The current review is about the hotel part, not the restaurant. ||The looks of the hotel are very ‘hippie’, consistent with the casual chic, slightly run down but beautiful, wannabe alternative expectations of instagram junkies with no sense or time for real quality. The hotel is all about looks, but not about content. I wonder how Conde Nast Traveler could fall for this…||Our room was BEAUTIFUL and looked very cozy. On second glance however you notice it’s too small to walk properly around the bed, has no proper lighting, no single chair, no place for a suitcase and a badly equipped bathroom. In practice you have to put your clothes on the floor, there is not enough light to look yourself in a mirror (try to put makeup on in these conditions) and the bed was just 10 cm above the floor (actually it consisted of a mattress on the ground). The mosquito net (very important in this mosquito infested place), designed as a beautiful baldachin, looked very posh, but made it impossible to reach your bed side table or lamp… As I said: all about the looks.||||This is all ok for a simple hostel, but not a 400€ per night hotel room.||What’s more, the air conditioning didn’t work and the lights in the bath were constantly flickering. Maintenance doesn’t seem high on the agenda either.||||Location and the view on the sea was GREAT, breakfast was ok-ish and staff a bit too relaxed (not to say slow).||||My conclusion: it’s a rip-off. Beautiful , but a rip-off.||||My advice: book the hotel on the other side of the street, with similar view, proper amenities, a decent sized room, swimming pool and a parking lot for 300€.
