Google
Fantastic food! The mixte seafood with coconut sauce was divine, and the chaulafan portion is huge- easily enough for three meals! Kayla was our server and she's great! Very attentive and friendly. Wonderful South American atmosphere, charming place. We'll be back for sure!!!

Google
Fire. Good food, good margs on happy hour, great music playing, and very good pricing. Definitely would come back. Would recommend the empanadas and llapingacho.

Google
Fun place with very good food. Really enjoyed everything I had .

Google
Food was amazing and on point. As someone who has been to most of the south Latin America countries the flavor profile and taste/texture is all there. This place is not just another Spanish restaurant. It is a warm home feel to it with wait staff that is attentive to every need. Very pleased with this location and will be back.

Google
This is a new place my spouse and I hadn't eaten at before. The restaurant look nice and clean inside and the decor was inviting. The staff was nice. Our food was very good. I would recommend this place and we will probably be back in the future.

Google
The food was great. I had the Sopa de Mariscos, which was excellent except for the "boiled three days ago" potato chunks. You do not need the potatoes in this Sopa! The noise on the t.v.'s also could go down below deafening. We tried several dishes here and they were all great. For those thinking this is a Peruvian place, it is not! The one Peruvian dish they claim is ceviche, but it just as well could be from any Latin- American country. The wait staff told us it's mainl an Ecuadorian restaurant, still, very, very, delicious! To the owners: there are no soccer fans that would like to come eat here, WITHOUT the t.v. screaming in their ears. Thank you.

Food was amazing. Loved this place.

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot with great Latin music, authentic dishes, and a welcoming vibe, Los Andes is it. The atmosphere is perfect whether you're grabbing dinner or just chilling at the bar. The staff is personable, and the bartender knows how to make you feel at home--super friendly and engaging. I tried the llapingacho, and it was delicious. Packed with flavor and almost felt like a healthy choice, but still indulgent. As for drinks, I had a classic Cuba Libre with Coke, fresh lime juice, and Diplomatico rum--simple but made just right. Oh, and if you're a fan of Aguardiente, they've got you covered with all the varieties! Definitely coming back.

Yelp
I came to Los Andes with several friends for a quick lunch because of its central location in uptown. It was nice to try some different Latin dishes I had never had before. Because it was lunchtime, the restaurant was pretty open and service was fast. I also enjoyed a margarita. I tried the New York Strip platter and the vegetarian platter and they shared the same beans and rice sides. My steak was cooked perfectly, but was just a little tough with non-rendered fat pieces. I loved the plantain and avocado served with it and also enjoyed the beans but thought they lacked salt. Other than that, the experience was great and I would come back again.

Yelp
What a cool spot! First thing that stood out was how immaculately clean the restaraunt presented. Surprised to learn Los Andes has been in operation for more than four years and from our experience their quality has stood the test of time. Sitting at the bar top I feel gives you the best interaction to learn about what makes a place great or unique and Los Andes delivered our bartender gave great insight to the menu given it's a family run restaraunt and she was from Columbia she helped us navigate the different dishes and pairings. We had a blast conversations and learning. Food was delicious especially loved their hot sauce I would suggest getting adventurous and try a few options. Though make sure you pick the Yuca fritas. Also happy hour goes till 7 PM now that's amazing 2 for 1 cerveza!

Yelp
When I'm travelling, I try to find local restaurants that offer something I can't get at home. Empanadas are one of these foods that I could eat every day for the rest of my life and never tire of them. Other google reviewers had great things to say about the empanadas at Los Andes so I decided to try them for myself. And mannnn....these are THE TRUTH! I got the empanadas mixto (one beef, one cheese and one chicken). As you can tell from the photo, each protein choice had a significantly different appearance that help distinguish which one is on. I like the touch of chimmichuri sauce they included, as well. I have saved this location for future trips to the area. If you're on the fence... don't be!

Yelp
A lovely restaurant in the heart of LynLake neighborhood. Los Andes highlights the cuisine of a number of South American restaurants. The cocktail menu features a few drinks you might expect such as Psico Sour and Margarita, but also included some unique takes on traditional drinks. My Pisco Sour was both aesthetically pleasing and tasty! As a vegetarian, Latin American restaurants are challenging so I was pleased that they offered a vegetarian plate with a sampling of beans, corn cakes (arepa), plantains, rice and more. unfortunately it was fairly bland. One of my friends finally asked for some of their house hot sauce- something I should have done right away. It greatest improved the food. I am at a loss as to why they don't offer that or their chimichurra like sauce with this platter. add that and this meal would have been perfect. My friends tried the soltada and a variety of fish dishes plus appetizers. Many raves! I would recommend as a restaurant that meat eaters can take their vegetarian friends to and make everyone happy, but if it is just non-meat eaters I would go across the street to Trio.

Yelp
Picada and chicharon! We found an authentic Ecuadorian and Peruvian restaurant here! The "Picada" and the "Chicharon" were incredibly fresh. So many savory and well seasoned meats in one dish, I guess that's why I'm not a vegetarian. This place is huge, it's clean and the service is outstanding. When I come back to this city, I will definitely be back. If your looking for delicious Latin cuisine this is the place. If there's a spot that has great tasting food, I'm going to find it anywhere I go, cause that's what I do!

Yelp
The food was AMAZING, the service was great from the moment we got there to when we left. It was a enjoyable family atmosphere with great music. Definitely one of my favorite places. Do recommend and will come back soon! I got the encebollado and the yucca frita with chicarron! Delicious ‍

Yelp
Food was very good here and nice atmosphere. Front of the house was very nice but it was a little difficult to get a refill on the water - they were pretty busy though. Food was delicious although I found overall most restaurants in the area were overpriced for what they were - not just specific to here. Would definitely try more of dishes as everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were great.

Yelp
This is a great place to go have dinner with friends! We came here for a semi-celebratory occasion and had a really nice time. I'd been here before so I recommended it to my friends, and they were rightly impressed with the food and the lively atmosphere. The Ceviche Peruano is a particular treat for the taste buds, with its mound of seafood shreds sitting in a pool of flavorful citrus marinade. My friend had Farm Hen Soup which seemed straightforward but he devoured it with visible delight. He also got something called a "Tree Tomato Slurpee", which sounds like you'd only drink it on a dare but it was actually a delicious, sweet, creamy dessert drink. This time I ordered Picada Los Andes, which is like an awesome meat tour. All the different meats on my plate were uniquely flavored and cooked really well. Whatever you order here, make sure there is Yuca Frita within reach at all times. We ordered one for the table, and we maybe should have ordered a second one so that we could all indulge a bit more. We came in on a Friday night without reservations, and there was live music and dancing. As we were leaving at around 10:30, there was a line to get in. They have their own parking lot just off Garfield, but that fills up quickly so you might have to park on the street anyway (like I did this time). Also, if you're there at peak partytime, you can expect the music to be loud. But based on the food alone and from personal experience... I recommend recommending Los Andes.

Yelp
Los Andes has a small parking lot on the side and street parking. I have celiac and a lot of their menu is gluten free naturally! This was about my third time here and I have not had anything that made me sick from gluten. For a drink I got the Pisco Sour and really enjoyed it. For my meal, I got Pollo al Grill and thought it was very good. I would definitely come back here and try something else. I thought the prices were normal at about 15 dollars a meal and 12 dollars per drink. The server was quick to refill drinks and check on us during our meal.

Yelp
Amazing food every time I go. Their churrasco here is amazing and you can't go wrong with anything that's on their menu. The service is always very friendly here! The ambiance makes you feel like a regular at a diner, mixed in with a fun bar atmosphere at night! It's always a reliable late night restaurant so if you're ever looking for good food on a late night (or during the day!) this is the place to go.

Yelp
Good service and very tasty food. I had the seco de chivo which had a wonderful flavor. My wife had the arroz frito con pollo which was a hugely generous portion. Sadly, I never was good at Spanish so we had to use English. They have a parking lot right by the restaurant which is a big plus on lake street. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The only challenge was that they didn't seem set up for the Yelp coupon for checking in. They got it done, it just wasn't easy. Nice service and tasty food with generous portions. I recommend Los Andes.

Yelp
Had no idea what to expect going into it as there's few pictures that do the atmosphere of the place justice, and photos of food are always just photos of food. But holy hell, were we pleasantly surprised. Started with the Empanadas Mixto appetizer (individual cheese, beef and chicken empanadas) and later went on to get the Lomo Saltado (top sirloin stir fry with rice and fries) while the birthday girl got the Chalaufan (Ecuadorian Fried Rice with chicken, beef, and shrimp). So, so good. And the portions are more than generous. P.S. the murals and wall art are beautiful.

Yelp
la comida no está tan mal el problema es que nunca se acercan para preguntar si ocupas algo y el tips te lo incluyen sin preguntar no lo recomiendo.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Family owned. My brother works down the street and when I visited him for lunch we did take out for here. That time I had the whole fried trout. Wow....so flavorful. Now that places are allowed dine in, took the family. We all loved it. Son had the chicken wings, mom and I had the mix empanadas and yucca fries. Those alone filled us, but we plunged on to mains and we were so glad we did. Dishes are fresh, and full of flavor (not heat). The goat was well prepared. Cooked perfectly. Nice and done, easy to eat off bone (not dried out or been sitting in a hot steam table for hours). I had the shrimp and fish in a coconut sauce. Wow. So good and so glad to have the rice to absorb the lovely sauce. Wife ordered the lemonade. It was freshly made. She loved every drop. Other items to note. We were served with cloth napkins, heavy duty silverware, and real glassware. This place pays attention to detail. If you order takeaway, they have a hot box they keep it in until you arrive (unlike someplaces that just put the bags behind the receptionist in a take away bag). We will be back!

Yelp
First time, the location is a nice place. We are not from here, so decided to explore the city and try new food. Got a rice with chicken plate, it was really good, just a little salty. And maduros, we were satisfied with food. Waitress was nice, just not very friendly or attentive. Overall great food, just overpriced.

Yelp
Easy parking, easy to find, loud music but fun Latin tunes. Some kind of soccer match was playin on the TV. Our server was prompt. We ordered Patacones con queso which were a little bland but super filling and they combined well with the onions from the ceviche. We also had the yucca frita which was amazing and the ceviche Peruano was delicious, really well spiced. My guest was born and raised in Peru and would rate the ceviche as very authentic and delicious. Overall a really great experience experience. Though I expected the restaurant to be Peruvian cuisine, they offer more Ecuadorian dishes. I would like to return and try the empanadas and the seafood rice .

Yelp
Delivery every day for your order No missed delivery and no late delivery On time delivery i really respect the customer service

Yelp
This is a good spot for Gordon Ramsey to visit for Kitchen Nightmares. The place looked clean and was about 25% full on a Tuesday night. Despite it being slow, it took almost five minutes to get seated at a table. It took another 25 minutes to get our order taken. Ordered a glass of wine and a daiquiri. The wine was absolutely horrendous and sent it back. The daiquri was actually a margarita on the rocks with no salt as they didn't use rum. The waitress barely made eye contact and was not engaging. The food came in about 15 minutes. Ordered the Chaulafan which is a fried rice with chicken, shrimp, beef, carrots, peas and eggs. The rice was clearly a couple of days old. The chicken and beef were overcooked. I think they reheated leftovers and added the shrimp. Also ordered the Encocado de camerones which is coconut shrimp and rice. This dish was very bland as it only had a coconut taste to it. The shrimp was cooked good though. The presentation of the plates was sloppy and not worth taking a picture of for the review. The waitress never asked how our meal, refilled our waters or asked if we needed anything. After she cleared the dishes, she didn't ask if we wanted dessert or the bill. She walked by our table at least 5 times without bringing the bill. After waiting 15 minutes, I got sick of waiting to see how long this experience could go on and asked for the bill. She didn't even take the wine off the tab despite it being sent back! Since this place doesn't serve fresh food, can't make a correct cocktail and has horrible service, it is a great candidate for Kitchen nightmares.

Yelp
This is not authentic Latin food. Just another American restaurant with poor service
google avatar

Yvett V.

Yelp
Food is ok, drinks are ok service is ok. They added additional 16% service charge on our bill and expected gratuity on top of that. According to MN statue of labor industries. 177.23 subd 9 it states that its for gratuity not service charge.

Yelp
If you're yearning for a taste of Latin America, this is your spot. The variety and representation left me speechless. Coupled with the great atmosphere and good music, you will not be disappointed. My first there, they had a Cuban salsa group who sang and then transitioned into a dance lesson. Still to this day I'm blown away by such an awesome experience.

Yelp
Great drink selection and a lot of filling food choices for Ecuadorian food. Always need a pilsner your dish and the sangria is good as well!

Yelp
It was just me so I had the ceviche and the yuca fries. I thought I was ordering the trout but must have ordered the wrong item. I should have known when they said it was $6.95. LOL! The quality of the shrimp and fish in the ceviche was great and the marinade was yummy! The yucca fries were fantastic! I'm not sure which sauce came with it but I dipped it in all of them and they were all good. The bar service I got picking up was nice too. I'd give more stars but I'd like to try more options first.

Yelp
Great food Nice clean place as well. Bar looks great, but they need to let up on the fabuloso the entire restaurant ricks of it; it like eating the restroom.

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Wow! I absolutely love Chimborazo and this place delivered on the equadorian cuisine I have been looking for since we moved to Uptown. Appetizer: We got Yuca Frites, classic and savory. Love the onion & tomato mixture with it, the sauce was just a little too spicy for my MN palate but my husband loved it! Also, got the queso empanada. Not something I would usually get but how can you go wrong with cheese and fried dough, you can't. This is my husband's new favorite app. Entree: Encocado de Camarones, this was my favorite part of the meal and I really enjoyed everything so that says a lot! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, the sauce was lightly creamy and just a hint of spice. Mmmm. I can't wait to go back! No picture, we ate it in less than 10 minutes. Bon Appetit!

Yelp
First, let me just say that the Patacones con Carne are amazing, the ceviches were excellent and the drinks were surprising for a place like this. If we had stopped there, this would have been a 5 star review. Unfortunately, the mains were all somewhere between meh and OK. I would shy away from any larger pieces of beef here. I feel like this place could cut its menu in half (removing the bad half) and be really great. If I lived next door, I would probably learn what's great and be able to make it a great experience. Let me know if you want me to come in and test/try everything! :-) (also, as a wing jedi, I would have gotten the wings if I hadn't JUST had wings next-door. Can't imagine they are great but you never know.)

Yelp
Picada Los Andes, Yucca Frita y bebidas colombianas. Recomendado 100 %. La música y arte son muy buenas.

Yelp
This was really great food and service. The server helped me and my guest choose just the right meals. Very unique menu, good descriptions of the food so you can order correctly, full bar. Love this place and the food and will be back for sure!

Yelp
Good old Dulono's Pizza has transformed to Latin America cuisine establishment. Ordered Carne Asada O Empanada and Chaulafan. Both are delicious. Fried plantains were crispy and nice flavor with "deep fried food dipping sauce". Andes Curtido (beans) was a little sweet for me but it was actually tasted better next day. Chaulafan is mixed with generous amount of chopped surf and turf. In fact, I made 3 meals out of this dish! Highly recommend. I would visit again!!

Yelp
Excellent food, I ordered Through door dash and I am a returning customer.something very different and very delicious meals.

Yelp
Great food, large portion and yummy fun drinks for our girls night. Everyone cheered so loud we realized it was super pack due to a soccer game!!! Wished we could have tried out more drinks.

Yelp
Los Andes Latin Bistro you are absolutely amazing, I had a wonderful experience here today. The menu is great and the atmosphere is perfect. Most everything I've tried thus far have been really good. Team is really helpful and will certainly help you with anything. Los Andes Latin Bistro... What else could you want?
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
We did takeout and the food was excellent. My wife is from Colombia and has very high standards. Los Andes exceeded them. Next time we will eat there.

Julie P.

Yelp
This is our second time coming here, we definitely love it here both times! Very spacial, perfect for social distancing if you are worried about being around others during COVID. We love the Choros A La Chalaca, which is their peruvian style mussels dish - which doesnt taste heavy as an appetizer which you dont want if you want to eat more - and their NY steak entree is always on point. They have a good variety selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcholic, which you normally don't see in latin restaurants here in the Twin Cities. We also recommend their wings as well. Lucia and the rest of the staff have been nice and wonderful! We are excited to come here as an option during these tough times. Support your local businesses!

Allysa G.

Yelp
The food here is legit. Everything tasted so good. It's authentic, and the service was great. The tip is included in the pricing, so the menu looks costly on the upfront. However, it's better to know the staff is making a livable wage!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
great ambiance, great food with some south american favorites, really wonderful!! A great place to enjoy some pisco

emad m.

Yelp
Didn't like the food. Very dim. Service was slow. It was listed under Peruvian but it really isn't.

D T.

Yelp
Wow the Seco de Chiva (goat) was a perfect dish. Delicious! I'll definitely come back to explore the unique menu.
google avatar

Fabiola E.

Yelp
Authentic Ecuadorian food. Great juices. Great service. Food was like being back in Ecuador. They import many items from South America. Service was prompt and attentive. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town.

Brian F.

Yelp
I've been to Los Andes a few times and always love it. They specialize in Peruvian and Colombian food, lots on the menu I've never had before so I'm grateful for the experience. My go-to is the Peruvian dish lomo saltado, a simple delicious beef stew served with rice and perfect french fries . Ceviche, Corn cakes and the fried plantains were all excellent appetizers. This is a really homey place, I felt really welcomed. Prices are very reasonable.
