11/07/2024 Today was redemption day for Los Compayitos I took a second chance with them and was worth it Got this chilaquiles plate with some rice, beans, & two eggs 🍳 for $10 bucks All the combo taste good fresh, and well made FIRST EXPERIENCE 2 months ago - was in downtown LA for some business and came across this lunch truck, in south Figueroa, so i grabbed a 4 taco plate, 2 carnitas & 2 “Birria” and im 100% that was the tasteless birria I had in my life 😂😂 im sorry but whoever is making that one and saying is birria, gotta be served as sacrifice to the aztec gods 😂😂 Oh well the carnitas were good, A plus for the double crispy tortillas 🫡

My family and I visited Los Angeles from Chicago and we had an awesome exoerience when we found Los Compayitos Food Truck! The food was fresh, authentic and delicious! The presentation of the food was awesome! The owner made us feel at home and we enjoyed it so much, we patronized the truck twice during our stay! Well done and we all agree we would patronized them daily if we lived here!

Found this food truck in downtown LA. Thought we would stop for a quick breakfast. WRONG. Waited almost 40 min for our food and when asked why others were coming and going with their food she replied they had phone orders. Ok maybe so, but they should warn people that you will be waiting for a significant period of time for food from a truck. Once we got the food it was nothing special.

the workers make u feel comfortable and the food is a lot for cheap i really loved this food truck i will for sure be coming back.

I ordered last week and the cemita was huge and tasty. I would definitely come here again!

Good food decent prices

Been coming to this truck since about 2019, originally for their Tortas and Cemitas. Now I can get over their Wet Burritos! They have always been nice and responsive, making phone order (Yelp phone number is up to date) pickups a breeze. I hope these guys don't go anywhere, a true staple of DTLA Figueora.

Great service but awful tacos. I don't know how much exposure the rest of these people below me have had to authentic Mexican food but wow I was pretty disappointed today. The meat I got was 70% fat so I could make a whole taco out of all the fat I removed. They only gave me one lime wedge and only one salsa which was mild not spicy. Honestly would not go back.

The service was great and the food was pretty good. I'd go again and try something else. Some things don't look as good but you just gotta look carefully to see what sounds good to you.

Everything I've had from this truck is phenomenal. Good portions and the food is oh so delicious! The people working there are polite and friendly and you can tell they care about the quality of their food and service.

Oh my gosh! What a find! The line at a nearby restaurant was too long so we got in right before the Sat rush. Best service ever, amazing drinks and the food was sooooo good! The furniture and decor was really great also!

Asada burrito (no rice, added pico de Gallo). Delicious!! So much flavor, I want another.

Fresh tacos everyday! Nacho Cheese Carne Asada Supreme is HIGHLY Recommended! They have a truck on Figueroa Street & 8th Street.

I always stop by for a cali burrito. They load their burritos with everything it's huge and heavy. Would recommend that if it's your first time.

This food truck saved me from wandering the streets looking for food. My company dinner was horrible and only 3 blocks from my hotel was this bright yellow truck. It had a bunch of choices, but when in California, get the California burrito. An even bigger surprise was the chopped white meat chicken inside, along with french fries and various other salsas and pico de gallo. They have five different versions, so not sure exactly which I ordered. Got the thing to go and it had some fresh chips and a slightly spicy green sauce on the side. Definitely a life saver.

Live in the area and have been meaning to try this food truck for awhile! Glad I stopped by! Location: The truck is parked in a parking lot on the corner of Figeroua and 8th street. Outside: The food truck looks well kept and clean all around. They even have benches outside for people to sit and eat. Food: Tonight I got a California burrito with asada (~9). Pretty decent size; I was only able to eat half! It comes with some homemade tortilla chips, red and green sauce, and lime wedges. It was so good! Will definitely come back and try other items. Really interested in the Hawaiian combo quesadilla! Note: Besides cash, they also accept credit card and ApplePay!

This is a really good truck but get here early. They're pretty much sold out by 2:30/3pm Love their breakfast burrito & their fish burritos. Asada fries are really good too.

Great staff, and amazing food quality. This Mexican food hits the spot! Very affordable too. Located right by the Avis and First National Bank on S Figueroa between 8th and 9th. The spicy salsa is ACTUALLY spicy...I love it... but if you're heat sensitive get the mild. I think it tastes amazingly fresh and good. I'll be back!

In a great location and with an impressive menu considering it's a taco truck. Salsa is actually spicy and the quality of the meat is surprisingly good.. I checked this out on the night of the Laker game so they were doing a fair amount of volume..

I have breakfast almost every day there and tacos every tuesday. Food is delicious, and tacos are fire! service is fast and staff is lovely.
