Lost in Baja

If it’s your first time visiting the Valle or your tenth, I cannot recommend Mauricio and the Lost in Baja team enough. From helping plan our entire itinerary to providing seamless transportation and being our inside track to everything in the Valle, Mauricio was absolutely fantastic. He picked us up right at our home in San Diego and got us quickly on our way. We made a stop in Ensenada before heading into the heart of the Valle to explore some of the best wineries and restaurants the region has to offer. Throughout the trip, Mauricio was the perfect blend of guide, travel companion, and local expert. He has insights that only someone truly connected to the area would know. One of the things that impressed me most was how easily he adapted when we wanted to switch plans or try something off the beaten path. His Suburban was spotless and extremely comfortable, his English is excellent, and he has wonderful stories to share. I sat up front with him for most of the drive and genuinely enjoyed our conversations. If you’re lucky, he’ll even tell you about his family’s winery, an incredible project they’re developing—and you may get a behind-the-scenes look. I can’t recommend Mauricio highly enough. It’s absolutely worth paying a little extra to have the best. He transforms a trip to the Valle into something effortless, elevated, and unforgettable.

Incredible experience with Lost in Baja. Mauricio was a dream. A native to the Valle Guadalupe region, he was knowledgeable, flexible and patient as we worked out all the details for our large group’s stay in Valle de Guadalupe. Meals, experiences, hotels, yoga, wine tastings, everything worked out perfectly and we could not have done it without him. If I could give ten stars I would.

I worked with Mauricio at Lost in Baja to plan a trip to Valle de Guadalupe for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday, and it was truly incredible from start to finish. We live in Los Angeles and drove down to the San Ysidro border, where Eduardo picked us up. Mauricio made sure we were fully prepared ahead of time, walking us through everything we needed to know about crossing into Mexico and returning north—it made the whole process seamless and stress-free. We were a group of nine, and Mauricio went above and beyond to help with every detail. From restaurant recommendations and reservations to connecting me directly with the owner of the villa we stayed in, everything was handled with such care and professionalism. Our friends were so impressed with how smooth and well-organized the entire trip was. Eduardo was our driver for the entire weekend, and he was wonderful! He kept us on schedule and was so much fun to be around. He helped us secure a last-minute wine tasting at Bruma and was happy to stop whenever we needed to stock up on more tequila. He was a huge part of why our weekend was so great! I can’t recommend Lost in Baja highly enough. Our experience in Valle de Guadalupe was unforgettable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to Baja to explore even more.
