At Los Sifones, you have to get the molcajete. It is a boiling cauldron of meat, cheese, cactus, salsa, onions, avocado, and other items that you wrap in tortillas. It's a nice experience in more of a traditional setting. The wait staff are all very friendly and on top of things. We also got the pastorcate, which are al pastor tacos mixed with avocado. The restaurant is unique in that the tortillas are all square shaped. Regardless of the shape, the food was all delicious here. We also got the natilla for dessert, which is a custard with blackberry jam. It was very refreshing and not too sweet. Definitely one of our more memorable meals in CDMX.

God never seen square tacos before. Food was good enough but rather blah in terms of the flavor department.

Google
The most amazing molcajete caliente de arrachera ever! It is 100% worth the trek out here. We loved it so much we ordered another of the exact same. Thanks Mark Wiens for the recommendation!

Real local favorite ! A kind of place where a Mexican family would go to every week for years in a row. Really good dishes and great quality of food, served in a nice authentic way. The service was nice too. Sizes of desserts I found too large

Really quick service here. It wasn't a long wait for anything. You're immediately greeted by several staff members. They're very friendly and welcoming. The Al pastor tacos were delicious

Great food, I would highly recommend the Molcahete..... big enough to share. The pastor tacos were also very good and served on a unique square hand made tortilla.

Yelp
So i am about to eat this monstrosity of goodness. First they get a molcajete that has been heated over the fire grill for hrs, then they layer the bottom with a single slice of nopal (cactus) they then add the meat that you choose ( I got steak), they then add either the red or green salsa( i got both) into it, add some whole small onions, acouple of small blocks of mexican cheese, a big helping of avocado, and out to the table it goes. And you get some square corn tortillas. My mouth is burning...

Yelp
Been here twice and both times I have enjoyed my visit. Food is very delicious but not out of this world amazing. What this location provides is space to accommodate large parties. I will continue to visit when in Mexico.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service. Our waiter, Urbano, was fabulous. He was great about suggesting vegetarian options and accommodating dietary restrictions. He was very attentive and brought us beans and tortilla chips without us having to ask. I had the ensalada nopales and guacamole. It was all great. They also have WiFi and nice bathrooms.

Yelp
This place is a very clean and yummy establishment. I have never seen a place sell square tortillas! Very good tacos, fajitas, and service.

Yelp
Upon coming back from a concert at UNAM, this was one of the best places to stop absolutely. The dishes I ordered all had cheese and the cheese was thick, well cooked, and absolutely delicious. You get the feel of a small corner tienda street but inside, and the view is wide open of the traffic back and forth but the really funny thing we noticed- inside are screens that show, slow motion scenes from the countryside, rolling hills, cattle but funny - you seem like you have seen that scene before but not quite. The service is great, the cost is minimal, and the taste is exquisite be in enchiladas, tacos, or any variation of Mexican dish, the is a festive, yet relaxing site to take care of your appetite and then some!

Yelp
Great service, the tacos are served in a square hand made tortilla which makes it special and makes a statement that this is not your average taqueria. I personally love the dishes that include avocado, the mushroom soup and the horchata, for beginners I would avoid anything with choriza since it's a little bit "greasy" but tastes so good.

Yelp
My husband and I began going there, when we were going together, some forty-three years ago, when it was just a little hole in the wall taquería. It only had one table, at that time, and everyone sat together. Now, it has blossomed into a beautiful, colonial-style restaurant, with brightly colored tablecloths on the tables, cloth napkins, and the wonderful food continues. It is the only place I have eaten square tortillas, made on site, and a delicious combination of avocado mixed in with the meat in the tacos. It is quite creative and very tasty. They also have meat platters, a large variety of all kinds of tacos and tasty soups. A wonderful place to eat, family atmosphere, good service, efficient waiters. Great place!

Yelp
These are my favorite tacos in Mexico City. Recently they have increased the prices, but to be honest the tacos are worth it, they are served on squared hand-made tortillas and taste really good. The green salsa goes great with tacos al pastor and alambre. The place feels more like a regular restaurant than a taqueria. Maybe the only bad thing about this place is that the manager seems to be always angry or really stressed.
