"We would also eat ceviche at Los Panchos. They have the biggest portions. People would come off the street and sing to us and play the accordion."

Omg we had ceviche de Cameron and I couldn’t stop eating..then I had shrimp cocktail and that was bomb! I tasted my daughter taco de carne desebrada and I loved it! The tortillas were thin and it was great for my husband that is diabetic! I also sampled my hubbys food he had the filet de pancho which is fish filet with cream and baked potato! Well I couldn’t breath after cause I ate so much! It had a great view and we saw glimpses of some whales! And we walked to go see the blow hole and sampled some churro! We planning on going again but with more people! Woo hoo!!

Great food, great view. Good place to bring the family and you can see whales while you eat !

20180226_MON-SAMSUNG_2305|2311PT Whenever we come in LA BUFADORA, this is the place we always eat. Whenever we have visitors, this is the place we invite them. We even just come here to eat, and not go shopping or watch the BUFADORA action. The food are delicious and service is great...

This was a pretty disappointing experience. I have never left a poor review but I felt ripped off. We wanted to eat there because the view looked amazing, and we were willing to spend a little more to have what you think would be awesome food (you pay more you expect more right??)! Food: Came out cold. It was bland and the portions were small. I had enchiladas and tasted like then sauce was canned and the meat was preheated. All of us had different items and we all had poor experiences. Low quality food for a very high price. Service: They took a long time to take our order, give us our food, and take our check. We were overcharged on a soup that costed far more than advertised price. Still not sure what happened. Atmosphere: They had live music and a view of then water front. It was beautiful, but the lack of care of the staff and gross food made us feel like we were scammed. This is a tourist trap. Eat at Lidias Taco’s instead. We went there the next day and it was so much better, and a lot cheaper.

BUYER BEWARE - Don't be fooled by the beautiful entrance to the space or the nice view. We started with the worst Margarita I can remember. Then, not only this was the worst quality of food I remember eating in Mexico, moreover they overcharged us by about $300 (or probably charged us twice for the only main dish we tried - rancid stake ranchero). We realized after fact, when we did the math in our head... This is not something that has ever happened to us in Mexico before. The "live music" was low quality and loud, to the point it was better to be in the outside terrace, as was the service (they were kind, but they seemed as "happy" as the ambience of the place. AVOID

I ate here on September 22, 2019 with my Girlfriend, her son and my son. The weather was perfect, the view is beautiful. This restaurant has a prime location with an excellent view. It is unfortunate that the food and service is not better. They are happy to charge you high tourist prices. This place has a lot of potential, but with tour bus after tour bus of people flooding the area and little options, I guess there is no need for them to improve.

Check your BILL before paying! Add the totals of your food items and calculate the tax yourself. They added the food items wrong and wanted to charge us tax based on that higher amount. We did our own math, and the total food price plus the 8% tax amount that they charge was significantly lower than what they wanted us to pay. It was a $47 dollar difference! Yikes. We felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on us. They didn't even apologize for charging us incorrectly. Furthermore, if you can pay in pesos, do so. They take the dollar at a conversion of 18 (which is much lower than everywhere else). In addition, we had to wait more than 5 minutes so that they could connect the wifi and get a strong enough connection to charge our debit card. We dont mind paying accordingly, but the food was sub par. No real flavor in the meals we ordered. The view is great and there is free parking. However, we chose this place because the gentleman outside said there was live music and unfortunately there was no live music at all. As others have mentioned, restrooms are definitely not looked after.

I did not have a good experience here. When I got my food it was not hot. They did not bother to ask us if we wanted more chipa or salsa. Then they charged us some fee we had no idea about. To top it off the prices were super pricey. We paid $42 dollars for enchiladas and breaded filet my wife said was not that great. The one star is for the view.

Yelp
Awesome location, with extraordinary views make this place special whenever dining in. Menu items are typical of this place, in terms of seafood, but in a nice place with either patio or indoor seating. Excellent service and portions! I had fish soup and shrimp/octopus cocktail and was extremely satisfied. Well woodruff the drive; will return again.

Yelp
First time here, visiting La Buffadora. Party of 5, we sat at the Terrace. The Ocean view was Beautiful! Service was Excellent, the waiter was very attentive. We ordered agua fresca Jamaica "hibiscus water", right on flavor, not too sweet. Chips and salsa kept coming, very Delicious! The Fish tostada was fresh and Delicious. The order of tacos Gobernador were perfect, lots of shrimp and melted cheese. The shrimp al ajillo with octopus was full of flavor, minced garlic, butter and the kick of chile de arbol. The cocktail "Coctel"campechana was very well portioned with shrimp, octopus and topped with a fresh oyster on a shell. The entrees all came along with white rice, chopped jalapeno, refried beans and a crispy salad. They have a big variety of alcoholic drinks ie: Pina colada, Michelada "Cubana", any beer , it has a splash of Worcestershire sauce, salt, lemon juice, salsa maggi! Definitely would recommend this Restaurant , very Authentic Mexican Seafood! Reviewing from a true Mexican point of view! They also have very clean Bathrooms well stocked with hand soap, toilet paper. They only accept cash.

Yelp
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the view was spectacular. Food good, not great, and priced right. Much need rest stop before we walked down to the blow hole

Yelp
I will say the view is nice, the food average. It's a bit expensive. We ordered Aguas frescas: horchata and jamaica...not tasty at all. We asked for tortillas and they brought 2 corn and two flour, we liked the flour better. The salad dressing was good and my fish average, it was deep fried but very dry.

Yelp
Walked in during our visit to the buffadora and it was amazing. We are always sketchy about eating in big restaurants in tourist sites because I feel the prices are always higher and the quality of the food doesn't match it. This place was the opposite. The prices were right around what you will pay in any nice sit down restaurant anywhere in Ensenada. We were a party or 10 and we're sat down right away, chips and dip and drinks were served immediately. The waitress was nice not pushy and very patient with our big party. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was amazing. I ordered asada tacos for my girls and they were just the right size and generous with the meat. The beans on the dish were apparently delicious I didn't try them myself but the whole table was raving about the flavor, not sure how good refried beans can be but I'll take their word for it. Ambience was perfect for this tourist site, you're over the water live music playing, the artist sounded just like Joan Sebastian so not too loud or overwhelming. Oh and the bathrooms were clean.

Yelp
Don't know where to begin but this restaurant has room for improvement especially with that view overlooking the water. I think they have so much potential. I've been to this restaurant 3 times already within the past 4 years, meaning this is my go to whenever my family and I come to La Bufadora. Every time we come here their service is slow and their not even busy. This past Saturday 10/10 was a different they had a lot of people sitting in the terrace. So service was slow the food was meh. The "entertainment" was also meh. The womens bathroom located on the lower level is dark and dingy plus the soap dispensers were empty and no paper towels there either. For crying out loud we are in a pandemic where are their cleaning supplies? I am sorry but when I used to work at a restaurant my manager used to tell me that the cleanliness of the bathroom speaks volumes about how clean their kitchen is too. So she used to send me or any one of the hostesses to check the bathrooms every 15 minutes but mainly for touch ups. Meaning we didn't do the "dirty work". So yeah something to think about. The only thing worth coming here for really are the micheladas and mariscos with a view.

Yelp
The view is spectacular. the Margarita's are good but the food is s*#t. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. We had 3 margaritas, the seafood combination ( inedible) and the beef enchiladas. The enchiladas needed a knife to cut them. all of this for $71.40 US dollars. Absolute crap. Save your money and avoid this place., unless you are looking for a margarita with a view.

Yelp
Mediocre food, horrible service, and expensive for MX. The food quality was not great. I ordered aguachiles and I must've gotten 8 shrimp. the tacos gobernador were good but the beans and rice almost inedible. Service was TERRIBLE, the waiter was very rude and condescending. We kept asking him what kind of fish was offered and he could never answer; just kept saying local fish. ummm ok. what's the local fish?... My mom ordered a michelada and she said it was very bland. Nothing special. The restaurant was empty so this should've been a sign. We asked for napkins and chips for the complimentary ceviche which never came.We kept having to call another server to help us because ours was MIA. I wish we would've gotten a different server maybe our experience would've been slightly better. My sisters and I felt really bad because we brought my mom here for Mother's Day only to be greatly disappointed. Side Note: If paying here with USD; please check the exchange rate carefully. They tried to give me a 15 conversion when the current rate is over 18. Had we paid in US dollars; they would've made an additional $45USD in overages.

Yelp
Well the view is amazing but that's about it. The service is appalling and the food is horrible. Some bizarre sweet brown sauce on the shrimp fajitas. And, despite the tortillas for the fajitas arrived 30 minutes late. The place was empty midday on a Saturday for a reason.

Yelp
Overpriced horrible, dry food. Stick with drinks and chips if you stop here. Guy outside promises all kinds of free drinks and such but it doesn't happen. Ensenada has such good restaurants but this isn't one of them

Yelp
Super yummy restaurant with a beautiful view to the bufadora beach. Good prices and super yummy fish tacos. My hubby got a shrimp cocktail that was also very good and I ordered a mojara as well. Great service with yummy taste

Yelp
So last time I was here with a bunch of friends from the ranch ( a couple of years ago), it was stinky and the food and drinks were very pricey. I swore I would never come back, we'll Manny is working here now, I had to come and visit him. Pro's and Con's with this place. The Pros: Great view, Not Stinky, lots of fresh air, Manny the Bartender from the closed bar up the road. The Cons: Walking the Gauntlet to get here through all of the vendors, NO ACTUAL BAR, Very pricey!!! Tourist prices!!! (They should have locals pricing), I bet a bunch more of my friends and neighbors from the ranch would come this way if the prices went so high and there was a real bar to sit at !!! Restaurants in the area should be taking advantage of the time while Los Gordos is gone, they will be back. Oh btw I do like this place now, I will be back, just hopefully they fix the prices for Locals.

Yelp
The only reason why I came in here was because it was the only place opened. The food was okay! I got a pescado frito which was about $225 peso the customer service was excellent but the prices were too damn expensive. It has a beautiful view but I felt so ripped off coming to eat here.

Yelp
Horrible service, way overpriced and horrible food... To top it all off, they screwed us on the dollar exchange... Never go to this place

Yelp
I have been coming to La Bufadora for 30 years. Yes I understand this is a tourist spot. But I had a few friends down to are home here so we decided to have a few drinks here. Well I have never been ripped off so bad. 3 tequila shots, 2 beers, and 1 margarita. $48.50. Lesson learned always ask the price before you order. Don't go here!!

Michelle F.

Yelp
Never again. Food was incomplete and extremely cold. LOS ANGELES has better food for the money's worth. When I told the waiter that 2 plates of my 5 were cold, he said he couldn't change them. Wow. Never again. Worst food. Worst service.

Agustin M.

Yelp
The food was absolute garbage, the chips and salsa they give are good but that's it, I got carne asada burrito and it wasn't even a burrito just two tortillas wrapped around dry tasteless chewy meat, I asked to return it and get the chicken and that was horrible too

F A.

Yelp
They are out of Tecate, water, coke...only Lite beer...you get 1 small chip dish and the food is taken 45 minute while the place is a quarter full...it that. Hope the food make sit and is good.
