"Artisan Handicrafts at Pueblito Los Dominicos Pueblito Los Dominicos, an artisan village in eastern Santiago , is named after the church bearing the same name. This quaint center offers many quality handicrafts, from leather goods to lapis jewelry, Mapuche silver, and textiles. The setting is picturesque and if the hunger overcomes you, there are tasty empanadas de pino (beef empanadas) to hold you until dinner. Apoquindo 9085, Las Condes (Metro Los Dominicos)"

Yelp
Great place to visit and purchase local arts and crafts. Better to go there during the week as the center is packed at the weekend.

Yelp
This place is an oasis of tranquility and it is just steps away from Los Dominicos Metro Station. Just as the name suggests, it is like a small town where you can find mostly handmade, traditional things, but you can also find lots of animals. Since there are many stores, you can spend a whole afternoon there. There are places to eat, art exhibitions and an insectary. If you're a tourist and really want to take pictures I suggest you do so, but in stealth mode. Some sellers can get really irritated. Overall, is a nice place to spend the day.

Yelp
Most of the pictures I've seen online of Los Dominicos doesn't quite capture the quaint cozy atmosphere. They look a little run down, secondhand... But when you're actually there it really has a nice village, handicraft local feel to it and it was an exciting experience exploring all the little stores and finding some unique items both for myself and as gifts. I discovered what a "pillan" is and bought a couple of sterling pendants. I also bought some nice alpaca shawls as gifts to later realize everybody wanted one and I could've easily bought twice the amount. I also bought some little lapis lazuli figurines - a maori head, a penguin for my daughters - they loved them and display them proudly on their bookshelves. I had regrets that I didn't buy some lapis lazuli jewelry for myself - and also a leather bag - at the time I felt the prices were pretty high for the location - but you really can't find the same stuff for that price in the US.

Yelp
Loved walking through this little artisan village with the Andes as a backdrop!! Picked up a few souvenirs from various vendors and tried the pastel de choclo at Antilucan- highly recommend both; a great way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
Located in Las Condes, at the foothills of the los Andes Mountain and surrounded by a simple country style atmosphere, the historical colonial site of Los Dominicos is found. Located next to the beautiful San Vincente Ferrer church, a national monument, the village is a 'must stop' for tourist. The shops built with mud and straw, are home for more than 180 artisans, representing the best and most complete showing of Chilean handicraft.
