Really tasty and wholesome tacos for Taco Tuesday! I had one each of the Chicken, Pastor, and the Carnitas tacos. They were very filling with lots of quality protein and made exactly how I like with onions & tons of cilantro. The sauces were surprisingly spicy hot and tasty. I preferred the red sauce which was not as sour as the green. Quite busy at lunch on a Tuesday. Warmly decorated. I will definitely need to come back to try more of the menu!

We ordered takeout, and overall the food was good. The pollo burritos were flavorful, and the pastor taco meal was tasty. The enchilada combo was just okay—nothing special. The only real disappointment was the carne asada; the meat quality wasn’t great and didn’t match the rest of the meal.

Google
First off, if you actually like hot sauce, this is your place! Their hot sauces actually have heat! We each had asada, carnitas, barbacoa, and pollo tacos. All of them were juicy and well flavored. Our only complaint would be the beans and rice. The rice was okay but not flavorful. The beans were a bit gray looking and didn't have the authentic texture or flavor to them. Otherwise, this was a good stop to eat!

Google
Tacos are good. Not life changing but good. Chips were fine, nothing special but they didn’t need to be. Guacamole was pretty flavorless and baby food style. Beans were great. Margaritas are ok but nothing special They rang up the order wrong and it’s counter serve so below average for service. I wanted to like this more due to the ddd connection but it fell short of expectations

Google
This spot has some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had — super fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. Definitely a place I could see myself coming back to regularly. Only thing that threw me off was the girl at the front handling pick-up orders and the register. She came off a little rude, which kinda took away from the vibe. If they could tighten up the customer service at the front, this would easily be my new go-to taco spot without question. Food’s a 10/10 though!

Google
Best price and closest to good refried beans compared to other Mexican spots! It’s so hard for me to find beans that taste like my grandmas. Thank you guys for always staying delicious and keeping good prices!

Google
Food is SO GOOD!! Quite a value too! Service is quick & efficient. Atmosphere is better than other restraunts patrons order & pick up food from the counter but could still be improved somehow. Furniture is a little more solid and spacious than the competition. I wish they had recycling at least for bottles!

Google
I’ve been going here for years absolute fantastic food atmosphere and front staff

Yelp
Overall we had a good experience! Food was delicious, the girl taking our order was helpful, and the place was nice and clean, lots of salsa options too.

Yelp
Your fire sauce is literally the best thing about your restaurant, and margaritas.

Yelp
After eyeing this place for awhile and wondering what it was about, I went in and tried the pollo bowl and the side of rice and beans. It was fantastic. This place has friendly service and wonderful murals. They have a tv set to the news. When I walked in, they were playing Shakira on the muzak, okay in my book. Very reasonable prices. Tables are nice and clean. They have a drink menu, which includes a very enticing pomegranate margarita.

Yelp
I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and it was pretty awful. The majority of the bacon was so overcooked that it was hard and actually inedible. The tortilla tasted burnt too, like maybe it was warmed on top of the grill after the bacon was burnt? Truly one of the worst breakfast burritos I've ever had and I won't be returning.

Yelp
Whenever we are in the area, this is a must! We love this place! Hands down the best street tacos we've ever had. The beans are heaven! We love the carne asada and shrimp tacos. Today we tried the carnitas tostada and the bean burritos and they were both super yummy. If you love tacos, and haven't been... what are you even waiting for?
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is authentic!! Red chili was definitely homemade. Red , spicy and delicious. The beans also homemade on tostada .This restaurant is not fancy but who needs all that for a fast food Mexican restaurant. The counter person was pleasant and helpful. This restaurant in this shopping center was very convenient next to grocery store so we eat then going shopping. This neighborhood is blessed to have this restaurant.!

Yelp
Stopped in on Taco Tuesday for $2 street tacos and had el pastor, chicken and carnitas. All come in a double tortilla, cilantro and onions. Meats were tender. The red salsa has a nice little kick and the green salsa wasn't bad either. Wide variety of beverages from side, beer and margaritas to choose from. Place was clean as well. Not bad for $2 a taco on Tuesday but too small to pay extra on other days of the week in my opinion. Will eat here again on a Tuesday when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Their online ordering system doesn't work. They take a very long time to make the food. Their meat is extremely salty.

T M.

Yelp
The young woman taking the orders almost every time I go in Los Toquitos Ahwatukee is very short with me and has a poor attitude. Today, she did not enter one of my preferences (I believe on purpose) and the order was wrong. I will not be going back. There are other places I can go that strive to get the orders correct and treat their customers well.

Yelp
Service is very rude, the cashier is rude she looks mad all the time we start coming to this location because Chandler was closed and probably because service was rude too. Owner has to put some attention on this situation. Bad costumer service Food order took 30 minutes to be ready and the chile relleno was uncooked ( very hard to cut and the flavor was weird because the chile wasn't grilled enough before preparing)

Yelp
Went here around 11:30 on a Thursday. It was busy, but my order was quickly taken and received. It was nice, clean, and colorful with cool murals on the walls. I got a 3 carne asada taco plate (beans and rice) and a chicken taco to go. The cashier offered me pickled carrots and limes which I accepted. I grabbed my own salsa cups to go. They are on the front counter for you to pour yourself which I appreciated. Everything was yummy. Only con I noted was that while the chicken in the chicken tacos had nice flavor, it was overcooked and a little dry. Everything else was yummy, hot, and well made. Those pickled carrots stole the show! They were fresh made, spicy, and still had a crunch. They were not the canned ones at all! The beans, rice, and carne asada had great flavor. The tortillas were warm. I appreciated the tacos because wrapped in foil to stay warm and not get covered in rice and beans. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Wonderful carnitas street tacos. Try them with lime and the green sauce. Also some Of the best beans and rice I've ever had. Plenty of seating. Great parking This place tends to run a little cold so bring your sweater.

Yelp
So a buddy suggested this place, it's clean and the atmosphere is Hispanic heritage. We ordered, I had the pastor tacos with rice and beans, my buddy has the pastor burrito. We had two drinks. Total was less than $20, not bad. The area of improvement the amount of time it took to get our food was excessive about 20 minutes. They were out of 50% of the soda but luckily I had tea. The food was good, not the best Pastor I've had in PHX but was good. I'd eat here again.
google avatar

Marissa C.

Yelp
Service was horrible!! No sense of urgency even when they are slow. I waited for a side of bread for 20 mins. A lot of side conversations between the staff but no sense of urgency for the customers. I also felt when i went to the counter I was the inconvenience. Food was good!
google avatar

Bren T.

Yelp
Been coming here for over 10 years, food is so delicious! The wait gets long after 11:30 am,so plan accordingly!

Kim L.

Yelp
Best mexican food in AZ- honestly so freaking good can't really explain it. Pozole is heavenly, meat is perfectly seasoned and juicy, salsa is deathly but in a good way. We drive all the way from queen creek to eat it because nothing else compares. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
The food here used to be great, a real local gem. Unfortunately it's just not anymore. The customer service is bad. The last three times I've ordered delivery I've added a request that if no salsa is available to cancel the order. The last 3 times all the burritos and tacos arrive with no salsa at all. I called the restaurant last time and spoke with staff who said "well we were really busy". I drove to the restaurant to get the salsa and was 1out of 3 people in the restaurant. The young women working in there (Ishmay?) are just chatting behind the counter. They were out of red sauce and I asked for one and I was just stared at. It was almost like they were trying to have the worst service possible. Los Favoritos has no trouble getting things right ‍ Los Taquitos just isn't the same in Ahwatukee anymore

Yelp
By far my favorite taco spot on the east side! Always fresh and flavorful! My order is always right and the MARGARITAS are strong and efficient! Love Los! Wish you guys stayed open longer for my late night taco cravings!

Austin W.

Yelp
Stay open till the time you say(: not that hard, I could run a business and keep my hours up to date online. Scammers.

Yelp
We were shopping nearby at Arizona Mills and were looking for a late night dinner. We chose Los Taquitos not knowing it had been featured on Diners, drive ins, and dives! Service is casual/fast food like: order at the counter, get a little number, and seat yourself. Pick up your order and salsas when your number is called. It was towards the end of the night but our orders were ready within 10 minutes! I did the 3 taco combo (fish, pastor, and carne) for $11.45. The fish was grilled. It tasted fresh and not fishy at all! Off to a good start. The carne asada was also solid. Lastly, the pastor. I have high standards for pastor and it lived up to them! Not quite as good as my taco man's but a valiant effort!! The rice and beans were decent; nothing to write home about. The spoon tho; the spoon was a soup spoon and oddly too deep to scoop any rice/beans with. Definitely know my dinner stop when I'm shopping at Arizona Mills!

Yelp
Love Los Taquitos. I moved to Ahwatukee and used to visit their 16th Street location. Great Tacos, Burritos, and Margaitas.
google avatar

Leticia A.

Yelp
Now, this is GREAT food! I can say I finally found the spot with great taste in ALL their food! And let's not forget their margaritas! It's definitely a must-have! Must come back! And the service was great as well. Girls were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fast food but the good was 5 star!

Paula H.

Yelp
The service is rude. The order is not correct after a long wait and if you say anything it's YOUR fault because they are busy.
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
Disgusting chicken tacos. Chicken - fatty pieces of neat with connecting tissue. Can't chew it, can't eat it. Sauce- if your going to put really hot sauce on a taco, let the customer know. Overly hot sauce which I didn't request. Lady taking order - rude and inconsiderate. It was your water cup, you gave me that had a hole in it, so you can clean ip the mess yourself. Ladies making tacos - it looks like a tiny prison back there for the legal or illegal taco makers as they give the tacos out through a prison cell type of opening. Broken tables, no napkins on tables. Just a dump.
google avatar

Jesse L.

Yelp
Los Taquitos' food is always amazing, hot sauce is the best in town. Tacos or burritos, you can't go wrong.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, this place was good. Stopped by for lunch today and tried there tacos! My wife and I ordered the three taco plate with beans and rice. I had two chicken and one steak. The steak was so flavorful and tender. It was a really good cut of beef and the seasoning was fantastic. The chicken was pretty good too. Topped with onion, cilantro and their salsa. It was an excellent meal. My wife had chicken and Carnitas. She really liked the Carnitas as the pork was perfectly flavored, tender and moist. I would highly recommend this taco shop anytime you're in the area and feeling a little hungry.

Yelp
This place is elite. So good. I hadn't been in years but my boyfriend and I ended up around the corner so we stopped. Let me tell you, quality has not changed a bit. Think of a mozzarella stick surrounded with quality breakfast burrito ingredients tucked into the most perfect tortilla you've ever had. This is the best burrito either of us have ever had. Go now

Rose Y.

Yelp
They took our orders with a smile although for my Nana's and I first time it wasn't spectacular. You sit yourself down. My nana ordered red chicken enchiladas, the rice was bland and a lil hard in the middle and mushy on the outside, the beans were salty but not bad honestly. The chicken was so dry I'm surprised my nana didn't choke. A lot of elders eat here too, kinda scary. I ordered cheese enchiladas with green sauce, the cheese is low grade. It doesn't melt and it wasn't gooey or anything. They must be on a cheese budget because there's was barely any cheese too. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. We noticed the demographic isn't native to the food they serve so it may not be as authentic as represented. It was cheap, a good little plate for 10 bucks but it really wasn't all that.

Yelp
Exceptional Mexican food, proving authentic recipes that deliver on flavor. Fair prices. Even offer margaritas balanced and packed with flavor. Go enjoy, and repeat often.

Yelp
When I visit my friends in Phoenix, we always go to Los Taquitos for Pozole! It is the best, and we also enjoy other items in their menu. Can't miss restaurant!!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Lauren was awesome and the food was amazing!! My son and I both got three different tacos and a chicken enchilada with both red and green sauce. All of it was really good. We would definitely eat here again!! The prices were also incredibly reasonable!!!

Terri W.

Yelp
I went on Taco Tuesday for some great tacos. They were very open to customizing my own toppings. The cashier was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We went there because the place was highlighted on Triple D from the Food network. It did not disappoint. The ambiance is no frills. But the food was very good and reasonably priced.
google avatar

B K.

Yelp
Excellent food and ambiance. Prices are fair and the service is great. I enjoyed my meal and will return the next time I am in Phoenix

Christine P.

Yelp
Great place to get authentic Mexican food. Margaritas are good to! When lived by the restaurant we were there once a week.
google avatar

Ava G.

Yelp
GREAT PRICES! Looking a the menu, the prices were better than a lot of competitors, and the food was even better! I got the super nachos and added carnitas to it. It comes with guacamole and sour cream on the side! I was surprised to find beans on my nachos underneath the pile of toppings. I very much enjoyed these!!! That carnitas were delicious. The pico de Gallo was flavorful. I tried a bite of the chicken tacos my friend ordered, and those were good too! This place was pretty consistently busy up until closing time. I would much rather return here than go to many of the other fast food Mexican chains in the valley, this is definitely in my top 3 chains now. My only complaint is they have a set up where you pour your own sauces into little cups, it would be more sanitary and speed up the process if they had these already pre portioned into cups. Either way, Guy Fieri was right in coming here and this place is pretty bomb!
google avatar

Leraya W.

Yelp
This place is amazing as the food is always on point! The customer service is outstanding as I always look forward to seeing Yvette and Ismay
google avatar

C F.

Yelp
The food is bordering on bad. All three tacos were marginal at best. The carnitas was dry and not very flavorful and the pastor was saucy instead of marinated. This place is a pass, no it's not terrible but it's definitely not good by any stretch. How did it ever get featured in Diners Drive-ins and Dives?

Amy C.

Yelp
Some of the best fast casual Mexican food in Phoenix! They can get busy at times, but it's worth the wait!
google avatar

Darron N.

Yelp
Very good Mexican food, I enjoyed 3 enchiladas with green and red sauce and each was wonderful. Fresh guacamole and salsa with chips along with savory beans and good rice was very tasty. One thing I enjoyed was that the salsas were nicely spiced!

Katie F.

Yelp
I have been coming to this location for about two years specifically because of the warm environment and service. Last few weeks I have been coming in I am seeing new faces and experiencing a different atmosphere. First, I don't see Ismay or Yvette who every time I am there are very kind, welcoming, and even go as far as I would say building their report with the customers by asking about our day and hearing out any concerns about the food. Any time I have had any concerns the both of them have been respectful and willing to hear out me out for a better customer experience. I want to preference that I also speak Russian, English and now picking up Spanish so I like to come in specifically to work on my Spanish skills as well.. The last few times I have been in the familiar atmosphere is no longer present. I am greeted with "what's your order" or "I don't speak Spanish" which both are unsettling responses. I also have seen the quality of my food be completely different from my lunch order to my dinner order. The staff during the day is unmotivated, rude, and unwelcoming in which the night shift is a different experience. The food is better the service is better and I would recommend you go there ... just after 5
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
I tried the fish tacos today based on the reviews. I do not know what kind of fish it is, but it's very fishy which tells me it isn't fresh. The corn tortillas are quite soggy as well. I'm not impressed with this dish.
google avatar

Bill W.

Yelp
First time here in years, I missed this amazing place. Arizona burrito for life! 20 years ago this place was a tiny hole in the wall that few knew about. Now it's bustling every time I come in here. Expect a ten minute wait for your food, but it's always worth the wait. Squeeze limes on your food and the red sauce is the best sauce.
google avatar

Caroline Y.

Yelp
We got takeout from this location and it was delicious! We ordered fish tacos, shrimp tacos, horchata, and chips and guacamole. The shrimp and fish tacos were delicious! The guacamole was smooth and flavorful. The chips were light and airy and crispy! I wish I lived in Phoenix so I could come here all the time!
google avatar

Shawn W.

Yelp
Amazing spot to come for Taco Tuesday! They only have a few tacos that are on special including carnitas and chicken but they're still so flavorful! There's also a lot of other options including shrimp (so good) on the regular menu! You order you food beforehand and they'll call your name when your order is ready. Even when they're busy the food still comes out pretty quickly! The drinks are strong!! You can definitely taste the tequila in the margaritas so 2 no more than 3 should have you feeling pretty good! The sauce for the tacos are amazing! If you like spicy, green sauce is your way to go.
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
Fun and colorful murals decorate the wall of this Mexican food taco shop. Instead of free chips and salsa, spicy-hot carrot slivers served in plastic baggies are brought to the table. My daughter and I had ceviche tostadas. They were good, but she had a stomach ache the rest of the day. Margaritas were good... worth a second try.
google avatar

Mimi M.

Yelp
I order the exact same burrito each time i come but the price is always different. Sometimes i am charged $9 and sometimes $11. A $2 difference is a pretty big gap. Every time i ask why the difference and i get a different response! If yall are using the same system to take orders why is there a $2 difference each time?
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
I love their food but the service is not good most of the time, a lot of the girls make you wait 30 minutes for a bowl of soup that should be made already while there is nobody in the place or orders. We always have to make sure to call in advance to not experience the wait. Their customer service is not on point. As far as food we love to go get the sopole soup or the burritos, good flavor, and you can enjoy it with a michelads

Yelp
Excellent , original Mexican food . Great variety with options on heat level. First went there on Guy Fiero's recommendation

Yelp
Los Taquitos 4747 E Elliot Rd Ste 17 Phoenix, AZ 85044 July 3, 2021 Sunday - 5:45 PM for dinner 2 Adults Atmosphere - 3 starts Food- 5 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Out and about, I was told to find a restaurant to eat at for dinner.  I pulled up my Yelp app's Collection for Triple D (Diners, Drive In and Dives) restaurants in Phoenix area.  This was the closest restaurant to us. Atmosphere - The murals painted on the walls should have earned this place five starts from me.  The problem was that they were under staffed the dining area was taking a beating for it.  It is get in line order your food and wait for your number, eat, bus your spot.  Some people were not following their methodology and it was horrible.  In the COVID area you really need a person dedicated to clean up.  This ties into Service section also. Food Drinks - $4 for Tecate, great deal, and my wife's drink was a steal with happy hour price for the house margarita, salted on the rocks.  I stole a sip, so good. Dinner - $5.25 for a green chile pork burrito, $2 adds beans and rice.  The rice I could have gone without.  The refried beans were simply some of the best I have ever had.  The burrito was good size, longer than my fork.  There was very little filler food in the burrito which allowed that pork to shine through.  They had two salsas at the bar counter with little cups you could fill, a red and a green.  The green salsa had a great kick and paired nicely with my pork burrito.  We also ordered the chips  and guac as a side, solid, and the chips were not overly salted. Service - This a fast food restaurant and the lady behind the counter was pleasant.  You could feel her vibe of being overwhelmed.  I felt bad for her.  The line was steady too, as people came in waves.  The only other person up front was working the small bar.  She was a little more pleasant but frazzled too.  I thought they were both handling it well based on the circumstances. Future - Yes I would like to try their their tacos, probably on a Tuesday as they have some specials.
