Los Hermanos Restaurant

I’ve had many great experiences beforehand with this restaurant from the all their other locations for years. This includes the one on Union, Rosedale, and even the one that closed down located inside the Town and Country village shopping center. I usually order the habanero tacos which the tortilla of the taco has always come crunchy. Crunchy to the point that the tacos can stand their own on the plate. I received my order and the tacos were pretty soggy. I went ahead and let the waitress know that these tacos are usually more crunchier. She proceeded to take them back to the cook and an additional 10 minutes later she sent another worker to bring us out our food. To my surprise the tacos were the exact same. The waiter was trying to play more into the fantasy that the tacos had been put back on the grill and that the plate was hot. He came serving us one of the plates with a restaurant plate mitt and the other without disproving the point that the plates were not hot when we had been told otherwise. To my even bigger surprise AGAIN the plate was indeed not hot and the tacos were the exact same. I feel as those additional 10 minutes were waited in vain as my order did not change. The restaurant was obviously not busy so I am also unaware on why it took 10 minutes.

I've been told many things over the years and oh boy the food here is terrible. I ordered a Mex-Burrito and boy the burrito was dry, the internals were dry like th chicken it was a sloppy burrito. I couldn't finish it honestly despite I was hungry and away from my home at the time with my son. He enjoyed his food for lunch but me no I will never eat at this place again. Taco bell is better than this IMO I never had a problem with them and that's saying something. This place is last resort when it comes to Mexican food. The quality needs to improve i am sure I am not the only one that has said this about the quality of the food.

This place is horrible. Went in because I tried their birria tacos one time and it was perfect “ crunchy , flavorful , filling “ went in with my family My husband got nacho fries with carnitas meat. The fries were so depressing to look it . Just look at the picture. I don’t even have to explain it. The carnitas just look at it DRY , it’s like if they had an old piece there that they just decided to microwave. That dish was DEPRESSING. My birria tacos were mediocre, after waiting over 20+ for our food I can tell my tacos were sitting there because they were soggy . And my kids just regular taco plate with rice and beans that plate is dumb proof. I’m so disappointed considering I spent nearly $50 for disappointing food. Those nacho fries, I just can’t it’s embarrassing to even serve that plate. When I asked for more cheese because CLEARLY you can see it’s missing a whole lot of everything the lady even looked baffled I asked for more cheese…. ( mind you I only said no tomatoes or salsa ) 0/10 this is sad

Love this place, I’ve been coming here since I was younger & now we bring our kids when we are in town. The staff is so friendly. They remember you and make you feel welcomed. Food is flavorful & colorful. Very appetizing. Very clean and spacious. Service is fast & friendly. A must try if you’re in Bakersfield try the steak fajitas or the chicken taquito meal

Called ahead for lunch. It was ready on time. Food was packaged and hot. They give us an Enchilada instead of the Tamale we odered. Bag check in the car and no Tamale, so give us the missing Tamale and we were able to keep the Enchilada.

Enchiladas and crispy tacos are the best! I always enjoy a 2 item combo from here

Went through the drive thru. Husband ordered a chicken taco salad and a two item combo dinner wirh 1 ground beef enchilada and 1 cheese enchilada. The employee asked what type of meat and he said, 1 beef, 1 cheese. We pulled forward, then went home. The taco salad had ground beef on it and no chips in the salad and the salad was just a soggy greasy mess. The enchiladas were not what we ordered either. No cheese enchilada and the meat was what seemed to be pork. This is the second time in two months we have been here and our order was incorrect. This was the exact same issue we had several years ago with this place and is the reason why we stopped eating here. The salad was disgusting and went straight to the trash bin after a couple of bites. The combo was edible, not great, but a disappointment as it was not what my husband ordered. Take note: Work on listening to your customers when they order, repeat the order back to your customer. Repeat the order again when your customer gets to the window. Double check.your bags before you hand it off to the customer and make sure the order is correct. No more chances, we won't be going back.

The thing about Los Hermanos is you'll never be disappointed! The food is consistently authentic and delicious. I love their intense cheesy birra and fried crunchy tacos, and juicy and flavorful and bIG smothered burritos. The service is always amazing and top-notch . Sometimes it takes a while for the food to get out to you ...but it's worth the wait!

People are friendly, food is good, but the bathrooms were horrible! When the bathrooms look like this, I worry about the food.

Haven't been here in years and then it was for take out, so basically this was my first time eating here. It's spacious and has a good size patio area. We had a lot of friends with us who all ordered separately, I was shocked how quickly the food came out! I had the fajitas, they were the typical ones served on a sizzling skillet, but still good! The prices were also great!

Los Hermanos is my go-to spot for catering rice and beans! I love grilling up carne asada or carnitas for the main course, but that takes time, so I prefer letting Los Hermanos handle the sides. Their rice and beans are always a hit, and the Party Platter is perfect for game nights with a great mix of appetizers, all at very reasonable prices. Aside from catering, they also have a drive-thru that's perfect for quick burritos, tacos, tortas, and more. The menu is enormous, which is great, but I'll admit I sometimes get a little overwhelmed at the drive-thru. If you're like me and need a recommendation, go for the torta--it's one of the best in town, and I'm always stuffed after having it. Los Hermanos never disappoints, whether it's for catering or a quick bite. Love this place!

normally we love Los Hermanos but tonight was nasty! There was a large piece of plastic in the middle of the giant burrito! This could have been bad if my husband chocked on it!

The Thursday Night Special was Steak Picado, Rice, and Beans. At $9.95, the Picado plate was an amazing value. Here you order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. The salsa bar has a good selection of about average salsas. The pickled carrots and peppers, however, were a nice treat and side.

I don't usually leave reviews but this place was everything I was looking for. Customer service was great, the food was flavorful and you get a bang for your buck. Definitely coming back.

Usually they have a long line in the drive through. I was the only one in drive through before the rush. I ordered torta with fries and a drink. I took a bite of a fry and it was a bit salty. But Before I took a bite of the torta they cut in half so you can see the meat and bread.. it was mostly bread. Like they sprinkled the meat on barely any refried beans.. Disgusting. I was technically eating bread with chopped meat and beans sprinkled on. This is the second time they done my order wrong. LOYAL TACOS LA VILLA CUSTOMER FROM NOW ON..

Ordered Al pastor burrito got nothing but beans. now we gotta drive all the way over there to have it fixed. Waste of delivery money.

Placed an order for delivery today, and the delivery was really fast. Sat down to eat, the rice and beans were bland and cold. The cheese enchilada was cold and the cheese was not melts in the inside. The shredded taco was the best thing out of the whole order. I also got a side of chips and salsa. The salsa looked water down and tasted bland no flavor.

Very friendly and respectful staff. We've looked to Los Hermanos for decades, on the east side of town, and have been patronizing this Green Acres location since they opened. Delicious, Authentic Mexican food. Don't miss the Monday Taco Special or the everyday flan, with all the trimmings!

For a quick go to spot, this place has always been consistent for me when I order the beef tamales or the flautas beef. Drive thru is always quick and prices are good for the portions you get. Food is good though it seems they stopped seasoning their chips as of late but everything has been go for me. They always ask if you need extra salads or utensils and napkins which most places seem to forget these days.

I can't believe people see these reviews and still eat here. Food quality is horrible and order was messed up. Customer service rude and very unprofessional. This place will be closed soon and don't eat here because you will be sick !

I just got a burrito at Los Hermanos, and usually my family and I really like their food. However, this time, the burrito was drenched in some oil that smelled slightly fishy (not sure if it's specifically fish oil or what) and my husband had to take the contents out of the burrito and eat them on their own because the tortilla was completely soaked in oil, and when he did that, the oil was literally dripping off his hands because there was so much. We've never had that happen before and have ordered the specific menu item multiple times. The staff were friendly as always and I hate to leave a negative review but we couldn't get past the oil and the smell.

Amazing delicious food excellent customer service I highly recommended food is fresh and tasty it was my first time here they really deserve the 5 stars my fav Mexican food spot from now on.

This is the last time we go to Los Hermanos. We used to love coming here the food is good and I love the chips and salsa but the last few times we've come we received little to no rice! And rice is so cheap! For them to skimp on rice shows how bad restaurants have become. The last time we came I had to request they put more rice and even after asking did not receive enough. Stop skimping on something that's so cheap!! Extremely disappointed.

Los Hermanos on Rosedale is excellent! We love the staff as we inside. Food is consistently very good. We have had everything from steaks, tacos, burritos, tostadas, beans and rice. We love eating inside as they bring our food to us and clean up when we leave. The restaurant is very clean. Their salsas are excellent! They have specials every day! We highly recommend them!

Wow. I ordered 2 ground beef tacos with no crappy pepper in it. There is some pepper lining the taco. It's gross. They put it in it. Then I only got - ground beef taco and 1 shredded beef taco. Both with peppers in them. I spit them out. They would be great without them. I also ordered a street carne asada taco. Tasted like street. Spit it out and ordered something else for dinner. Thanks for wasting $20. Bye, Los Hermanos!

Ordered a platter to go from here. It was a deal of $40. Came with mini chimichangas, taquitos, tacos and quesadillas. The platter included: chips, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Serves about 8-10 ppl. I'll definitely order again!

Terrible service I see most employees doing nothing leaving a young girl to do all the work sometimes I over hear conversations while ordering between employees do your job right snd maybe this place wouldn't be so shitty

I'm disappointed that the Rosedale location has such poor customer service. On Mother's Day we ordered a couple of very specific items off of the menu posted online on their official website. When we picked up the food and brought it home, the order was wrong. When we called the restaurant to clarify we were told it was too bad for us and that they can't control the online menu. It's not the end of the world-I mean-it's a burrito... but we won't go back now. It was a huge bummer to be looking forward to a specific meal and to have the restaurant just really not care. The only vote we have is with our business.

I don't know if they got new cooks or what, but the flavor was on point tonight. The shredded beef tacos had much better flavor. The asada fries were so good! Like tell all your friends good.

When they closed down Los Hermanos on Coffee and Stockdale I was bummed because I visited that location frequently. Recently we were looking for something to eat and my husband remembered there was a Los Hermanos Restaurant on Rosedale. We came pretty close to closing time, but they were still able to take our order. Food was made pretty quickly. There's a drive thru so that is a plus for people who's in a rush. Staff was very friendly and sanitary. You can seem them thru the drive thru window w masks and gloves on preparing food. Prices did go up a little bit, but I understand with prices going up everywhere. My only complaint is that the place is a little bit of a drive out for me. This little restaurant is more like a fast food Mexican restaurant, but it's actually better than a lot of the other fast food ones in town. This last time we came I had the chicken enchiladas dinner and it was really good. I started to remember why I liked this place. I usually prefer green sauce on my enchiladas, but the red sauce enchiladas here are delicious and I do not mind them at all. My husband grabbed some tacos and they do not skimp on the meat.

We have not ate inside in a few years as I'm wheelchair bound, but do take out every week or so food is good.

The best thing about this location is their drive-thru. I like to order their menudo for pick up and my wife loves their cheese enchiladas.

We've been long-time Los Hermanos customers especially when they had the two locations in the SW part of town. Once those closed, we were finding it harder to get to the Rosedale location but an opprotunity presented itself last fall and deemed a long overdue review! My grandfather suddenly passed and I was in charge of planning his celebration of life. We booked The Station out in Rosedale for the venue but I needed to source catering and it needed to be close to the venue so I could pick it up on my way to set-up. With two days notice, I remembered this location and called to inquire about catering trays to go. They were more than helpful, walking me through what they offered and how many people each item served. On the day of the celebration, my husband and I stopped to pick up the food in between the graveside service and celebration of life. Not only was the food hot and ready for pick-up, the staff helped us load it all into the car making sure everything was secure for transport and made sure we had enough tortillas and salsas. Their help that day, on an already stressful day, meant a lot. We got so many compliments on the food and there was plenty. The portions were actually much more than we thought and we were able to eat off of it for a few days following the celebration of life too. The pricing very reasonable too!

I just experienced the slowest drive-through line I have ever endured. I'm not sure if it would've been faster inside, but I don't suggest you use the drive-through.

If I could give it a minus I would. We ordered the breakfast burrito, it was ALL beans with bacon mixed in a very little eggs, infact you could almost say none. Will not ever get again. I've never had a breakfast burrito with beans, always potatoes and cheese.

Came here on Cinco de Mayo and it was really busy but that didn't stop them from giving us the best customer service ever ! Hands down the best shredded beef tacos in town .

Ordered a chicken taco salad chicken was at least 23 days old dry hard salad as I've gotten taco salad have black beans. These fools had olives salad, dried chicken in. It looked horrible. I should've took a picture. Also ordered three street tacos. Chicken chicken was dry and old I will not return. I showed it to the owners, they just shrugged their shoulders and said oh well sorry, horrible food

Not authentic Mexican food. No manches! Iwill not return. More of a unauthentic fast food Mexican food joint. $4 for chips with free less than mediocre salsa. I would rather hit Taco Bell Weiiiii

Food does not disappoint every time we've gone or ordered from delivery. And their Fried Ice Cream is to die for as well!

Called them at exactly 8:30 pm. I went to ask about an item and the worker said the kitchen was closing because that location closes at 9 pm. I said that's ok, it's only 8:30 and all I wanted to possibly order was a simple bean and cheese burrito. The worker than said no, we couldn't order anything because they closed early due to needing to fumigate the kitchen. Now I don't have the best sense of smell but I know bs when I smell it. I wasn't coming in 5 minutes before closing; the worker was just being lazy

I come here every so often and usually have a decent experience, but not so much today. I ordered the Camarones Ala Diabla with a large iced tea and asked for the diabla sauce on the side. Shrimp was overcooked and had black char on them. Rice and beans were good. Iced tea tasted somewhat bitter. I'm not sure if it was just old or if it is the brand. What was the most frustrating was the fact that I was in the drive-thru for 40 minutes exactly before I received my food. There probably 5-6 cars ahead of me when I got there. The staff appeared nonchalant about it, did not offer any kind of check in while I was at the window, or an apology for that matter. The young guy, presumably a teenager gave me my food and pushed it toward me with a "here you go" and that was about it. Management needs to conduct customer service training. Food can have an off day now and then but interacting with customers and the speed of service needs to be constantly monitored and improved. Very disappointed.

Not impressed with this place one bit. The food looks and smells spectacular, but it's just a front. Everything is way over seasoned, but lacks any original flavor. I was also a little turned off by the lima beans and peas in the Spanish rice. They botched my husbands order and brought him the wrong burrito. Plus, my kid, the chicken strip queen, would not even take a second bite of her chicken strips. My "mexi bowl" was boring and flavorless. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the steak in the bowl, but it had so little of it that it wasnt even satisfying. Prices were low. They also have a drive through, so there's that.

We always enjoy cheese enchilada chili rellano taco rice and beans to go been great for years great price and tasty their assortment of salsa is bomb

During the Plandemic and unnecessary lockdowns, we decided to try this place for delivery, our food was PERFECT! And reasonably priced. We took a chance one night late that this would be open and we got a pick up order.. also PERFECT! Once the unnecessary lockdowns reopened, we stopped in. And the food was consistently perfect as before. We love it cuz they are friendly, it's always made quick and custom if you are picky like me. We havet been there since there's only patio seating cuz I hate being hot. But I'm sure we will as soon as wether gets better.

Love the tacos here, very friendly, the senioras in the back now how to cook Mexican food. Love the drive through when I'm a rush. Love the chicken.

Whoever wraps the burritos at this place doesn't realize that putting all the sour cream on one end is just passive aggressive. The burritos are also usually cold and my orders usually are wrong somehow. Come on guys it doesn't seem like you're even trying. It's also overpriced for the portion size. Everything there feels like they are skimping and the tortillas taste like they are days old

My son is super picky and he ate the crispy chicken taco and I didn't even have to fight with him to eat it, he ate it so fast I was super surprised. I also got crispy chicken tacos with rice and beans and it was delicious I love the flavor of the beans. I'm super picky with Mexican food and i would definitely recommend this place. The portions are good for the price as well.

Not the best Mexican food in town but a good takeout place. We always order their super burritos. They are huge! My wife gets shrimp no beans. I get the same but with chili verde with everything. Everything includes rice, beans, pico, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and tomatoes. The burritos are big enough for two to share or have a nice lunch for the next day. Service has always been good and quick. I started going there while in high school 25 years ago the decor has not changed much and neither has the food. If you are consistent enough to provide good food for that amount of time you must be doing something right.

A Green Acres Treasure Nestled between Verdugo and Calloway on Rosedale Highway, this locally owned, Mexican Restaurant is spotlessly clean, inside and out. We have been patronizing this place since they opened about 25 years ago. They also have a drive-thru, with an easy-to-read, yet extensive menu. A pivotal figure, Ramiro, and his outstanding staff, make sure that your order is correct and served piping hot. Here's a tip...call in your order in advance and you can pick it up inside, or just drive up to the window. They are extremely accommodating! The food is excellent! We used to patronize one of their former locations, near Highway 178 and Oswell, but they closed down. Fortunately, they have the same food, cooked from family recipes, with a touch of Zacatecas and other ares of Mexico in their Enchiladas, Burritos, and albondigas (meatball and vegetable) soup. Don't forget to leave room for their classic, flan, dessert!!!

Stopped by this place while I was out running errands to grab a quick bite. The menu is priced just right, and the place is very clean. The food however is bland, although the Carne Asada I ordered was very tender. The food looks delicious in the pictures and based on what I saw other people order I was excited to try this place. I ordered a hot salsa with chips and got a mild salsa instead. Both of the sauces were not very good at all and tasted like they had ketchup in it. I do not recommend this place if you're looking for good Mexican food with sabor y sazón!

Never disappointing I've been going here since I was a kid and the only location was on Gosford thanks Los Hermanos for another fantastic meal

I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I ordered via Uber eats: 1, our son's enchiladas were cold and we ate as soon as our driver dropped it off, which I paid for priority; 2, my wife's chips and salsa ordered came with only chips, no salsa; 3, in my order notes for my chicken bowl I requested no beans, came with beans; 4 and lastly, my bowl had a decent size of a piece of plastic in it to top it all off.

Great food, friendly employees, and good value for your money. Keep up the great work!
