Interesting place. This is also part of a restaurant two doors down called Lot One. Problem is, if you want to sit down and eat, or have a cocktail, you have to go to Lot One and order. Lot one also has their own menu, but you can order from Lot Que as well, very odd arrangement.
The barbecue was pretty good. We had the burnt ends, brisket, ribs, pulled pork and hot links. All of it was good, the pulled pork was excellent. Unfortunately ALL of the meat came to the table luke warm at best. The sides were hot. For sides we has coleslaw, which was an odd kind of southwestern style that we didnt care for, baked beans were very good, sweet potato corn bread was interesting but very very dense... Overall the food was good, but would have been much better had it been at least warm.
On the positive side, which is the reason for three stars instead of two, the manager made a point of stopping by and asking how things were. I told him that the flavors were very good but the meat was all cold. He was very conscientious and genuinely concerned. His reaction to that one complaint is probably the only reason we will go back in a few months. Lot Que is fairly new, 2 months I believe. We will revisit in a few months and see if things have improved. Still not sure what to say about the two shared businesses. Seems to me that they have a good start on their barbecue thing, why not open a separate location instead of having this odd and cumbersome arrangement?
