Spent the weekend overlanding in South Padre Island, and we were craving Mexican food on our way back home. We really should have waited until we got to Houston.
I cannot speak for the authenticity of their flavors, because there were none. No flavor. I did not think it was possible for Mexican food to be bland, but it was. I am no chef, but I can make tacos at home that are a hundred times better than those I had at Los Cabos. These chicken tacos were not only boring, but also awful dry. I ate one and left the rest. We also ordered the Plato Texas, out of which only the beef enchilada was (almost) decent.
Serving sizes are huge, which meant that by the end of lunch we had all this food on our table that we did not like enough to take home.
I had the lowest of expectations, and was still disappointed. Utterly disappointed.
