spent four nights at Los Corales, and here’s my honest review.
When we arrived, we were immediately taken aback by how beautiful the place was. The atmosphere had a very calming, zen-like quality. A lush, well-kept path lined with tropical vegetation led directly to the beach—it was truly picturesque. We stayed in an upstairs room with a garden view, which was lovely. The room itself was small but manageable, and the bathroom was clean, well-equipped, and had plenty of hot water. Everything felt well maintained.
Breakfast was included, but calling it a buffet is a bit of a stretch. It consisted of eggs (cooked to order), lots of white bread, a small cup of fruit, and coffee or tea. Anything beyond that came with an extra charge. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, there was one staff member who seemed less enthusiastic—perhaps just a bad day or two, and I don’t believe she was full-time.
The beach in Máncora was absolutely stunning and a major highlight of our trip. As for the on-site restaurant, the menu offered good variety, but prices were on the higher side.
Unfortunately, the trip took a turn on our last day when I came down with a severe case of food poisoning. I spent the night with a high fever and stuck in the bathroom and bed. Thankfully, my Peruvian wife was able to get medication in town, which helped a lot. I'm writing this review from Miraflores, still recovering.
As beautiful as Los Corales is, due to the food poisoning and how it affected the end of our stay, I personally wouldn’t return.
