An historical hotel that is over its peak. In the past many Hollywood celebrities stayed here but today the place is quite neglected and not gery welcoming. However, the views from the hotel are great

I just have to say, I went with my whole family and we had previously revered a specific amount of rooms. When we got there, there were not enough rooms and we actually had to wait for some rooms to become available and that was quite embarrassing. The only good thing was the view and the pool.

With links to the Hollywood stars of the 50’s this hotel still excludes the glamour of its prestigious past. ||Yes maybe in parts it’s showing its age but this stands as one of the most comfortable hotels i’ve stayed in. ||Everything you could want is here, history, comfort, the most beautiful pool and staff who are so friendly and helpful.||The views are fantastic from all over the hotel and the restaurant is a must visit. ||A step back in time and one that i hope to take again as soon as possible.

We came here as part of a tour, so didn't stay at the hotel. Had a yummy cocktail with a freshly opened coconut that was enough for two of us. The view was stunning and well shaded. I could see how it's a romantic spot.

Enjoyed our stay here. This is a unique hotel despite an air of faded glory. ||The staff are really laid back so don't expect very quick or overly attentive service.||The live music at the weekends in the restaurant was great and creates a nice vibe.||The restaurant needs a bit of a makeover and refresh to make the most of its location and potential. ||Days trippers can pay to use the hotel pool and this can be annoying as noisy families and groups bring their their own music and speakers ruining the peaceful vibe. ||This is a residential area. There are no restaurants nearby - it is a 20 min walk down to Playa Caletilla, The nearest shop to buy drinks etc.. is a 5-10 min walk. Its about a 45min walk to La Quebrada along the coast.

Love the bar. Best view of the sunset in the city! We had the Acapulco style ceviche and some beers. Great time. A step back into the history and golden era of Acapulco. At one time this was the hottest spot for Hollywood stars. A must see stop on a trip.

An amazing old hotel with a rich history and lovely staff. Decades of shoddy maintenance detract from what could be a “blast from the past”. We lost half a day waiting to change rooms because of problems. It’s a good walk to the cliff divers, restaurants etc. walk there, taxi back. Bonus: there are raccoons!

Very friendly staff, beautiful view and definitely worth a stop if you get the chance. This hotel is famous for being the living place of Tarzan. The staff were very nice and offered us a tour even though we were not staying there. Great experience overall!

Yelp
This is the restaurant that time forgot. You're on top of the hill, looking out on a breathtaking view of the ocean from high above, with ancient waiters who've worked there since they were teenagers. It's a living history lesson. It's wonderful, cheap. Ambience is everything here. They even have raccoons.
