The hostel was very nice! The common space was lovely and social. The rooms and showers were clean with the bunks having curtains! The location is amazing as well. The travel agency in the hostel is great for booking Tikal tours and transit between cities. Would recommend staying here :)

The hostel is well located, which made getting around easy. We had lunch there as guests, and the food was decent. However, the evenings can be quite loud, which may be uncomfortable for some visitors. We booked a suite and were promised a fast internet connection, but it did not work properly for most of our stay. Despite several reminders, the staff failed to fix the issue or keep us informed, which was disappointing and showed a lack of communication.

Los Amigos Hostel feels like a safe harbor in Flores. You arrive tired from the road and leave steadier, almost renewed. The nights are long and honest, filled with quiet talks, music in the pub, and shared rum with the locals. Mornings come gently, with light in the courtyard and plans for distant ruins. It is a simple place, well lived, where travelers rest, meet, and remember why they chose to go so far.

Awesome hostel! We stayed in private room, which was really cozy, clean and nice. Location is fantastic! Good food available downstairs in the resturant. Shower worked fine and had hot water.

I'm sorry to give it 3 stars, in general we had a good stay, the facilities were great and staff was very kind, the only thing is that it seemed a bit disorganized. Initially, the first day I was given the wrong bed and on the next day when I looked for my stuff it wasn't there anymore and sombody else had taken the bed! Thank God they had kept my stuff safe and could recover it in the end, but it was scary to have to wait until the next day just to see if it was there. The one other thing is that for every card payment you want to make they will charge you +15%, which is not even the tax or comission that they have to pay for themselves. I think that as a serious company they should either pay their own taxes from customers payments (out of fixed prices) or adjust their prices so that they cover these expenses without being charged extra for no reason other than "that's how we do here".

I wouldn’t typically leave a review about the noise in a party hostel but this particular hostel put so much emphasis on the “quiet after 10pm” rule. Of course, in reality this rule is not followed. It’s a really nice and social hostel but if sleep is your priority, perhaps it’s not the hostel for you.

Nice hostel. Very social with music. Locals come here too. The restaurant is in the middle of the building (if you go to the bathroom, you have to pass the restaurant). I don't see a problem here, but good to know. At 9PM everything closes down, which is pretty early.

I had an amazing stay at Los Amigos — easily one of the best hostels I’ve ever visited. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and full of character. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, offering brilliant customer service from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect space to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made the experience special were the people — both the friendly team and the fellow travelers. There’s a real sense of community here. I can’t recommend Los Amigos enough and would definitely stay again!
