"Lotti's By day, the low-slung leather chairs and chesterfield sofas at this spacious bar-restaurant in the trendy Hoxton hotel on the Herengracht canal belong to the laptop-and-coffee crowd. By night, the same lofty, mod-chic space morphs into a buzzy but sophisticated spot for drinks and bites. If you’d prefer a proper table, the restaurant area at the back—with a retractable roof that opens on temperate days—serves an Italian-influenced menu; it’s especially popular for weekend brunch."

I loved the atmosphere at Lotti’s. Very stylish and well decorated. The food was as well really good. Most of their ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced, which I love! I had the Egg BLT from the brunch menu and it was so tasteful! Love that they serve sourdough bread. Tasted like good quality bread. I did find it slightly overpriced though. 20 euros for a slice of bread with 2 eggs and bacon, although it al tastes very fresh and of good quality, I think it’s a bit much still. Loved the matcha with almond milk, as well super tasteful. The service was fast and very friendly so that’s a big plus as well :)

It was my first time and it was ok. The coffee was mild in my opinion for a flat white, but it depends on the coffee bean. The toast with poached eggs was very simple, thank goodness I ordered salmon as an extra, otherwise it would have been very brief. The egg was a little overcooked.

Stayed at the Hoxton when I was in Amsterdam and ate here for breakfast and also evening drinks. Cube is casual and trendy. Comfortable seating. It does get busy in the evenings so sometimes finding a seat is difficult. Breakfast items come fresh and quick from the attentive service staff. We had breakfast here 3x out of the 4 nights we were at the hotel. Eggs came out perfectly cooked and made to order. The pastries and toast were fresh and their coffee/latte/mocha drinks were made perfectly for the Dutch mornings They have thoughtful cocktail menus with different bases for your tastes. Gin, Scotch, Rum, they had great ratio of alcohol to flavors. We had a few drinks here before we went out again or as a night cap. Highly recommended.

Cozy and stylish spot in The Hoxton. I had the Lotti’s Benny with salmon and truffle, and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with great service. I’ll definitely be back to try lunch, dinner, and more.

I have mixed thoughts after inconsistent experiences here. 1. BAR: The bar has an energy. It gets very lively, mostly with couples or pairs of people in conversation over drinks. Recommend the crisps with the smoked caviar dip (really, try it). 2. A.M. COFFEE AT THE BAR: The chef called out one day during our stay, and we could only get coffee before they got a replacement chef. We had the BEST CAPPUCINO ever at the bar. 3. BRUNCH: Eggs Benny was...meh. good egg and bacon, but the hollandaise was flavorless and the grilled bread tasted like burned butter. It came out like warm. 4. DINNER: The chicken for 2 is amazing! Try it. We had it twice during our stay. Both times though, the service was spotty at best and downright poor at worst. The second night, they brought all of our food at once after we waited quite a while to order, (starters and main), the baguette looked morning like the first night... It looked more like crostini, and we waited 20-30 minutes for a soft drink.

Google
I had a really nice evening here recently. First, we had a delicious meal in the restaurant area and then a few amazing cocktails in the lounge area with DJ. The restaurant has a very cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Also the service was super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend spending an entire evening here with your friends or date

Google
The restaurant has a nice, cozy, and trendy vibe, which fits well with the Hoxton’s atmosphere. However, the service could definitely be improved. I had to reach out to the staff every time—for seating, ordering, or adding to my order—as they didn’t seem to be actively attentive, which made the experience slower than expected. For a place like this, I expected better service. The food was good, but nothing exceptional for the price. Overall, the setting is nice, but the service and value leave room for improvement.

Google
Kind of disappointing. The eggs benedict were served real cold, you can clearly see it from the hollandaise sauce curdling on the plate. When this was pointed to the waitress there was no response. The Eggs Royal mocks their counterparts “eggs with truffle slices”. Not worthy 3€ extra. My friend who is pregnant asked for a mocktail and well-done burger, it seemed her request was lightly taken into account (unclear if the drink had alcohol or not).

First time in Amsterdam and first time here. Met for a meeting. Very nice crowd and ambiance. Service was perfect too. Highly recommended

Yelp
We had breakfast here 3x, drinks at the bar once, and dinner once. We also walked through several times to/from our room and this place was busy at all times every day. They have a dining room, a less formal lounge, and a bar. If you are seeking a proper cocktail bar this is your spot. We tried maybe 6 different options and they were all great. Nicely balanced and not overly sweet with some interesting things like coconut milk clarified spirits and beets, allspice, Japanese whiskey, and on and on. Dinner was likewise fabulous with fully half the entree options vegetarian. We enjoyed the risotto and the Dahl (both flavorful!) as well as roasted carrots and foccacia to start. Yum! Breakfast was fine but nothing to write home about. We at in the dining room daily because it was easy but I wouldn't go out of my way to get breakfast/brunch here. I thought the filtered coffee (lot 61) was better than the espresso drinks.

Yelp
MOUSES RUNNING AROUND THE RESTAURANT Currently I'm sitting in the restaurant thinking about how I threw my money on scallops which were overcooked with prosciutto that doesn't even taste like it would have to taste and how Im disappointed and was actually thinking about writing the review and then another thing happened, the service was nice up until right now that I saw mouse running around the restaurant and they showed me to keep quiet and DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT. The ambiance in the restaurant was nice but the food and mouses running around were NOT IT. Im not in ratatouille movie to have these rodents eating along with me...

Yelp
Amsterdam has some of the most amazing hotel bars we have ever seen, and Lotti's is one of the gems. They offer brunch options during the day, but they go full bar at night. The space is always packed, but it's large and accommodating with many different seating options available - bar, table, couch, communal table. Their bar snacks are top notch. The frites with truffle mayo, just €7, are as good or better than any frites sold in Amsterdam, and as a nice cherry on top, the truffle mayo comes with actual mushroom pieces on top. The cocktails are top notch, too. One of the current house creations, From the Woods of the New World, an old fashioned riff with banana cordial and cocoa bitters, is outstanding. Very well balanced with a light touch. Nice space right on a canal near Jordaan and its endless nightlife options, too.

Yelp
Loved my lunch at Lotti's! The ambiance was very comforting and the dining area was clean. I really enjoyed the avocado toast with a cappuccino. Will be back next time I am in Amsterdam!

Yelp
Great spot for brunch. There are plenty of European options, but after the long flight I went with the scrambled eggs and bacon, served with sourdough sliced toast. The eggs were very buttery and cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy, although surprisingly salty. Add cold brew coffee and it's a great start to the day... even if it starts at noon! The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. There was one man constantly watching tables, directing the wait staff and making sure everyone had what they needed. If you find yourself in the area get some brunch!

Yelp
Ambiance is crowded and stuffy. Food is not good. Ordered fruit salad and the fruit was old and bruised. The service is slow at times.

Yelp
We were exhausted after our red eye from New York, our hotel room wasn't ready and we needed a bite to eat. This spot has adorable tables along the canal, and delicious food! Perfect find.

Yelp
Love this place - the room, the service, and the food. This year, so far it's been breakfast- got to love perfectly poached eggs, scrambled eggs, but this morning I dug into the smoked salmon selection. And, wow- as many of you know, I am critical and generally kind of a snotty bitch but that salmon plate is one of the best things that I have ever put into my mouth. Kind of had it all - brioche, cream cheese with dill, salmon eggs, pea vines and the perfect fish. And the plate could easily have served two people amply. Did I eat it all - sure did, every bite. Making unseemly noises while eating, hopefully quietly - so, the entire menu is lovely and I enjoyed it but the smoked fish plate is both well priced and nothing short of amazing. Give these guys your business!

Yelp
Cute little spot inside a spot for brunch. I had the egg Benedict and ate the whole thing up. The sauce was made perfectly. My girl got the Ruben and beware it's not traditional. It had a sweet coleslaw on it. She wasn't the biggest fan The banana breads was warm and delicious

Yelp
We made a reservation for dinner on a Friday night. It was last minute reservation but they managed to fit the six of us in. The lobby entrance is understated and casual. I loved it as soon as we walked in. The very chill staff showed us to our table. The cocktails were so fun and instagrammable. We each got a couple. They were good but small. I liked the monkfish but the peppers as appetizer were simple and a highlight. They care very much about presentation of the dishes. I say that because the ravioli was covered in foam. It was under there somewhere! As with most places in Amsterdam it's hard to find someone to come by when you want to pay and leave, but it was a busy Friday night, and that phenomenon is not unique to Lotti's. They're trying. After the meal we went upstairs and played with the photo booth. Pro tip: Six people will not show up in the photo.

Yelp
Delish! This resultant was extremely accommodating to our large group of allergies! The food was amazing and the service was even better! Great place to stop in for a nice dinner

Yelp
Amsterdam going crazy. Service super nice. Nice environment so far so good. But a vegetarian burger 18€ (that is not cheap ) but if you want some fries with your dish 5€! 7,5€ for sweet potato fries. Same with the crispy chicken. 21€ Sounded great on the menu with jus and some tomato based purée. Tiny Chicken breast it was. Taste ok , the sauce? Had to search for it (french style would be quite different) and this tomato thing. Taste ok but what for? What to go with? So again luckily I had french fries. Expensive and not crispy. The rib-eye. So much uneatable parts. 31€? Crazy. If it would have been now real gourmet first class etc. Sure I do understand and Amsterdam is expensive but this is typical hotel restaurant to expensive nonsense What a shame.

Yelp
Inside the Hoxton Hotel. Great cocktail list but I went for mezcal neat. Cool cat atmosphere, buzzy. Hang out here for a quick break from strolling the canals and getting out of the wind if you've come during winter. Cozy seats, fireplace... sit back and enjoy.

GJ C.

Yelp
We ate here twice, once for dinner and again for brunch. Service and food were amazing! Hospitality was everywhere and all staff were friendly and professional! Best Bitterballen, frites and cheeseburgers around! Atmosphere was hip and trendy, without effort. Great times!

Yelp
We stayed at the Hoxton and greatly enjoyed capping off our days with a cocktail downstairs at Lotti's. While it did get very busy, we were always able to find a spot in the comfy lounge. Service was consistently friendly and attentive. The first day I had the Other kind of smoke cocktail which was delicious. The second day I had the Herengracht cocktail which was also good but a little less exciting. We didn't eat any food so can't comment on that, but as a bar I'd definitely recommend it.

Yelp
I was there for drinks after dinner out somewhere else. It is both restaurant and bar serving also the hotel upstairs. Very cool place with great great cocktails. But you can also sip great beers and wines Hard core DJ blast great music which was so pleasant it did not matter the volume. The 2 winter cocktails I picked were super good. I will try next the food and if it is good as the drinks it will get to 5 stars. Service very nice but a bit disorganized.
google avatar

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Terrible service here. The food was average. I had a broccoli soup (just ok) and a roasted vegetable and mozzarella sandwich which was good. Unfortunately for a hotel restaurant you are stuck with this as the only choice within. The hostess is not welcoming and the servers are just inattentive.

Yelp
They say you cannot judge a book by its cover. No place proves that more than Lotti's. From the street, the place looks terrific. But then they start serving the food, and bring you the bill, and you realize how sub-par the place is. We went there for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a 65 euro/per person prix fixe. Amuse bouche was okay -- something with cream, some kind of fish roe, in a sea urchin shell. It was all downhill from there. The first course -- a salmon dish -- was tasteless. Was it smoked salmon? I think so. But it was so absent any taste I could not tell. For the second course, our party chose beef and monkfish -- both were terrible. Overcooked -- the monkfish in particular -- and terribly disappointing. Despite the fact it was a three-course prix fixe, we did not stay for dessert -- we simply couldn't take another disappointment on Christmas Eve. They didn't have the Malbec they listed on the menu, so they pushed another Malbec -- a 10 euro bottle -- for 46 euros. Criminal. Service was unctuous, but neither professional nor prompt. Altogether, the meal cost over 300 euros. Throughout almost the entire meal, I was wishing we had gone to the Indian restaurant around the corner from where we were staying. A couple of nights before, we had gone to the The Duchess in the W Hotel. The meal there, which cost only a modest amount more, was outstanding and delicious. This meal was poor and unenjoyable. Do NOT go to Lotti's. Spend your money somewhere -- anywhere -- else. It's a rip-off, and they don't deserve your patronage. I am sorry I went there; if you go, you will be, too.

Yelp
This is a very cute place. We sat at the bar and ordered some Puglia wines. We also ordered the burrata and croquetas which were delicious. It's a trendy bar, which is nice for a chill night out. It's in a good area, with nice shopping nearby.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Service is wonderful. The food it's good but a bit bland and flavorless. They play it very safe when it comes to flavors and spices. The pasta was good but also safe enough to feed to a child without complaints. The zucchini tastes mostly of the oil it was deep fried in, we asked for a side of pasta sauce for sipping and it came out bland again, mush like warm tomato sauce which didn't add a whole lot to the greasy zucchini. Chicken and mashed potatoes, again. Safely bland. As for the interior... Safe here as well. It's a bit hip- retro- industrial- vintage feeling but again safe and a bit bland. Feels a bit like a glorified cafeteria / lounge in a nice hipster hospital.

Yelp
I can't get over this place! So much to say and yet all I want to say is "yum!" "cool!" "awesome!" But I'll try to be a bit more descriptive...but really, you can stop reading here and just go. Ok then, here's the nitty gritty. It is inside the Hotel Hoxton with a black awning. When we went there was a doorman dressed in black. Just mention you are going to the restaurant and he will point you in that direction. We were then greeted by the hostess and directed to our seats. There's a lobby-type area with comfy seats and the bar nearby, another area is under a huge skylight which is where we sat and loved it (you could see into the kitchen), and then an area just past that in a mood-lit area where I would recommend for a date. Though the whole area is great for a date. That area just, um, sets the mood. The food is based on Italian dishes, but some Dutch thrown in there. So if you are Dutch, no worries, you can get your bitterballen ;) -SPOILER ALERT- Everything was delicious, so I won't bother saying that after everything. This menu was for two people...just so you don't get the idea I ate EVERYTHING listed! Served with bread and oil Cheese croquettes-nice, hot, cheesy goodness Rib Eye-perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful and served with Bearnaise sauce Veal-tender, flavorful, crispy coating with beautiful presentation Fries-very good, but not Flemish-style Chocolate Mousse-creamy, chocolatey, not overly sweet and served with crushed pistachios Tiramisu-not traditional, but tasty. Seemed more like a pudding than traditional tiramisu. House cocktails: An Engroni cocktail and cocktail with vodka and cucumber. Both smooth and refreshing. Longer wine list than you would expect for a place like this. Menu is long enough for you to find something for you, but not too long that it takes you forever to just read through it. Decor is simple and classy without being overly fancy. The staff is professional, courteous, polite, friendly. A highlight in Amsterdam. Prices are very reasonable for the level of service and quality of food. Perfect for: drinks with friends, business meal, date night, evening with visiting parents.

Yelp
While I've tried a bit of the food and it was tasty, I'll just say that cocktails are reason enough to come to Lotti's! Order off the creative menu or ask the bartender to make you something special if they are not too busy. If Max is there, ask for a Lotti's 255, a pretty mix of pear, peach and cranberry that is refreshing but not too sweet. Or go for a BerrySpicy255, a savory drink with 3 berries, chili and coriander! I love elderflower, cucumber and gin so I went for the long drink with those ingredients expecting it to taste like most other G&Ts around town. But the concoction at Lotti's is slightly different with a frothy top and strong cucumber flavor. Love it! The food here is tasty too and I look forward to sampling more. The caesar salad is a light but filling choice. Come check out Lotti's - it's definitely the new hotspot for the cool kids. Yelp
4.5* for breakfast / 2* for dinner Breakfast was great! Service was on point, food was excellent, and we were eager to try them out for dinner...that excitement didn't last long! Service for dinner was fine but the food was not very good. I got the truffle ravioli which was not hot and very bland, the poached egg onto was undercooked slightly. My husband got the ribeye and it was not cooked as ordered and was very tough, but the biggest issue was the SALT! The steak, the salad on the side, the bearnaise sauce...so...much...salt! For two, with two bottles of sparkling water, was $77. I would not come back here for dinner again.

Yelp
Stopped in here to grab a quick bite & glass of vino around 4. The atmosphere was nice and lively. Snack & glass were good and service was friendly. Plus, there are USB chargers if seated at a table against a wall. Free WiFi too!

Yelp
I absolutely loved my dinner here. You couldn't tell it was a hotel bar/restaurant because there was a lively energy you don't find in most hotels. Having arrived for an early dinner there were already lots of people spread out having drinks. There is one section with couches and low, comfy chairs to grab a drink near the bar. There is also lots of table seating if you prefer to eat near the kitchen. Decor was dark and trendy. There was a small check in / purchase counter near two computers for hotel guests. It looked more like a hip internet cafe style instead. I ordered two spicy Bloody Marys because they were that good. Incredible. For dinner I had the linguine vongole and grilled cabbage. The linguine was al dente with a flavourful red sauce and tiny clams in the shell. The cabbage was unique, cooked through but charred on the outside then set in a seaweed mayo with fried onions. Super tasty! I wish there were more of these hotel bars. Friendly, attentive staff. Decent prices for the atmosphere and area. It was not touristy at all. Most importantly, great quality food. Perfecto!

Yelp
Very packed but nice ambience and live music. Drinks and food are overpriced. We had appetizers, beer and wine. Server was very attentive.

Yelp
I've been in Amsterdam for a few days, and have had a few salmon Bennie's. Lotti's Bennie has been the best so far. I was hungry, so I also ordered the sweet potato fries. They were also lovely. Finally, I had a great, acidic Americano. The prices were a little high, but reasonable having spent appriximately 20 euros. The salmon was worth it.

Yelp
What a lovely space located on the ground floor of the Hoxton Amsterdam. When walking into the hotel, you are greeted by a warm space filled with tables for working/laptop play as well as dining. We stayed at the Hoxton for just a single night and learned to quickly embrace Lotti's downstairs. First: Coffee. We arrived in Amsterdam after waking up way early and taking the morning train from Paris. Clearly, we needed a jolt of energy to kick start our quick visit in Amsterdam. So we checked in, threw our stuff in the room and ran downstairs to ask for coffee. Thankfully, we were able to take it to go. It was strong and completely hit the spot. Second: Room service. After the first few hurried hours in Amsterdam, we returned to the hotel in need of a quick bite and a nap. We ordered a burger for him and a cold beet salad for me. He loved his burger and I felt very healthy having some roasted beets and avocado with pesto. It was light and refreshing which was something I needed before my nap. The service was prompt and everything arrived as expected. Third: Farewell meal. We had left our bags at the hotel while we visited Van Gogh and a few other destinations before leaving. We came back to gather them but also to grab one last coffee and meal. He (go figure) got a patty melt while I got the special, beet and carrot soup with avocado toast. It was way more food than I expected and couldn't finish it but it certainly was delicious. Again, a perfectly healthy meal before sitting on a train for the next three hours heading back to Paris. While there are cheaper meals in this city, I greatly enjoyed the ease of access that the pleasant staff provided. Everyone was eager to help us and all the service was prompt and courteous. Plus, I loved the atmosphere there. It was clean and inviting with cozy leather arm chairs and tables for your convenience. I certainly recommend Lotti's.

Yelp
Great service, although I could see how this spot could get super busy quickly and find a person waiting. Had the avo toast with poached eggs for bfast - loved. Thick sliced roasted wheat, unobstructed avo, beautiful eggs, and chili flakes. Coffee was strong and robust flavored. Fun spot and on the higher end of the cost spectrum, but low key vibe balanced it all out. Chill.

Yelp
Great ambiance, great location, good food but unfortunately mediocre service. Once you enter Hoxton hotel you immediately see that this is the place to be for food and drinks in the center of Amsterdam. Lots of young urban people crowd the bar. Also the presence of various nationalities and the warm interiour are appealing. At hoxtons restaurant Lotti's you notice that they are not yet at the same level of service as in the bar. Service is slow, waiters tend to forget orders, dishes are not served at the same time and the personnel does not seem to have knowledge of the wine menu. Apart from that were various tables not stable which is very annoying and distracting. Last but not least: prices are high for the quality of the food. My advise to Lotti's: step it up!

Yelp
Great staff . Delicious, fun mixed drinks . Great IPA beers. DJ , lively bar, comfortable seating

Yelp
I want to give it 3.5 stars. The ambience is cool and has a lounge vibe. We sat at the bar and had dinner. The cocktails were imaginative and different. Dinner was fine and more along the lines of what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant. The fish was a little pricey for the portions but tasty. They did a different twist on the veggie burger with beets and pickles, which was not my favorite combination. I'd recommend for a nice drink.

Yelp
Wow...what a nice restaurant in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is not known for having the best food. I have had many bad, or rather, bland, experiences... This place is not one of them and does not disappoint. The ambiance is great; subway tiles, big, open and airy space. Just lovely and right on a canal. The menu has many options and, happily, lots of vegetarian choices. My colleague got the pasta with read sauce and it looked amazing, she was really happy with it. I had the grilled vegetables. Everything was cooked great and tasted fabulous...again, somewhat of a rarity for Amsterdam. The service was really nice as well. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Note...I would make a reservation in advance if you can! Good wine and cocktail selection too. Will absolutely come back the next time I am in town! Great for a date night or a night out with friends!
google avatar

Maui H.

Yelp
Great ambiance. But that's it. Waited more than 90 minutes for my food, had no taste. Had to wait more than 15 minutes each time for a drink. It's a shame, but again, great ambiance.

Yelp
Atmosphere: 4/5 Nice cozy variety of seats and tables, and they rearrange them for dinner to make the space a bit more accommodating. Breakfast set-up is perfect, comfortable and serene. Overall nice and welcoming. However, a bit loud during dinner, and they turn up the music to ear-breaking level at 10PM, which was a bit odd for us as we (along with everyone else) were sat having dinner, dessert or coffee and clearly struggling to have a conversation. Service: 4.5/5 Great by Amsterdam standards. Relatively friendly, fairly quick, fairly attentive. They definitely treat you better if you're well-dressed and look like you know what you're doing. But show me a designer hotel that doesn't ;-) Food: 5/5 Breakfast was delicious, great quality, fresh, exactly what I ordered. My favourite thing was that I was able to order a whole plate of fresh avocado alongside my scrambled eggs. The coffee is nice as well. Menu is simple and small but has something for everyone. Dinner was hit or miss. I love the simplicity and buildability of their menu (you can order lots of yummy sides with your meals) but I found some of the dishes a bit too minimalist. For example, my caesar salad had no dressing. It was quite a struggle to eat. Overall recommendation: go here for breakfast!

Yelp
Stupid place. Tiny tiny table for three people. Complained, manager apologised endlessly but couldn't fix it. Our plates were hanging off the table. Pork belly was salty as hell. Lamb was good, but not sure it's worth it. We did get a round of drinks free after complaining, which is why it's not a one star. Manager was cute.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly, very charming. I didn't have the food, but the drinks were great and the service was top notch.

Yelp
I love this spot. Gorgeous decor, the servers are all very friendly and helpful with suggestions, their cocktails can't be beat (get the one en flambé!), and even on a rainy day the main dining room is a beautiful place to be. Can't wait until I'm back in Amsterdam so I can enjoy Lotti's again!

Yelp
The Hoxton is an awesome hotel. A burger from Lottis left my wife with food poisoning. They should consider changing to a new vendor.

Yelp
The service I experienced at this restaurant was quite simply the worst service I have ever received in my life. After eating a delicious ricotta gnudi, our plates were promptly cleared away by a busboy, yet our waitress never returned to our table. We had planned to order dessert, but the 45 (yes, 45) minutes we sat waiting for her to grace us with her presence took away that desire. To pay, we actually had to ask the hostess to retrieve our bill! This was not a singular occurrence- we witnessed three tables receive no service during this time. Usually, I would give the waitress the benefit of the doubt; however, we could see her frolicking around the restaurant and actively not bothering to do her job. Evidently, flirting with the mildly attractive front desk staff was more important than serving customers. I highly recommend never ever ever going to this restaurant.

Yelp
Great looking place, horrible service - be prepared to wait 15 minutes for a coffee or tea. Can't speak for the food as i only had a few drinks. Decaf is 0.50 extra(?) -as well as soy milk, which devalues the brand experience of this place imho.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and taste the international ambiance. You'll see a lot of internationals and start-up oriented business people here. Overall the quality of the food is good: starters were great (would recommend the burrata), mains are decent although a bit pricey. The desserts are fantastic, had the best chocolate caramel brownie here in my life. The sides however were very dissappointing and oddly mispriced for the quantity and quality, nevertheless not bad enough to spoil an evening fuelled by great cocktails and fantastic wines! Will be back again.

Yelp
Great trendy restaurant perfect for a night out with friends- good energy and great scene. Food was delicious too- the scallops and chicken were both winners. Service was pretty slow, typical for Amsterdam, but definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
You cant only getaway with a nice place and good location. In my opinion if a restaurant chooses to have a small menu the food should be close to perfection, however, the food was mediocre, the presentation and plating was dull . The starters were boring, we had the haring , hung cheese (like kwark with half toasted white bread) and cauliflower. Can't jump and say hallelujah! For The main-course some had lamb (they said was ok) , i took the gnocchi (which was dry and needed extra extra extra sauce to make it work) Another had the burger (said its so so) And last the fish which I heard was dry. The sides we took fries (over oily), the mixed veggies (cut wrong big small and various sizes made the big pieces under cooked), the crushed potatoes were barely crushed and not seasoned enough. The dessert was tasteless, we all had the chocolate thing with whiskey or vanilla ice cream. Blah.... And to tip it all off we ordered wine for the main dish... which only arrived just before we finished eating. (Nice of them to apologize and give it OTH) Overall experience... bad Lucky I enjoyed the company of my dear friends! 50 euros pp

Yelp
5 stars for the location, drinks and the service, 3 stars for the food. I got rained in here during an unexpected afternoon storm and decided to post up and do my work while having a pasta, wine and tea. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The space itself is well located (on the canal) and well-designed - managing to feel both bright and warm and cozy. It feels like a hip hotel lobby (which it is - the Hoxton Hotel) and part of the restaurant has a large glass window roof, which makes it a bit brighter. I had the orecchiette bolognese, which was a bit bland but salt and pepper helped. I sat here for a couple hours and really enjoyed the atmosphere - will definitely return.

Yelp
Enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere and the bartender (singular) was a true mixologist. But it was painfully long to get served. It took 15 minutes to order each drink (and I was sitting at the bar). After my second was finished I waited another 15-20 to order another with no luck so I decided to leave. I couldn't get anyone's attention to get the bill, so I put down what I hope was enough euros for the bill and left. People around me were ordering two rounds at a time because they had waited so long. It's clearly a hotspot, but don't go if it's crowded and you're a quick drinker. #needmorebartenders
