Terrible place - filthy dirty and partly derelict- should be closed down|The terrace advertised has broken stone and wood and a broken toilet - they also use it for the laundry so you cannot sit there|The rooms were very dirty- years of neglect not just a little dirty|The bed linen was stained with blood and other stuff|The mattress was ripped and dirty|The bed head was really dirty|The bathroom doesn’t have sinks or a mirror so you can’t brush your teeth or shave |There are some random shared sitting areas downstairs but they are surrounded with junk, building supplies, laundry and broken kids toys|The water dispenser was very dirty and unhygienic. We didn’t feel safe even pouring water. |The photos they use must be very old |The Wi-Fi is not working at all|The walks are wood so not very secure noise insulation and it’s noisy. We looked in other rooms and they were all the same |The restaurant has closed down |We had to argue to get toilet paper and towels, they say they supply toiletries but only give a small hand soap. |The street door is left open at night so not very secure. |The location is okay but it’s so bad inside you really should find better

The rooms were moldy and dirty but acceptable for one or two nights. Water sometimes randomly stopped and only cold. Good location though and helpful employees.

DO NOT EXCHANGE MONEY HERE!!! Beside the fact that the exchange rate is very very low, they took the money and went with it to another room, saying one of the banknotes is very old. I didn't like they took the money and disappeared with it, so yelled at the to bring the money back immediately. Indeed one of the banknotes was different, my mistake I didn't check that when I give them the money. I didn't trust them, better not trust them either. Unfortunately is the only exchange place in Berastagi.

Five start budget hotel in Berastagi. On the main street, close to everything. Room is very clean and staff are very helpful. Perfect for the backpacker or traveller !

The staff got our order wrong because they have a different menu for foreign people with different dishes named the same, so we ended up having only one small thing at first. Waited half an hour for the rest to come until we made clear what we wanted to order exactly. Then waited another hour just to find out that they had completely forgot about us. Better eat on the street in front of the cafe, it's way better and much faster (which is not very hard to be fair).

We stayed for 2 nights in a room without hot water with private toilet (100 000 IDR). Quiet place, nice beds and friendly staff. Bathroom a bit primitive. Nice places to eat around the guest house. The guest house helped us to book a guide up the gunung sibayak (450 000 IDR). Very nice guide but not super proffesional. No need of guide unless you want to go for sunrise or down the jungle path (very steep and slippery, wouldn’t recommend unless strong legs).

This place is AWFUL! Do not come here. If you do, only for drinks. I was VERY disappointed with the slow, unfriendly service. The servers speak very little English and had zero patience for us while we used google translate to communicate. We ordered mushroom dimsum and they served us mixed miscellaneous seafood dimsum with “small pieces of mushroom” and refused to recognize that it’s not vegetarian and that the waiter lied about it being just mushroom. The manager was so rude to us about this. It turns out that our server got orders wrong for almost every single table but refused to accept his mistake. If you’re really hungry, don’t bother coming here because I promise you will wait 20 minutes to be served one dish at a time. They bring out all the dishes you order separately. My partner finished their entire meal before they served me anything more than coconut rice (which is literally just steamed rice with shredded coconut on top...) Also- so NOT order tacos unless you want a deep friend calzone covered in oil and served with ketchup. All the staff have to do is google “taco” to discover that what they serve is no where near a taco. It was such a waste of money. Very salty, very oily and basically inedible. The only thing that was manageable was the vegetable friend rice with an egg that had a very bland flavor and balanced out how salty and unpleasant the rest of the food was.

We ate here twice and both were amazing. Local style pizza, a bit doughy crust but mayo mixed tomato sauce in our super supreme pizza was amazing. Best with some Bintangs.
