"Around the corner from gravitypope, Lost & Found is a menswear shop dreamed up by two friends that leans into quality and longevity—think Engineered Garments, Andersen‑Andersen, Battenwear, and solid footwear—where the casual but intentional vibe and steady music might have you leave rethinking your whole closet." - Coolstuff Team

Google
Come here for a private event. Even though the place was packed to the brim the bartenders did their very best and made everyone’s drinks quickly. I had the spritz which was very tasty and well made. I loved the license plate decor which was certainly a nice touch to give that dive bar feel for a great little establishment. I will certainly return.

Jordan M.

Google
Nice, friendly bar with a good atmosphere. Prices are better than the rest of the neighborhood and they have $5 happy hour specials.

Robert J.

Google
Underwhelming bar...even though the drink list looks pretty good. Loud bar, somewhat divey. I was definitely served the wrong beer, although didn’t have time to question it because the bartenders are very inattentive. Had high hopes for this one because it looked cool from the outside, but they fell short. (Not going for lower than 3 stars because if you like the divey, loud scene, you may have a different opinion.)

Google
Great drinks and an electric vibe. There are a number of bars in the Convention Center area worth checking out. Lost and Found is certainly one of them!

Brent K.

Google
Bartender and manager are absolutely horrible They are not friendly. I told the manager her Bartender wasn't good and I was asked to leave. The Bartender didn't ask me what was the issue. There are plenty of places to drink. DONT DRINK HERE. GO HERE SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Shawn R.

Google
Decent bar- good crowd. But the QR code phenomenon has swept DC. When asked for a paper menu all I got was a rude bartender who continually pointed at the QR code stickers all over the place. Again, I don’t trust your bar’s cyber security. You’re asking me to click a link from a QR code that I have no idea what/where it takes me. Just hand me a menu and let me spend my money the normal- old fashion way. Quit selling my information/ recording my phone data when I click on your link. Let me patronize your business without scanning a QR code to visit your website.

Leonard

Google
Cool bar with underground pub feel. The patrons are a bit preppy and quirky. The bartender we had was short and not friendly. He was huffing and puffing when we asked to try a beer. Like...

Maria M

Google
This bar is located in a basement so it is kind of musty, dim, dated decor. Too blah.

Yelp
Lost & Found was the first stop in my new family's annual tradition of Drinksgiving. For my old self, fortunately this was the second-to-last stop. Anyhow, this is a very chill place. Gives off NYC bar vibes with the dim lighting. Definitely a good selection of cocktails and drinks as a whole. Decent number of long tables to sit together with a group of people.
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
Great little find close to the tourist area, but far enough away for the locals. This is just a simple bar with great music and a fun atmosphere. The bartenders are very attentive to you and make sure you're not going dry. Our bartender was Chris for the night. They offer a large menu of beers on tap, can and bottle and a large cocktail menu. The bartenders can serve up almost any drink you can think up. What we liked is that this felt like a place the locals went to and rather than a tourist spot. It was very simple, yet clean.
google avatar

Peggy L.

Yelp
Cool spot with additional room in the back. Filled with some cool vintage decors. Awesome and friendly bartenders. Definitely enjoyed their old fashioned as it was strong like it should be! I approved! Seems like people actually like their mixed drinks or beer.
google avatar

Celina G.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for hot spiked drinks. I kept coming back for the Hot Spiked Apple Cider and it has to be the rum they put in it that makes it so good! The Hot Toddy is also a great option too. I would drink this in the summer if they kept it on the menu that long. Lost and Found has a front (hot drinks only up there) and alley bar (movie nights!), both having long counter seating and tables on the side. If you have to, there's standing room but it will get crowded on busy nights. It's a great place to catch a big sports game, too. There are big televisions on both ends. No matter what side you are on, you can get some good service from the bar.
google avatar

Yelp
Searched for a late Sunday after hours spot, arrived here maybe like 8/9pm. Sunday is all day Happy Hour. 2 drinks came to a total of $11 This place is more of an upscale dive bar. they do not have food tho- but you can bring food in Chill spot Across the street from the Convention Center Metro
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
Dope spot with great Happy hour from 4-6pm. Also all day happy hour on Sunday. They have a front and alley way bar. Both are huge with a good amount of seats and a dim lighting through out the place. They have e some great hot toddy's and spiked ciders to warm you up from the cold. I was able to knock down a variety of beers and watch different games on all the TVs they have. Definitely a spot to come n chill back..
google avatar

Shari D.

Yelp
Great location, great prices and BYOF. They have an extensive range of drinks with dive bar vibes and a range of music. The service is speedy and they have QR codes throughout the bar. Second time here and planning on a third!
google avatar

Naria W.

Yelp
Fun spot! Came on a Saturday night for drinks with friends around 8pm. Not so crowded that's there's no space but crowded enough there were no seats. Pretty spacious including a back bar area plus some outdoor space. Great beer selection and nice cocktails too. Had a lemon mezcal spritz that was super yummy!! This place gets LOUD! There's just no where for the noise to escape with all the concrete. Otherwise nice casual spot for a drink, just be ready to stand.
google avatar

Kimberly D.

Yelp
Extremely rude door staff even though they were slow on a Sunday afternoon with few patrons. We felt so unwelcome we decided to leave instead of giving them our business.
google avatar

Antoninette B.

Yelp
Killer bar in the downtown/Mt. Vernon area. It gives dive bar but you can also get classic cocktails made fantastically. They have a great beer selection with a lot of location breweries. It's a busy place on the weekends (or if there's an event going on next door) but they have huge tables so I love going there with a group. Service is so nice; they're fast and nice to chat with on a slower night. They're also open late (2:00am) and you can bring in outside food! Love it here.
google avatar

Samantha T.

Yelp
Lost & Found is a very spacious and chill bar with craft beer, craft cocktails and an extensive whiskey list. They have snacks like chips, popcorn and jerky but you are allowed to bring in outside food. All orders are taken at the bar and the service is pretty fast. They also have HH M-F from 4-6 pm and all day Sunday.
google avatar

Karla D.

Yelp
Fabulous cocktails without the DC prices! Drinks average about $11 for a craft cocktail. Mixologist takes care with prep and execution of drinks. Kitschy decor. Customers are as friendly and welcoming as the staff.
google avatar

Candace T.

Yelp
Looking for a bar that's just a bar? Here's your place. The drinks are good. The staff is friendly. However, I like appetizers when I visit a bar. You can bring in food from someplace else but Lost and Found is all about drinking booze lol BYOF - Food The restroom was clean. I would recommend and revisit.

Yelp
Drinks: Their cocktail menu has something for everyone and even included hot drinks! I got the hot cocktail that's basically apple cider with whiskey. My friend also got the gin cocktail with lemon, which was so refreshing. The spiked hot chocolate was also decent, but not really that special. You could def make something similar at home with some Swiss miss and peppermint schnapps haha. Lost & Found allows you to bring in food from other restaurants, because their food selection is very limited! Service: This was an interesting/negative experience. I noticed that there were only two tables with POC and both of our tables were placed right next to the garbage, despite there being other tables open. I requested a table further from the garbage, but was told that those had to be saved for bigger groups. Keep in mind, I was a group of 2 and the "bigger" tables had 3 chairs. Also, bigger groups never came... Further, I had to request water three times. Each time, the waiter said he'd bring it out. And then he'd come out and go to a bunch of other tables to take their orders or bring out drinks. It took about 15-20 minutes to finally get waters. The waiter did apologize for forgetting the waters, but as a former waitress, I don't understand how someone just forgets to bring out waters. Especially when they've been asked multiple times. It's like serving 101. I can't help but wonder if the poor service experience was due to me being Asian. Other Yelpers have mentioned that the Asians in their group have also been discriminated against.

Yelp
One of my favorite bars in DC. I have been coming to Lost & Found for years. I love that their menu is consistently changing but I can always find something that I like to drink. The ambiance is good and they are always playing good music. Service is quick and friendly.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Cute outdoor space available during covid. Limited seating. Drinks are strong prices are on the lower end. Service is quick and fast. Taste is okay. A little funky.
google avatar

Tiara D.

Yelp
The service here was impeccable! There was only one waitress for the entire back section and she was attentive to each & every table. I was actually amazed at how well she was able to handle herself on a busy Friday night. The drinks were pretty good. I wish they were garnished better but I was there for the drinks & not the garnishing so I was pleased. The snacks were grossly overpriced $4 for a box of Swedish fish that are usually $1 in Target as well as the chips. I passed on those options. They accepted us as a walk in, cranked up the heat & had tables 6 ft apart outdoors in the alley.
google avatar

Katrina S.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed this bar and was happy to see how they adjusted for COVID. They have seating outside into Blagden Alley and onto the street (9th Street). The table were distanced far beyond 6 feet and they did a great job maintaining distance!
google avatar

Semra E.

Yelp
This spot is a dependable place with a great team that's quick on their feet to get your order. There's nothing fancy or different about this place. It's truly your low key hole in the wall drinking spot that really makes sure that everyone and anyone feels welcome. It's really close to the Convention Center, so that tends to bring in more tourists than anything else, but it's still a great spot to start or end your bar hopping night.
google avatar

Mimi C.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a drink while waiting for our dinner reservation a few doors down. The bouncer sitting at the bar had his eyes glued to the TV but nonetheless performed his job. He asked for our IDs immediately. The only time his eyes peeled away from the TV was looking at the ID, not even your face. Then, we proceeded inside to the back of the bar where the ceiling was decorated with license plates. This place seems like a no frill but chill, you do your own thang and don't bother nobody and we cool type of setting. If you're not expecting a five star service, this would be your spot.

Yelp
Vibes here are immaculate. I credit this place with a few things: very considerate staff who don't judge their guests, amazing energy without feeling claustrophobic or loud, and a welcoming environment for the shot and beer crowd or a reasonable drink order (maybe not where I'll get an elaborate cocktail but I'm comfortable asking for a Negroni)
google avatar

Sara D.

Yelp
A friend showed me this place while I was visiting him in the Shaw area. He goes to this place regularly and recommended this place. I really liked the vibe here. Dark inside and exposed brick is the way to my heart, so they won me over pretty quick with their interior. They had nice wooden tables too, which I love. They also have an outside area where we sat before it rained, and the worker out there even offered us bug spray! How considerate! I only ordered one of the ciders and the froses because it was hot outside and it was sooooo good! It was a special flavor for Pride month so I don't think they have it anymore. I don't remember what it was called but it was refreshing! The bartender was helpful and nice, too. I told my friend I definitely want to stop back here again. Lots of beers that you can order, so I want to come back and try more of them!
google avatar

Bailey R.

Yelp
I love everything about this place from the relaxed vibe as well as awesome service and good drink options. I love the way they operate and I've actually held 2 parties there for my staff over the years. Definitely my "go to" for my nights out and not to mention the owners are AMAZING! Wish there were more places like this in the city!!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour with my colleagues and for the most part its A-ok. Great dive bar in the Mt. Vernon Square area of DC. Happy Hour ends at 7 and you cannot purchase food here, however you can bring in food. There are some area restaurants near by where you can order if you forget or need something quick while sipping. I ordered the Crafty Mule. The first drink was strong, but my 2nd one not so much. I would consider coming back here again if I am able to get there earlier than what I did. From my observation, the regulars frequent here and it showed in their demeanor especially among the men.
google avatar

Yelp
Lost and Found is the type of bar every neighborhood needs. Being DC it skews toward high end whiskies, but in a chill, laid back ambiance. Manhattans are highly recommended and are made well. Pretty solid list of beers on tap too. Sometimes inundated with millennials, but this is DC, remember?
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Fun bar, came in with a large group for NYE. Reasonably priced drinks and lots of space for groups to hang out. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Allison N.

Yelp
Solid standby bar out in Shaw. I like coming here after going to one of the nearby restaurants and it's also a fun followup spot after going to Maxwell Park. Service has always been really friendly for me. There are live bands here occasionally. It's not my favorite bar in DC by any means or a bar I'd go out of my way to go to but it's a decent option if you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a challenging review to write. The cocktails were delicious, but a bit overpriced, and my friends and I had a nice time between 7 and 10 PM, inside, with the garage door wall open for maximum air circulation. It was nearly as good as being outside--we felt very safe hanging by the half in, half out table, breathing fresh air. At 10 PM, though, they closed the open wall on a beautiful summer night to a chorus of boos. The space went from Covid safe to most definitely NOT in 30 seconds. We asked why the door was being closed and the reason given was noise regulations; there are apartments next door. I don't know what to do with this. It's not the bars fault that these regulations exist, but this seems awfully tone deaf and ignorant of reality. We are in the middle of a pandemic and delta surge that is as infectious as the measles and you are trapping people inside for a technicality. This was a deal breaker for us, so we left.

Yelp
I've had a thing lately when traveling: Find a locals place. This establishment fits the bill nicely. I came here after dinner one night and sat down at the bar to sample the beers on tap. Bartender was OK, not super helpful when it came to my inquiry for what's local and good. But he was good with service and checking in on how I was doing. The dude next to me was friendly. We chatted it up about work and the DC area. The band they had was pretty darn good. It was two guys and they had more of a jazz sound. They did a really good jazz rendition of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". You wouldn't think 80's pop would be good jazzified...but these guys nailed it. This spot is a little bit off the path, but not far from the convention center. It's not a busy area and it was easy to find a spot to sit. I was also flattered that they checked my ID. Hey, less than 6 months from 40...made me feel good. Excellent selection of beers on tap as well. Overall, I liked the vibe.

Ryan R.

Yelp
This is my go-to local bar in the neighborhood. You walk into a low light divey and laid-back atmosphere with friendly staff and drinks that are reasonably priced. Mixed drinks are good too! This is one of my favorite places to meet a few friends for happy hour in DC.
google avatar

Yelp
When I first walked by Lost and Found, I thought it was a record store. A record store that closes during the day and only opens at night. The reason why I thought this was a record store was because the windows have a cool display with LPs dangling everywhere. I kept walking by during the day and thinking what sort of record store is not open during daylight hours? What is this covert shady operation business? You realize that after you press your face against the glass (I would make the world's most obvious detective) there is actually a bar back there. A HUGE cool bar. We actually returned to this cool bar one night, and found a wide roomy bar (actually a really well designed space) with a neighborhood dive feel. The decor can be described as yard sale explosion. Record covers, old photos, and license plates on the wall. A couple of seats from RFK in the corner. We sat down at one bar (the bar is actually two bars, the main bar at the front, 9th Street, and a second bar at the Blagden Alley end, which was closed for a private event) and the bartender passed on a beer and drink menu. The beer menu is really respectable, basically over a dozen (17 total) draft beers. Ranging from Sierra Nevada to Bells to EPIC to 3 stars, there was a geographic diversity in the beer selection and one cider on draft. I like how the beer menu had a description of the style and enough stouts and porters available to keep me happy. But since, it was snowing and I was having a mildly annoying night so I went straight to the WHISKEY!The drink menu boasts 30 ryes and bourbons and six classic drinks. I started off with the Blagden alley fizz with Bulliet Bourbon, simple syrup, lemon juice, st. germains and sour ($10) and ended the night with a French 75 (gin, lemon juice, champagne and simple syrup). It's actually pretty amazing that I had two drinks that night. The first one was a heavy hitter and quite strong. I wouldn't say they were tastiest, well blended cocktails I have had (something about sour mix that turns me off), but they got the job done. I had a perfectly lovely night chatting with a friend, having the attentive bartender check in on us once, while watching retro TV (some weird show from like the 50s/60s about a Nazis? ). This is truly a neighborhood bar, I wouldn't mind coming back for happy hour (until 7pm) for $2 off drafts. FYI- as far as food goes currently, other than snacks, utz,cheez-its etc. nothing else is offered. Rumor has it they are planning to cater (from the Carving Room) sandwiches and dips in the future!

John M.

Yelp
Delicious nitro Negroni is only $9 during happy hour. Really smooth and well balanced. Nice bar!
google avatar

Terrell R.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool bar near the convention center in DC. It has two areas a front bar and an alley bar, the front bar is where I decided to sit. I ended up checking this place out because for whatever reason Google was convinced that it's a Green Bay Packers bar and since their playoff game was happening that day I figured I'd check it out. Google appeared to be incorrect as I saw absolutely no packers fans but myself lol. As for the important stuff when I say bar I mean the true definition of one, the menu has a huge variety of craft beers, cocktails, wines, and whiskeys but is devoid of any real food so come ready to drink. They do offer snacks like beef jerky, trail mix, and chips ranging from $3-$8. Prices were decent I had a couple of vodka drinks for about $18 total, the bar service was great the bartenders were friendly and responsive, the drinks were strong, and overall it's a decent spot. It seemed pretty lively on a Saturday night, solid for catching a game or just out having a night cap. I'd be interested in checking it out during happy hour.

Erin N.

Yelp
Bartenders suck.I was told I couldn't have a game put in bc it was "first come first serve" yet I'd been then for 3 hours.
google avatar

Tessie E.

Yelp
Dive bar. Definitely check for your ID and vaccine card, so don't forget to bring it. Seemed like mostly college kids there. They don't carry the beers I like but they pretty much have the liquor you desire. Had an old fashioned and it was nice and stiff. I feel like you have to be in the right mind set for this place. It wouldn't be my first pick. Wasn't bad though.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
I stopped in for a drink after dinner nearby. Great space, not too fancy, approachable and a cool place to hang out with friends. The bar was relatively busy on a Thursday evening, but we found space at the front bar easily. The bar staff were attentive and friendly, as were others we talked to at the bar. The cocktail menu is small, while they have more bars on tap (available in flight size and full pours) and wine.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday afternoon for Happy Hour ($2 off drafts). The beer selection was very good and they are constantly changing what they have on tap. The atmosphere is more of a dive bar, but without the option of Bud or Miller. Very relaxing space. The bartender was quick and helpful in picking out beers - he definitely knew what he was talking about. Purely preference, but I felt like the bar area was a little dark, so if your looking to see sunlight, I'd pick somewhere else.
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
Was bringing friends to visit from out of town and the bouncer AND manager asked only our Asian friend to leave. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
I am normally a fan of Lost & Found and have even hosted my birthday here in years past. This last weekend I witnessed a very rude staff member checking IDs. Apparently, there was a baby shower taking place in the back room and a gentleman arrived with his children for it. The guy checking IDs wouldn't let him in and told him he couldn't even go to the room to let what I assume was his wife know that he couldn't join. The reason he wasn't let in was his children, but there were tons of children in the back room and he was there for that event. Additionally, I then went to give him my ID and he aggressively stated that no children were allowed... I was there alone and over 21 so no idea why he felt like he needed to let me know. Overall, I normally enjoy the bar, but the security or door staff could be improved.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
Stellar happy hour deals! Only lasts till 7 but the reasonably priced drinks and laid back atmosphere are worth it. I was surprised to find wines on the menu. The bartenders are very friendly and helpful with selection. I learned that although they do not technically serve food, bar snacks (beef jerky and chips) are available for purchase. You can also have food delivered OR pop over to All-Purpose (what we did).
google avatar

Kali C.

Yelp
Above-average average bar. What to expect: Come with reasonable expectations and prepare to have them exceeded. Bartenders are grumpier than they appear but pour decent drinks. What to wear: casual, but also wedding attire if you got the invite. What to order: 8 oz pour of the thiccest beer. You're welcome. *Enter via west door for full experience*
google avatar

S G.

Yelp
I found this place thanks to a recommendation given to me by a local at another bar down the alley. They had two frozen drinks on tap, 8 oz for $10. The Paloma contained grapefruit and was a cure for a 90-degree day. A random Saturday afternoon Anime convention herded in to give the tiny space an Alice through the Bar Glass feel.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Lost and Found is by far one of the best bars in Charlotte. The atmosphere is full of energy. The dj is amazing every night and the staff is friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. If you are visiting charlotte or reside in the area it's definitely worth checking out.
google avatar

Cristela S.

Yelp
I use to love this place -- until now -- the bartender on Wednesday, June 20th on 11:24 pm told people of color that our money wasn't welcomed here. That she wasn't going to serve us. I should be infuriated with but i rather call her out. Not sure what her name is but she was inappropriate from the beginning. I love whiskey but I didn't appreciate being disrespected . Zero Stars!!!!! I don't appreciate the judgment or the racism.
google avatar

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Lost & Found doesn't feel like a swank D.C. bar...it's just a pub, with good beer, and an attractive barkeep. My mate from Leeds and I both find ourselves in DC for a season or two, and among the very first comforts to quickly sort out, a good pub is surely one. He suggested Lost & Found. Upon approach, I was skeptical; as there was a que of hipsters spilling onto the sidewalk. Fortunately, these lines were for adjacent establishments. I walked into a much more unassuming bar with records on the walls (i f*^$#ng love records), and a beer list of mostly local not-overly-crafty beers. Get in. It was reasonably priced, there was room to move, and the place wasn't filled with wankers. 3 for 3. Cheers.
google avatar

Owen T.

Yelp
The overall vibe of this bar is really great--except for their unnecessarily aggressive door staff. On two separate occasions, I've witnessed them yell at patrons who've merely inquired about when last call was. Most recently, on a crowded Friday night, a friend I was with saw an open high top chair sitting against the wall alone and retrieved it to bring to our table. Apparently it belonged to the bouncer, who was out front talking to a friend (we came in through the back/blagden alley entrance). When the bouncer came in to see his missing chair, he yelled at my friend with an intensity that brought everyone's conversations in the vicinity to a halt. She was really shaken up and returned the chair as the bouncer proceeded to chuckle with his friend over the scene he had created. I asked him why he responded that way and he just ignored me. Other patrons who witnessed it came over to see if she was okay. I can't emphasize enough how dramatic of a scene it was that he created. Pretty upsetting and utterly unnecessary sequence of events that will ruin the night over an honest mistake.

Yelp
As the name suggests, this bar is a nice hideaway on 9th street. It is dimly lit with a large bar and plenty of high top tables. They also have a back room if the front of the bar gets crowded. Lost and Found has a solid beer and whiskey selection, service was quick and friendly, and prices were reasonable. Its good for a laid back evening and a few cocktails as your night cap or to start the night.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Really cool spot. The beer list is varied and ever-changing, which I love. My most recent vist I had an obsidian stout and clown shoes pecan pie stout. They offer two different vibes: the front has tables, a bar with stools, and is covered in knick knacks, especially license plates. The back has a second bar with a more chill vibe, looks like it opens up in warm weather to get a patio type feel. Not bad. Bonus points because they offer $2 for a giant bag of swedish fish and plenty of other old favorites, e.g. hostess treats. Tasted like nostalgia.

Yelp
One of the better undiscovered bars in DC. They have good music playing with a nice decorative wall of vinyl records when you walk in. The bar serves up good local and regional beers along with some dignified mixed drinks, specifically the old fashioned. This place is good for meeting up with a friend or for a relaxing date. DC needs more bars like this. Don't tell anyone!
