Yelp
This place is pretty spectacular! If you're looking for some authentic Mexican-style seafood, then this is the place for you. I recommend going straight for the Aguachiles (a bowl containing raw shrimp fully cooked in salt water and lime, topped off with a variety of greens and spices). A word of warning: they are particularly spicy, so if you can't handle spicy food, then you will most likely not be able to finish the whole thing.
This, combined with an order of "Quesadillas Azteca" (shrimp quesadillas containing beans, sliced avocado, and huitlacoche) will take your taste buds to the coast of Mexico. These are probably the best quesadillas that I've ever eaten. I'm Hispanic... that says A LOT!
The ownership itself is very well established and the quality of this place is quite high. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because the quality is not always consistent. There are days where the plating is impeccable, the portion sizes incredibly generous, and the overall quality of the food unmatched. Other days it appears that some of the dishes are rushed, the presentation subpar, and portion sizes lacking. Perhaps I went in on a busy day. Perhaps the head chef was out that day. Maybe, just maybe, they were short staffed because someone called in sick. Either way, I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience. Everything on the menu is a win.
All in all, this is one of my favorite restaurants in town. If you're looking for that southern coast Mexican taste, this is as authentic and fresh as you'll find in the desert. With a minor tweak in consistency, this place can be one of the top restaurants in town.
