Los Pinos - Cabañas & Reserva

We booked a family cabin for two nights and were pleased with the choice. The grounds are beautiful and have easy trails for hiking. My husband spotted a toucan in the morning! It’s an easy walk to restaurants and shops and the staff highlighted several local attractions for us on a map. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin the first day and they immediately came to open it for us. Although we didn’t really use it, the kitchen was well stocked and it and the bathrooms were very clean. We slept with the windows open (in July) and were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

We only stayed here one night but could have easily stayed here a week! Our room, or cabana rather, was very beautiful and private. We were all able to have our own room, bathroom, and shared a large kitchen/sitting area. For all the amenities that were available it was definitely reasonably priced! Sitting outside and having coffee in the hammock was the perfect start to our day. The property itself was also beautiful and they had well maintained trails in the back. There was a lot of wildlife — all you had to do was step out the front door!

We stayed 2 nights here and enjoyed being in our own cabin and the nature around. We saw some interesting birds right from the deck and enjoyed relaxing in the hammock. Has a convenient kitchen and a lot of room for our family of 5. Convenient location close to all the activities.

We stayed at Los Pinos for a portion of our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away by this hotel. We booked through anywhere.com and I guess we didn't look at the website's photos because we had no clue we were getting our own huge cabin in the middle of the forest. The room was spotless and stunning, we saw monkeys, coatis, armadillos, and agoutis from our porch, the staff was very kind and helpful, and it was within walking distance from many restaurants and stores. They provide firewood for your cabin and there are trails to explore and a beautiful lookout. We would highly recommend this hotel for your time in Monteverde!!!!!!

We stayed in a room with a 3 separate bedrooms, a kitchen and a hot tub. Each room had his bathroom. There is a small forest and resort for guests with some trails where you can see different animals. The downside is that you don't have any type of breakfast lunch or dinner. And the nearby restaurants are not that great.

Incredible experience and stay. The property is beautiful and the rooms were exactly what we needed for our girls trip! we had coffee every morning overlooking beautiful landscape. We made a delicious salad using herbs and lettuce that we picked from the hydroponic garden on the property. Stunning trails throughout the grounds as well!

This is a well run environmentally aware place to stay with beautiful lodges in the rain forest, trails around the area and close to Monteverde village. The staff are really friendly a much welcome and efficient laundry service offered.|The reception were able to book our guided trips up to the hanging bridges which enabled us to see wildlife we wouldn't otherwise have seen . The guides are extremely knowledgeable about the origins of the cloud forest, the ecosystems that differ between primary and secondary rainforest and explained how climate change will affect the cloud forest in the next few years

Los Pinos was my favorite place we stayed in Costa Rica. The staff are wonderful! They really made us feel so welcome, and they were extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful with setting up excursions. ||The property is beautiful, and the cabins are tucked away in the woods so it is very serene, private, and quiet. Cabins are very clean and well kept. ||We loved the location and walkability around Monteverde. There are several restaurants just down the street, as well as a bank, bakery, and market. There are nice sidewalks throughout town, and it has a very safe, walkable feel. ||Big thanks to Marlene and Ana for making our trip so special. We love Los Pinos!
