Set high above the lake, a five-minute walk down to the shore, this small hotel is a charming retreat. However, having reserved a premium room advertised on Expedia as lake view with a photo illustrating a full lake view with two big windows, I was unhappy to be taken to a small, garden-view room. After a lot of confusion we were finally given a big ground-floor room with a peak of the lake to the far left. The very nice woman assured me that this was a premium room. If I understand correctly when you pay for a premium room you get this or the one with the real lake view. Before booking I would check with the hotel to make sure you’re going to get the second floor lake view. Otherwise, the hotel was small and very comfortable. The bed and linens were excellent, the furnishings lovely. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub before dinner, but the pool was too murky to swim. Breakfast was very good. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and it was simple and good. No menu, just an offer of fish or meat, vegetables, salad, or potatoes. The sautéed veg were the best we had in Chile, a country that seems (despite the summer season) not to favor vegetables.
