Los Dos Toritos Restaurant

This place deserves all the 5 stars it gets, so glad we stopped at this restaurant!! Food was soo good. The torta, the churros, the tacos, the salsa bar and the pumpkin spice horchata were so good, I’m just sad I didn’t try their cucumber agua fresca. Everything was very clean and updated, and they even had cute Halloween decorations. My kids loved their toy vending machines. They have an extensive menu. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it! Just wish I lived closer. Este lugar esta muy limpio y la comida recien hecha y deliciosa, lo recomiendo ampliamente. Se merecen todas las reseñas de 5 estrellas sin duda. Tienen mucha variedad y todo lo que comimos estaba muy rico.

Customer service was really nice. The restaurant was very clean and the food was delicious! My husband ordered a carnitas bowl and I ordered taquitos, so delicious! Would recommend this spot if you’re on the way to Vegas and hungry or waiting for your Tesla to charge…overall great experience!

Driving out of death valley and needed to get a bite to eat, we didn't want fast food or sandwiches... like a mirage this little place appears so why not. The breakfast burrito was delicious and impressive. I couldn't finish it so I saved it for the inevitable traffic jam that is interstate 15. The chilaquiles were also abundant and just like mom's But what stole the show was the salsa bar. The offerings were fresh and definitely homemade. I tried all of them and each had its own distinctive flavor bringing back memories of peppers being roasted in the kitchen and my eyes watering from the capsicum laced fumes. If your ever going through the desert on your way to Vegas or the dunes I recommend stopping in getting a bite and dont forget to visit the salsa bar.

Today was my first time getting food from this Mexican restaurant, honestly, food was delicious, portion very generous, service was 5 🌟. I really recommend this place. Also they have Salsa bar, you can grab different salsas, fresh chopped cucumbers, and more. If you passing baker area, you must to stop and try it yourself.

We were traveling and stopped. Not much to choose from in Baker but we chose right. Food was great staff friendly. We will definitely stop there again when in the area. I had chilequilles, so good. Carnival tacos were good too.

This place is no joke ! It is DELICIOUS! I ordered three veggie sopes to go and they even put a few chips in there (presentation was nice). Their in-house fresh Jamaica is SO well-balanced. I CANT WAIT to drive back through here. As a semi truck driver, this place is a literal gem. Thank you to the owners and the employees to help make this a possibility for us on the road - to eat healthy, freshly prepared food. Absolutely no complaints. THANK YOU!

Just finished charging my Tesla on the way home from Vegas and stopped for dinner. It was my first time visiting this place, but I found it because my family loves tacos. The young guy taking our order was really nice and friendly. We ordered the street tacos and a quesadilla. Contrary to my expectations, the food was delicious! The quesadilla, in particular, had a wonderfully moist texture that was very impressive. I also really liked that there was a separate station for sauces, so we could grab whatever we wanted. I highly recommend this place for a quick meal after charging your EV on the road.

I have to say this restaurant is really good. The food is all very delicious. Especially Menudo and churros. The only negative experience is that I found a piece of small plastic in the soup… it was really really delicious, but I was really disappointed about it… the waitress refunded my money and sent me a flan and the churro, which again, tasted so good🥹🥹🥹 tbh, because they(menudo and churro) both tasted so good, I will give the 5 star rate. The Fajita is just good, nothing so special. The other concern is that they don’t have enough staff for sure🤣the lady in the cashier was also in charge of running all the tables 🤣🤣she’s too busy with everything. Hopefully they could hire more people in the front😂 I think I’ll consider visiting here again next time driving through Baker.👍

Came in for a breakfast burrito, and it was delish! Located in Baker, off the exit from the 15 fwy. Some parking spots outside the restaurant. Not too far from the Tesla charging station if you want to walk over. Clean interior and restrooms. Employees are friendly. I only had the breakfast burrito, as I was on my way back to LA early in the morning. The burrito was nicely filled and had great flavor. They have a salsa bar and I liked the green avocado sauce with it. Comes also with a few chips. They have most of the typical Mexican food items - tacos, burritos, etc. they also have a good selection of drinks. I'll definitely make this one of my stops to/from Vegas, and want to try their lunch items. Nothing against Taco Bell and Del Taco, but if you want authentic Mexican food in Baker, this is the stop to make.

Thank you fellow Yelpers!!! Driving home from Vegas and we wanted something halfway. The usual spot in Baker has gone downhill. Went on Yelp and found this restaurant. Everyone loved their dishes. Taquitos. Tostada. Street tacos. Everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. It's a small place. It shares the front parking lot with a store. I suggest parking on the side because it's easier to get on the main street since the freeway is right by the restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the food out on disposable plates.

Youuuu guysssss!!! I'm never one to really stop and sit down somewhere to eat when on my way to SoCal or coming back to Vegas, but we were hungry and I found this GEM of a place simply from Yelp! I had no idea where we were going, but so many Yelp reviews can't be wrong, right? They were absolutely right- the food is fresh, delicious, and piled high! I got carne asada fries and lengua tacos with a large horchata and WOW. They were piled with meat, well cooked and flavorful, and hit the spot. The gentleman working the front was so helpful when I asked questions about what was good, what was on their menu, etc. and was very friendly! It's not a huge place, but there were a good amount of clean tables and booths, with a good amount of people eating there. The service was so friendly, and the food was so good, we even ordered in more burrito to have for when we got back home, and that definitely did not disappoint! Ps- they have a salsa bar and we loved trying them all. PPS- the large horchata is HUGE. I could've done with a medium, which I ended up asking a cup for so I could fit the remainder of my drink in my cup holder for the rest of the drive LOL. If ever I get hungry on the road again, I'm stopping here!

Food was amazing we had the Supreme Nachos with Alpastor meat. It was the perfect serving size to share with my wife. We been here before on the past and will definitely be back here again. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to give it a try. Service was excellent as well as the ambiance plenty of seating and the place is very clean. I'm happy with this experience. Consistantly good tacos! Everything is fresh and clean. The portions are large but the prices are small . The young woman running the counter is always super friendly !

Oh is an excellent choice we routinely stop here when we are on road trips to Vegas and beyond. Today I switched it up and ordered a Carnitas torta instead of my usual street tacos. I was glad that I gave the torta a try it was delicious the bun was so fresh and toasted perfectly, the Carnitas were crispy and delicious as usual. This place is very clean inside and has really good friendly service. The salsa bar is well stocked and has a good variety of toppings. Love this place great prices and excellent food

Fast, efficient service, accomodating of customized orders like no onions. Good food. Clean and comfortable inside. I had a sope with carnitas and horchata for lunch. Came with a group of 6 and we were able to sit together easily. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food (burritos, fajita).

The prices were a lil high but you get a LARGE portion, so totally worth it! My husband was SUPER EXCITED about the large bottles of Mexican Coca-Cola (his favorite!) If I were ever out this way again (visiting Death Valley National Park) I'd eat here again, for sure!

Clean dining room, salsa bar stocked the limes looked a little dried out. Menu prices have went up $2 more per item. Cashier was inviting and had a nice demeanor. She directed me towards the salsa bar which was clean and stocked.... Today ordered: Carne Asada Fries: $13 HUGE thick fries melted cheese and little pieces of Carne Asada sprinkled thick all around. Couldn't even finish it. Later day when it was cold was still good. Chorizo Burrito: $10 A little salty but the burrito was good. It was the size of my forearm (woman) filled with cheese and beans paired with their red and green salsa was delicious.

A stop in Baker is much needed whenever you got a long drive back from Vegas. We stopped at Los Dos Toritos not wanting to eat at any of the big chain places. Prices were decent. We ordered a veggie burrito, ceviche, and a quesadilla for the little. Everything was so gooooood and the salsa bar was awesome. We'll definitely be stopping here next trip.

A Taco Tale on the Road to Vegas I arrived in Baker on my way to Vegas. I was hungry, but Mom's home cooking was waiting for me in Vegas, and I didn't want to get too full, so I stopped at Los Dos Toritos for a small bite. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-kept and clean the dining area was. The counter where I placed my order was very orderly and nice, and the young lady who took my order was very welcoming and helpful. She took my order and later brought it to my table when it was ready. The carnitas was done just right, and the salsa was flavorful. I enjoyed my taco and wished I could have more, but Mom's cooking awaited me, so I hit the road with a mental note to stop by the next time I went through.

Service was fine. The food quality has declined. I ordered the same chicken bowl as last time. Chicken didn't have any flavor pop at all. I drenched in salsa from salsa bar. Seemed like (aside from guacamole) everything needed salt. Hubby had chile verde, which is always a safe bet, bc even when bad it's good. Well... we've never experienced meat that was cooked THEN added to the green sauce. It was definitely not slow cooked to succulent perfection, as all chile verde is. There were very, very tough pieces in there. I tried it and felt bad for him. We were hungry! Chips were still crisp and delicious. Tortillas are now rounds, which were good and chewy. Rice and beans were passable! Issue was with the meat flavors and textures. We probably won't be back. Enjoy- Anz

This place was really busy for a stop at baker. The girl at the register does everything! She takes orders, serves, and cleans. I had to wait a long time in line but that's OK. What I love about this place is the price! It's very reasonable! Cheap i should say. My asada quesadilla was only 10$, and for 3 bucks more, you get rice and beans. Awesome! My asada burrito was cheap also. I believe it was 12 or 14 bucks. I forget. It was huge though! They gave me a side of chips and guacamole. The guacamole dip was soooo good. The food was pretty good here. I'd definitely stop here over the mad Greek next door!

These tacos are amazing! If you're driving between SoCal and Vegas, this is a great spot for truck-stop tacos. While they do have an expensive menu, I recommend sticking to the tacos, as that's what they're best at. The items at the salad bar were also fresh. Additionally, you can bring your own alcohol (there's a liquor store next door)!

Stopped on the way home from Vegas! Super clean, service was fast, food was amazing! Not greasy or heavy feeling! Amazing little hole in the wall! 10/10

Needed somewhere to eat before everything closed in Bakersfield, CA. Saw this on the way. Stopped in and got some tacos. Inside has decent amount of seating. Evening time wasn't busy at all. Service was excellent. Tacos had awesome flavor. The salsa bar had many different options for mild to inferno, limes, and peppers. We plan on stopping back in on our way to Vegas. Don't miss out on an opportunity of trying this place.

For middle of nowhere, the quality of food at this restaurant is pretty good. The ingredients were very fresh. We were driving and on our way to Las Vegas. I got hungry, but I did not want to stop at a fast food joint. Found this place on yelp and it was very nice experience. The interior is pretty clean, plenty of parking. we ordered a ceviche and some street tacos to share. The prices are expensive, but still the most reasonable in the city of Baker. Our food came out pretty quickly, portion size was good. Everything tasted fresh with good flavors. I felt really good after eating here. Highly recommend the ceviche.

This little hole in the wall restaurant was awesome! Quick stop on our way to Vegas and we ordered several street tacos to eat in the car. The birria street taco was my fave! The girl who took our order was super friendly and helpful - answered all of our questions. This is now our new favorite stop in Baker. We might even stop again in a few days on our way home!

I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning from this place. It could have been the salsa or spicy carrots. I wasn't sure, so I checked previous reviews and sure enough, someone else was sick not long ago. It has great reviews, but not worth the health risk.

On our way back home we stopped by this place and wow the food was amazing. We had the ceviche mixto and shrimp burrito and both were delicious. Portions are generous and the food is fresh.

My husband and I left Las Vegas and didn't want to eat there so we found this place viaYelp. Had lots of good comments. I thought it was so so. I wanted breakfast so I got in omelette with bacon and cheese. The cheese wasn't melted, and it came with rice and beans, which I understand, but not what I really wanted for breakfast. Also tortillas Came with it. I did like the coffee and everyone was very friendly there.

Wow. Best food. Order the ceviche, street tacos, and don't miss the guacamole and chips. How did we miss this before today??? Clean, quality food and very kind people. Honored to be a customer and recommend you become a customer too. Our thanks to this wonderful eatery... que bueno!!!

Decided to try this as we were passing through. Drinks and salsas were good. But this place didn't live up to its hype. Food was not that good. It was one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've been too. We got a chicken bowl and carnitas with green salsa. The staff were super friendly. The bathrooms were not clean. It was night time when we went, and I get people are dirty, but it could have been maintained better.

"Clean, good mexican food in the middle of nowhere." That should be their tagline. We had the chorizo and egg burrito, the chile verde burrito wet and a birtia taco. They have a nice salsa bar with mild medium and hot, lots of pickled onions, radishes and cucumbers and carrots. The food is made to order so it takes a little longer. But it's worth the wait. Great little place that is it good alternative to the usual suspects in Baker California.

Food was amazing, family-owned and you should definitely not miss it if you're driving down I-15.

How do we love thee ... Let us count the ways?! If we pass through Baker we stop here even if we aren't hungry!! It's SO GREAT! We were thrilled they were thriving enough to have done a remodel. Bright, clean, new salsa bar, modern bathrooms. Wow! Very well done for a tiny Mexican restaurant. Most importantly, their homemade hot salsa is epic (we always buy the largest take home size possible) and remains a staple. Additionally, the entire menu remains intact and so delicious! If we know in advance there is a possibility that we will pass through Baker - I bring the cooler to bring takeout all the way home! That great! The staff are always friendly, helpful and sincere. Honestly, if you like Mexican or want to try it - this place will not disappoint!

We arrived prior to opening, I don't recommend doing that. The restaurant didn't end up opening until 9:15 and we were actually getting back in the car to drive away when the open light lit up. Glad we stuck around! The food is great! From our experience it is the only place in Baker worth eating at. We've eaten at the Greek place (won't name it but you know it) and it's gone down hill fast and is really expensive. We also went to BK and had to stop at the rest stop (I'll spare the reasons why). If you're hungry and anywhere near Baker and you love authentic Mexican food, this is your place. Don't take any pictures but I will on my next visit

I know this place has great stars - I thought it was mediocre and the fact that they would give my son (who technically born a feline) exactly what I wanted and not me - shrimp - is absolutely insane. The best thing on the menu was the pepino homemade drink. That's my byte!

I was passing through from a camping trip and saw that this place was open. I saw multiple open signs, online it says open at 9am (it was past 9am) and there was an employee walking around, but the front door was locked. The employee clearly saw me and just ignored me. If the service is any indication of the quality food, then I'm glad I didn't eat here.

Food was really good everything was made fresh to order and the price was not bad at all will definitely be going back and it is accessible to semi trucks

Nice place. Nice people. Air conditioning plus ceiling fan plus clean restroom. Tacos were excellent, burrito was satisfying (I should have ordered without cheese - my bad), and sugary cucumber agua was refreshing.

Get the Carne asada torta. Light, crispy, chewy roll. Delicious meat. Large portion of fries on the side. This spot gets busy, so the foods are fresh. The downside is that the kitchen can get backed up. We ordered one torta to split and accidentally were served someone elses order. Staff told us to keep it and brought our sandwich out quickly. We ended up with 3 entrees for about $12. Pepsi products served here.

I was so hungry while stopped for gas in Baker, and looked on Yelp. Los Dos Torino's popped up. So we tried it and was not disappointed! Chips & guacamole I had 2 Al pastor tacos and my daughter has the Carnitas and Carne asada. Food was good. Salsa bar was good and the bathroom was clean!! We will return on another trip!

We stopped by Baker to charge at the Tesla supercharger, and found this little gem! Located right next to the Mad Greek, this is an awesome spot for your Mexican food fix. I ordered three street tacos (chicken, carne asada, and carnitas), and my husband ordered a breakfast burrito. Everything came piping hot, fresh to order, and delicious. This is the only spot worth trying around here and you won't regret it!

I stopped in for a Breakfast Burrito while charging my EV nearby. Little did I know that it would be practically as big as my arm. Wow! Chorizo is the way to go! Great service. I took my to-go, but they have a good number of tables in case you want to eat in. I'll be back next time I have to charge up!

This is the place to stop for a meal while in Baker. It is spotlessly clean, a great menu and as a bonus - the food tastes incredible. Very fresh, flavorful and tasty. The salsa bar is another plus. My favorite part - a very well stocked tea selection. À gem of a restaurant in Baker.

We had an amazing experience at Los dos Toritos!! Food was well served,the staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience.

The staff was very friendly and efficient taking our order and the restaurant is clean and comfortable (even the restrooms are very tidy!). We ordered quesadillas and a breakfast burrito. My husband said the Herriot was the best one he'd ever had in his life.

Never passing Baker again. Authentic, delicious Mexican food. Chili verde and chorizo and eggs were amazing. My husband has not quit talking about the corn tortillas. Clean and great service. Prices super reasonable too. Total treat!
