfare and it is evident throughout the park. Enclosures are tailored to the animals needs with top class veterinary care, a strong focus on conservation and education. I took an 11 year old this visit and we learned loads. A fabulous day out!

Loro Parque in Tenerife is one of the most memorable family attractions you can visit on the island. We spent a full day here and it was a real highlight of our trip — the park is beautifully laid out, lush and green, with a wonderfully diverse collection of animals from parrots and penguins to dolphins, sea lions, gorillas, and more. It’s easy to explore at a relaxed pace, and the immersive enclosures and themed areas make it feel more like an adventure than a typical zoo. The animal shows are definitely worth watching and are well-staged, with friendly trainers who share interesting facts about the species — both kids and adults were fully engaged throughout the performances. There’s also plenty to see beyond the mammals and birds, including aquariums and scenic botanical gardens, so you can make a whole day of your visit. It is a fantastic place to bring the family, especially if you’re looking for a fun and educational day out with animals and nature in a beautiful setting.

My wife and I visited Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz while on our honeymoon, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip. I just kept thinking how much my 9-year-old would have loved it too -- there's so much to see and do for all ages. We spent about six hours there, but it really wasn't enough. From start to finish, it was amazing. All of the shows were fantastic -- the orcas, sea lions, and dolphins were incredible to watch, and it was lovely to see how well cared for and happy the animals seemed. The staff clearly put a lot of effort into making the experience both entertaining and educational. Beyond the shows, the park itself is absolutely beautiful. The Aquarium is stunning, especially the shark tunnel, and the Planet Penguin exhibit -- complete with real snow -- was just brilliant. We also loved the Katandra Treetops aviary, where you can walk through bridges surrounded by tropical birds and lush greenery. Everywhere you go, the grounds are spotless and perfectly maintained. There are so many other animals and attractions to enjoy -- gorillas, tigers, parrots, orchids, and tropical gardens. The whole place is laid out really well, and it's easy to get around. The food options are good too, with plenty of places to grab a drink or a snack between shows. Everything about Loro Parque feels organised and professional, but also relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about animal welfare, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. My only advice is to arrive early and plan your route around the show times -- that way you can see everything without rushing. Overall, it was an unforgettable day and great value for money. We'll definitely go back on our next visit -- and next time, I'll be bringing my 9-year-old!

We visited this zoo during the SLOW season. It was slightly crowded but there were no lines at ticket booths, restaurants or restrooms. There was plenty of seating at the shows. If you are on a time limited tour you should plan to see all the animal shows first. They were wonderful. The park, restaurant, and restrooms were all well maintained and clean.

Loro Parque (Spanish for "parrot park") is a beautiful park with spectacular shows, astonishing animal exhibits, and prepossessing parrots. The 33 pound entrance fee is well worth it, and you can easily spend the entire day here. Everything is in Spanish, English, or German. Plan your visit around the shows (make sure to see them all!) as these are at set times. My favorites were the dolphin and orca (killer whale) show. The orca show has designated splash zones close to the front, where you can expect to get wet. The penguins and white tiger exhibits were memorable. The Ketandra Treetops display is also very cool, where you walk around wooden stairs and bridges in a large enclosure with lots of exotic parrots and birds. Food in the park is expensive as you might expect.

This park is well worth a visit. For people staying in Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas its quite a trek so its easier to take advantage of one of the trips for which tickets can be purchased from lots of outlets in both resorts. Although a long journey it allows you to see a different side to the island with lots of beautiful views. The park itself is extremely clean and well laid out. The staff are all friendly and happy to help. A place that any photographer or animal lover should definately visit as there is nothing but water or well cleaned glass between you and the gorgeous animals. All the enclosures are amazing and not one area looks uncared for or regularly visited by a park attendant. Food is available from several areas around the park, ranging from prepared sandwiches to self service buffet style to reservable table dining in the central restaurant. A place to visit and revisit on trips to Tenerife, the shows are all top notch and enclosures and number of animal types constantly being updated.

Most amazing Parrot Park in the world. Very clean. Lots to see and lots to do. The owner walks through the park every evening to check on the animals. Lots of love goes into this place. Of course, no zoo is perfect, but you can tell these guys go above and beyond to look after the well-being of the animals.

This Parque is superb. We got a free train ride all the way there on the "Loro Parque express". we all thought the park was first class and had so much to see and do. The dolphin show was the highlight of the holiday, so the family had to see it more than once. When we went some years ago the prices were very reasonable but we preferred to eat our lunch before we got there. The toilets and general area was all well taken care of on our visit

Holiday on Teneriffa? This is a place you must go if you have children or if the child in you is still alive or if you have a ffeling for animals or, or, or... We have visited a lot of animal parks before and we expected a little and typical unprofesional park made by some enthusiasts with a lot of love. We became proselytized by the professional behaviour and style of the park and its staff members. For sure, if you are not an animal hating person you will love this place, too. Our advices: go there early in the morning or stay until dawn. We did both! In the late shows you will find more space because the young children are already on the way home.

If you find yourself on the beautiful island of Tenerife then you simply must visit the Loro park which is basically a zoo but it offers so much more than you get from zoo`s in the UK. The Loro park has some amazing animals and they set up their feeding times and shows so no matter what time you arrive you are certain to get to see more than animals lazing in the sun. There are some great places to eat and drink throughout the park and it really is a great DAY out rather than a great few hours. I have been to this park several times now and could never tire of it, the surroundings are beautiful and the closeness of the animals takes your breath away. An absolute must if you visit Tenerife!

This is the highlight of my holiday every time i visit tenerife. With the fantastic animals and a brilliant penguin area i found the whole day brilliant. Would highly reccoment

An absolute no Go ! Just google Morgan and you will change your mind about visiting. Animals suffer a life in captivity to entertain visitors. Is that really worth it? I would much rather see animals in their natural habitat than support a park that doesn't even provide their animals the basic needs such as room to swim. No thanks !!

If you go to Tenerife I would definitely go to Loro Parque no matter what age you are. We went in a group all mid-late 20's and everyone loved it, we wished we could've stayed longer. We used one of the tours which was about 9 euros each but worth it as the guide told you loads of interesting shit about the animals and the park itself and also took you behind the scenes of the park. All the animal shows were really amazing, especially the sea lions which I wasn't too bothered about seeing but it turned out to be excellent. Now you can also buy combined tickets with the Siam park which also looks amazing. Cannot wait to go to Tenerife again and visit here once again, 5 stars.

One of my fondest memories from my younger years is from Loro parque. a really fantastic place for adults and kids and you get memories that will last you a lifetime. they also make a firm effort to educate visitors about the animals they have, rather than just showcasing them too.

The adverts are not exaggerating--this is a Must Do! I've been to lots of zoos and aquariums, and Loro Parque is BY FAR the BEST (Sorry Sea World and Hagenbeck's Tierpark, second place for you). The whole vibe is positive. And, there is something for everyone here. Orcas, jaguars, shows, food, tropical birds, orchids, penguins, gorillas, tropical plants.... We spent the day exploring the extensive grounds, enjoying the shows (orcas, sea lions, dolphins & birds), marveling at the plants and animals. There's a kid's play area with rollercoaster. Just be careful in the Katandra Treetops! :-) What impressed me the most was the relationship between the animals and their trainers/caretakers. It was clear that much time and intention is spent in ensuring a high-quality of life. The staff teach visitors about the animals and environment in a gentle yet honest way. The whole experience felt friendly and caring and positive. Weeks later, we're still talking about the orcas and dolphins. Our daughter says that she can't wait to go back, and that she wants to have a summer job at Loro Parque when she is a teenager! Now that's an endorsement!

From the moment you enter Loro Parque it's obvious no expense has been spared to create amazing spaces for the animals. The first thing we saw was the vast gorilla enclosure and one of the magnificent creatures running towards us at full speed - an awe inspiring sight! Next onto the Penguinarium where they have created a superb recreation of the natural habitat complete with iceberg and tonnes of falling snow. Watching them joyfully jumping and diving into the water made London Zoo's concrete penguin enclosure seem cruel. The day was topped off by the best sea lion show I have ever seen. These people really care about the animals and Loro Parque is one of the main reasons we are returning to Tenerife next year.

Loro Parque is just awesome.We were there about one month ago and Im still amazed!!I was damn sad when we leaved,because we only had 3 hours to stay!All this animals(dolphins,orcas,gorillas,tigers...)are just so unbelievable,beautiful and fascinating to whatch!!If you are at tenerife,you really have to visit this park,its great and I promise you,you wont regret!!Its defenitly more than a zoo,you'll see beautiful plants and flowers too!I will come back for sure!Join this amazing place,its worth all the time and money!!!

I had the good fortune to go here while on a cruise holiday, and you can see the love given to all the animals here by the keepers, plus this beautiful place is just fantastic and you really need two visits to fully get around the lovely place to see all the animals and shows. Plus all the places you can eat at are just as fantastic with tasty food, please enjoy your visit here, you will not be disappointed.

Big disappointment. Too crowded, weak Shows. If you like to be in the cues, waiting for something to happens then try it, otherwise go to south, there it is better.

Loro park is the best animal park/sanctuary across the entire 7 Canary Islands with hours of fun for the whole family. Upon entry to the park you will be welcomed by the lush green trees and grass that expands around the entire massive compound, fish in abundance and the many wonderfull birds that fly around the park with nothing to trap or keep them there accept their love for the staff and park. All this is just the very beggining of a fantastic experiance that will show you how intelligent some animals can be and some just lazy, as you visit animals such as penguins in a rebuilt narural habitate that even snows, orca whales working with people, dolphins playing, seals that do amazing tricks, puffins, parrots and whole lot more including a massive gorilla that loves to throw his personally made presents at people. Loro park just has too much more to mention, I would definately give it a 10 out of 10 for a must have holiday experiance you will never forget.
