Los Altos Resort (Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"High-end sustainability is de rigueur for newer Costa Rican hotels, and Los Altos Resort is no exception. Situated along the Pacific coast on twenty-one acres of rainforest adjacent to the Manuel Antonio National Park, Los Altos is noteworthy for using a relatively small amount of its own property for man-made intrusions. Excepting the hillside perch of the hotel proper, the grounds are untouched rainforest, all the way to the sea. With an expansive spa and ocean-view infinity pool, Los Altos caters to guests who like to venture out, as well as those who’d rather have the peace and serenity brought to them." - Tablet Hotels

Our family just completed 4 nights during the 2nd half of our trip to Costa Rica. You will be amazed by the views as soon as you walk into your room. The lush forest opens up to a breathtaking view of the Pacific. The front staff was very attentive, seamless check in and easy to connect on WhatsApp. The pool experience is top notch with luxurious cabanas, plush recliners and attentive staff such as Estefani and Nazareth. You should take advantage of the ride down to their private beach. We enjoyed swimming into the powerful surf and looking back to the dense green canopy. At the beach is such an excellent staff member named Rolbin. He was so kind, personable and took the time to point out a sloth and howler monkeys that were nearby. He also showed us the safest place to swim because the beach has rocky areas. |We did not have dinner on resort, but the breakfast experience is what you would expect from a high end resort. Francisco was wonderful at making omelets, pancakes or french toast. Honestly everyone on resort had such a great attitude and customer service is a high priority. Britany worked tirelessly at their pastry shop of which our family enjoyed some sweets most nights. |The resort is close to excellent dining options such as Emilio's cafe, Samui Thai food, Cafe Milagro and La Papillon. Overall I highly recommend Los Altos for a future stay in Costa Rica

Just got back from our wonderful stay a Los Altos. Such a beautiful property, we stayed in a treetop condo style room. It has two to three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, full kitchen, living room, dining area and balcony. Each room had a balcony too. All staff was amazing. They offered a ride to the top of the property and umbrellas for our walk down the street to go to dinner. They opened up a what’s app communication the day we checked in. Used it to communicate with us. It had restaurants with menus for the property, nearby restaurants. Hours of the property. They used it to inquire about times to clean room, turn down service, suggestions for dinner. Even helped me by ordering my pizza to be delivered. Everyone was so kind. Their private beach was nice. There’s a person there to set up chair with towels order drinks or food. They will drive you down to the beach and pick you up. We saw two sloths on the property. Saw a toucan and several colorful birds. The snacks from the turn down service was so so yummy. An evening water with fruit each day. The included breakfast included fruit, fresh juice, and a croissant. There was a special juice each day. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Even a pineapple jelly. The hotel is very eco friendly focused. I did not come to Costa Rica for the lodging but this place was well worth it. The best service I have ever had in a hotel. Pura Vida.

We stayed at the private villa for a few days for honeymoon 🩵. It was a truly magical sluice of paradise. They went about and beyond to cultivate special time for us. The spa was beautiful for our couples massage. The products they had available were great quality. Sebastián was our concierge and he was very helpful and provided exceptional hospitality. Our visit wasnt long enough! Highly recommend!

Los Altos Resort is absolutely stunning—an unforgettable escape that is completely worth it. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking views, lush jungle, and luxurious amenities that made every moment special. The location is perfect, offering easy access to everything in Manuel Antonio while still feeling like a secluded paradise. What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible staff—Sebastian and Andrey went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and cared for at every turn. Whether relaxing by the infinity pool, enjoying the delicious cuisine at Karola’s Restaurant, or taking in the gorgeous ocean views, everything about this resort was magical. We can’t recommend it enough!!!

This is a wonderful hotel for families. Situated in Manuel Antonio and near Quepos, the hotel has its own private beach and restaurant. There are multiple venues in walking distance to eat. Activities include a nature tour in Manuel Antonio National Park, waterfall expedition and jumps, and the beach. The staff is very attentive and the hotel is clean with a gym and game room. We stayed in a three bedroom / 2.5 bathroom apartment. Highly recommended!

We rented Villa 1 for a couple of nights. Wonderfully secluded in jungle vegetation. The split level with the private pool and hot tube were great, the lower level with the bedroom and living area were perfect. Each morning we drank coffee on the balcony and listened to the wildlife. We would absolutely stay here again.

If you are going to pay a lot, the expectations go up. From my experience, I would spend my money elsewhere. Our room had a backed up drain on the AC creating a pool we did not want. It was fixed quickly, but why was this not addressed by whoever cleaned the room? The glass shower door scrapped the tile so bad I thought it might break. The only shelf in the shower was ripped off the wall. Food was decent, but overpriced. Wait staff was mostly friendly, but missed a number of simple requests that required asking multiple times. I would have no issues with this normally, but for the prices my expectations were higher. We ended up going into town instead for meals and had more fun for much less $$. The private beach is false advertising. It is shared with another resort and by beach there is sand somewhere between the rocks. I would not swim here for fear of injury. It is a perfect place to see thousands of hermit crabs if that is appealing. Definitely not the luxury rest on a soft sand beach masked by false advertising.

The resort was beautiful. Beds super comfortable. The elevator opens in your room!! Kids loved that. The rooms are huge. Very well designed and comfortable. Master bath is super cool. Gym was great. Great views. Animals everywhere. The breakfast was delicious and the service at the resort even better. Would stay again for sure.
