We got what we expected, fast check-in despite arriving late at night, and a more than decent room. Nice atmosphere, people are very convenient, we were able to leave our car in their parking lot for our day's visit to San José. More than affordable price, only traffic noise in the morning and cold shower! Be aware

Close to grocery store and buses. Super friendly staff. Good place to hang out and chill. Nice big kitchen. Pool table and ping pong. Very secure parking. I’ve stayed here twice and will come back for sure.

The hostel is in a nice area with sodas and shops nearby, it has nice little garden to hangout. The dorms are spacious and clean, nice showers with powerful stream and hot water. Also indoor area to read or work. Overall its a good place with good homely vibes from the staff and guests. Even has private parking.

We had a wonderful two night stay here. Walking distance from the hostel you have a soda (which is a great way to eat on a budget) and a couple mini marts. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. There is gated parking which was a plus! They have a charming outside space where you can enjoy relaxing. We high recommend staying at Lost In San Jose Hostel.

I had a very relaxing and fun stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The hostel has a nice, chill vibe with a clean spacious kitchen. It was so nice to sit out on the terrace in the evening and the hostel's great location means that there is no shortage of cool bars and restaurants to visit. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff here are very friendly. Ursula a volunteer was very chatty and a welcoming face after a long tiring journey. I stayed in a private room and it was spacious and clean. Bathroom was only cold water which was unexpected for a capital city. Main disadvantage: the common area is near to the rooms. Guests frequently smoke so the room, bathroom, hallways can smell of smoke. For a hostel that promotes health and wellbeing this is really strange to me. Perhaps only allow smoking out the front of the property not on the main grounds.

the girl at reception is hateful. I politely asked to speak a little louder because I couldn't hear what she was saying to me. She told me no coldly. after that in the dormitory has 8 beds she put me in the worst place without a socket for charging. I asked politely if I could take the bed below and she told me no, people were coming later. there is no bed reservation in a hostel. it was just to hang out and in the end no one came. Finally impossible to use my medium-sized padlock which did not fit in the locker. impossible to politely ask to lend me a padlock. It was 4 $ the padlock for one night while I had mine. in more than 40 hostels I have never seen this. hostel to run away !
