Their crepe cakes are sure to impress for any occasion! Ordered the mango crepe cake for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely fantastic in every way. Everyone complimented on it. First, the box it comes in is beautiful and opens like a fancy present 🎁. Second, the cake itself looked beautiful and came with a golden birthday candle. The crepe cake was so finely layered with mango and whipped cream and tasted perfect, like a cloud of creamy mango in your mouth that is very light. It’s a pricier cake but totally worth it and you get what you pay for.

First time here. It is one of the few places in Burnaby that was open late. On arrival, my impression was that it was a very nice, clean, and bright atmosthere with lots of options for dessert, from different flavored Crepe cakes to parfaits and drinks. We chose a booth which provided some privacy for discussions. When it was about 9 pm, it started filling up and quiet again by 10 PM. There is free parking at 8 PM on the street and there was a sign indicating spots behind the building. You place your order at the counter and they will bring it to you and clear the table afterwards. I appreciated the service. I liked the variety of flavors offered, We had the light Lychee Rose crepe cake and oreo cookie parfait with matcha lattes. The cake had a delicate flavor which I wouldn't mind if it was slightly sweeter. The parfait used good of quality gelato. The matcha latte taste as though it had good quality matcha. Would return..

Google
The place is very nice, although the space between tables is quite small. You arrive and are told you have to sit down and place your order online, but the truth is, it's cumbersome, and looking at the menu in photos isn't the same as seeing the portions and what you want to eat with your own eyes. So we got up from the table and placed our order directly at the register. The desserts were exquisite, as was my drink.

Google
If you’re looking for your daily sugar fix, this is the right place! Desserts are good, but maybe a bit too sweet. Finishing a slice of cake is honestly a challenge. That said, overall it was a positive experience, great service and the place is super clean.

Google
Among all the mille crepe cakes I tried at this shop, the lychee flavor stood out as the absolute best — the layers were delicate and moist, with a subtle floral sweetness that made each bite truly enjoyable. In contrast, the other flavors were just average; they lacked the same balance and uniqueness and didn’t leave a lasting impression. While the cakes are definitely on the pricey side, the overall experience is elevated by the interior decor, which features a fresh and minimalist aesthetic. The space is thoughtfully designed with soft colors and natural elements, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing with dessert or catching up with friends.

Google
The food here was okay, just standard fare. We tried one of their cakes, and while the flavor was good, the texture was quite unique, which made it stand out a bit. The coffee was decent but definitely on the pricier side for what you get. It is cozy and stylish, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. Just a heads-up: if you’re hoping to sit in one of the nice booth areas, make sure to reserve ahead of time they fill up fast.

Been here so many times. Love matcha floats and every crepes here! Ferrero ice cream is very rich in flavour, will definitely order it again in the future.

Google
Love the atmosphere and the booths that they have, so i frequently come here to study, their matcha is really good and i also recommend the fruit tea! It tasted sooo goood One thing about this cafe, is that it’s on the pricier side, drinks are around the ~$7-10 price range and cakes are around ~$9-12 which is lowk crazy ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Yelp
One of the better crepe cakes spots in Vancouver. It's a shame that it's soooo overpriced tho. I enjoyed the lychee one, it's rare flavor. They also tend to sell out easily. So go early.

Yelp
Late night dessert cravings led me here, and let me tell you, it was worth it. These crepe cakes are officially my new obsession. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't even notice that the table we sat down at was unstable but they did and they came and moved us to one of the reserved booths. They're open 1-8pm on weekdays and 1-10:30pm on weekends Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Parking 4/5 (we went around 8pm)

Yelp
Delicious desserts and wonderful service. Cute little dessert shop, I enjoy the relax atmosphere.

Yelp
Nice spacious place for dessert here. It has crepe cakes, roll cakes, ice cream and tea or coffee. It is Asian style with a heavy emphasis on matcha drinks. We shared the mango crepe cake (there's durian too!) and it was nice. Fluffy thin crepe layers with fresh mango. I liked my iced matcha drink. Refreshing on hot days. It opens at 1 pm so it is perfect for after lunch or tea time and later.

Yelp
Stopped by here for dessert after a good night of chowing down. My foodie friends were quite complimentary of L'otus enough to have us come from PoCo to the Metrotown area. I definitely figured out afterwards that it was worth the effort. There is a fair amount of space for people to come in and take their time with drinks or desserts. The variety of ice creams and cakes were solid. I ended up choosing the Creme Brulee cake. I was super fascinated by the amount of layers. It very much lived up to my expectations as it was quite tasty. I had to pace myself a bit to make sure I didn't just devour it in a minute. I could have gone for another slice with how much i enjoyed it. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at L'otus. I have to come back at some point for another slice of the Creme Brulee, or maybe reluctantly try something else.

Yelp
Missus rates this a 4.4/5. Her quotes: flavour is good. Machine might make the ice cream, but it was an enjoyable experience. Verdict: seating might be a pain and it is slightly overpriced, but it is definitely worth a visit! The Mille feuille cakes are a bit too thick - so you taste more "crepe" than the actual supposed flavour. Seating is somewhat of an issue (there's not much of it - maybe only 3-4 tables seat 4, but the rest seat 2 - not great for large parties), but someone left as we began looking for a table.

Yelp
Beautiful cakes and interior but the price is maybe not so beautiful. Pictured is the Matcha No. 2 and the Hojicha Bergamot cake. The ice cream had a pleasant matcha taste and was around $5. On the other hand, the s l i v e r of cake was $9 . It didn't really have any taste resembling hojicha and there was a layer of citrus jelly inside the cake which I felt didn't really match the flavour of the cake. However this might be a bit biased since I'm not a big fan of citrus or sour foods. I enjoyed the chocolate and nut layer on the outside im but overall I would not be going back for this specific cake. But since I am a sucker for pretty things, I would like to go back and try their other pretty cakes

Yelp
How many layers is too many? We finally tried the famous crepe cake from Lotus Cake Boutique. It was hard to select one single flavour. We ended up ordering separate slices of the crepe cake, so everyone can enjoy their awesome taste of choice. [Lotus Cake Boutique] is composed of layer upon layer of tender delicate crêpes. My favourites definitely are Musang King Durian Crepe Cake 貓山王榴蓮千層蛋糕 and Uji Matcha Crepe Cake 宇治抹茶千層蛋糕. They were so soft, fluffy, super yummy and had the perfect sweetness. The cake was fantastic! I have to tell you, the flavour was out of this world. Lotus Cake Boutique opened a new location in Burnaby. It was a few blocks away from the Metrotown Skytrain Station. It's located at 4352 Beresford Street near the Metropolis at Metrotown area. Dessert: 5/5 Must Try! Service: ‍‍‍‍4/5 Kids: 3/5 A-OK for kids Price: $100-$150 (average $12-$14 each slice of crepe cakes) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 2/5 parking behind the store or street parking in the neighbourhood Tips: * should go early if you want to try out their popular crepe cakes (including matcha, durian, or earl grey). * can pre-order through the Messenger in Facebook , call the store, or DM in Instagram. * should place your order two days in advance if you want a whole cake order. Would I Return: Yes ‍ for special occasions

Yelp
I was forced to pay tips at this store and I felt so bad. I am just taking out some cakes and I suppose a small tip is well enough. However the cashier do something to change my bill at the back end so when I pay, the bill changed from 40 to 46. 0 and 6 are far enough on the keyboard so I believe it is not my mistake. How can you force a client to pay tips like that? do you have any sense of respecting the customer? NEVER VISIT THIS STORE.

Yelp
Amazing cake flavours and truly a rare customer service experience. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Second location for the crepe cake boutique originally in Richmond. L'otus is famous for their 15-layer mille crepe cakes. This new location is larger than their Richmond store. For crepe cakes, we had chestnut, lychee & rose, matcha, and strawberry ... all were super yummy! I also tried the matcha + brown sugar pearl drink, which was also very good. Besides crepe cakes and specialty drinks, they also offer other types of cakes (roll, shortcake, etc.), as well as a variety of gelato. The staff was very nice and friendly. They are currently offering 10% off all orders as a soft opening special. Visa/debit/cash are the accepted payments (no Mastercard). Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been to L'otus yet.

Yelp
I have come here three times already. It was excellent! The interior design was very attractive, comfortable and upscale in terms of a matcha restaurant. The owner has put a lot of effort, time and energy on running this matcha shop and aimed for success. Since I have been here three times, they have updated their menu from a more simple version to a nicer one. Most of the items on the menus are the same. We tried their matcha beverages, parfait, shortcake, and crepe cakes. All of us loved them. This is the best shop to eat matcha products in Vancouver other than the ones we had in Japan. Most of the customers here were female. There were a few guys but they were tagging along with thegirls. This restaurant is a good option for girls date, dating, and friends gathering. Servers were friendly and they were trying to be efficient because there were a lot of customers in house and those who bought takeout. I would highly recommend this matcha dessert restaurant to others. The only concern is parking is limited in this neighbourhood.

Yelp
We ordered the strawberry roll cake. The decoration is very simple and elegant. The inside of the cake doesn't have too much cream and has lots of strawberry. The cake itself is very light and not too sweet. But I don't think the flavour justifies the price. The roll cake serves around 6-7 people depending on how you cut the cake. It wouldn't be somewhere I would recommend to other people but overall it's cute to bring to a family gathering and the packaging also looks impressive.

Yelp
Very nice cafe with a big selection of cakes. I live matcha and I am went for the matcha shortcake. I wish there were more pieces of matcha chocolate on top. The gold flakes were a nice touch. Their cakes are quite expensive. My friend and I both shared a teapot of Earl Grey tea. I hope to come back in the warmer months to try their matcha ice cream flight. This is very nice place to chill. They have a good amount of seating available.

Yelp
Price: $12 ; $7 or $15 for the sampler Taste: 4.9 / 5 Atmosphere: 5 Seating: 2.5 Price Performance ratio: 4.8 / 5 Retention Rate: 100% ℙros: They've got a strong Matcha game going on the strongest matcha flavored ice cream I've had in Vancouver. Even better than the from Matcha Maiko or Tsujiri the sampler has 5 levels of Matcha intensity. 1st level is the mildest and 5th is the strongest. The matcha flavor from the 1st level was still noticeable but marginally sweeter they make the best crepe cakes in Vancouver IMO. I know some people prefer the paper-thin crepes resulting in a nearly unnoticeable crepe layer... but that's just like eating whipping cream. You might as well just buy a can of whipping cream then. we tried the creme brûlée crepe cake and it was delicious. Perfect crepe to whipped cream ratio. The top had the caramelized crust and it was slightly crunchy I also tried their durian and 65% chocolate dark chocolate crepe cake before and they were also lovely. their desserts aren't too sweet ℂons: nothing to complain about atm Final thoughts: I find desserts at $10+ range expensive here in Vancouver but not for crepe cakes. It's very labor intensive and time consuming to make each of those layers, so I'm happy to pay Looks like most of you are matcha addicts and prefer the slightly bitter aftertaste from the matcha ice cream I also prefer level 4 - 5 intensity their ice cream reminds me of the ones from Japan Note: only the Burnaby location sells ice cream

Yelp
Aesthetically pleasing inside but not worth the service. It may just be language barrier with the staffs/owner of this cafe - but boy are they miserable! The Asian blonde woman is 1) super rude, snotty, extremely arrogant, dismissive and helpless. Other woman with dark hair, is another turn off to say the least for absolutely being dull with her response. Why why why open such cafe with daddy's fund but can't operate it right? Super unfair. Super unwelcoming atmosphere. Super disappointing and I am ashamed to have stepped foot in this establishment. The drink options is so minimal. The ice cream are all basic. The cake is so expensive but mediocre. Why the f is this place even open. Undeserving business.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
You need to go here if you LOVE 1) matcha 2) a beautiful, clean interior 3) friendly & quick customer service As a matcha fanatic, I really enjoyed all of the treats here, but my favourite is definitely the ice cream. The flight of ice cream is perfect for sharing with 2-3 others (it might be a bit too much for just two people!)

Yelp
Finally we have this matcha shop in burnaby! We went here on a weekday afternoon so there is not a lineup, but if you go on weekends prepare to wait! We order the 5 scoops of matcha ice cream, they serve level 1-5, from the lightest to strongest. Level 1 they created for kids who want to try matcha so they only add small amount of matcha, so it taste more milky. Level 3 is the most balanced, we recommend. Level 4 is for matcha LOVER! Level 5 is really bitter, but can be challenging! The server is nice and ask if we want to try the different flavor of ice cream. We enjoy the crepe cake very much! It's flavored but not too sweet!
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
After hearing a lot from friends about their cakes, we finally make a trip to visit and try their desserts! The interior design is absolutely gorgeous and it's relatively spacious. However, it gets really busy fast around 8pm and after. Tip: You can make a reservation and they'll do their best to save you booth seats We ordered a matcha ice cream flight, Matcha Millé Crepe Cake, and an Earl Grey Millé Crepe Cake. The matcha ice cream flight has 5 levels for a price of $15. The Matcha Crepe Cake was $9.50 and Earl Grey was $9.00. The size of each slice is around / slight bigger than the palm of you hand. Overall, the flavours of the cake is really good. It's definitely strong for most Mille crepe cake stores and the mousse isn't too heavy. The matcha flight is a great taster for matcha lovers and easily shareable with friends. I recommend checking this place out especially if you enjoy aesthetics. However, it is pricy for what you are receiving as portions. The price is all in the experience
google avatar

Yelp
One of the most popular local shops known for their mille crêpe cakes. We got the matcha crêpe cake, the matcha red bean cheesecake and double layered cheesecake. The top layer of the cheesecake is almost like a mousse, whereas the bottom layer is more similar to a New York-style cheesecake. I love these cakes as they're decadent and not overly sweet. But they're definitely pricey! Unfortunately we couldn't dine in because of COVID restrictions, but the interiors are so charming. We also left the matcha cake in our fridge, and it made it a little too soft/almost mushy so try to eat it fresh!
google avatar

Ksyusha K.

Yelp
Beautiful interior , friendly stuff selling rich flavoured matcha cakes , opened late but no vegan milk options for beverages . Solid 4 because if that .
google avatar

Oly M.

Yelp
Cute corner shop - perfect for a date! Interior decor is great and stays open until a little later unlike all the other shops in this neighborhood which close out much too early. We went a little late, close to 7PM and by then, most of the cakes were already gone. Ended up getting the the Strawberry Shortcake which turned out yummy. Staff was kind and quick to service. Would love to visit again to try more of their menu. Good place to get custom cakes - lots of great flavors on the menu!

Jenna P.

Yelp
There aren't a lot on the menu but they serve like a restaurant and it's a good place to study/work!
google avatar

Elaine Q.

Yelp
The location is convenient being just a few minutes walk from the Metrotown station. If you're taking a car, parking is not that difficult but it was the middle of the weekday. The place itself is nicely lit and clean. Service was pretty quick and the quality of the cake and tea here is always spot on. The only reason why it's not a 5 star for me is because they seem to be constantly raising their price. I understand that business these days are tough though.
google avatar

Zennie T.

Yelp
Their cake is very nice texture and not too sweet. The shop is very cute and easy to find parking too
google avatar

Darius D.

Yelp
I tried this at their Richmond location before and fell in love with their crepe cakes. So I'm glad that they opened a new location much closer to me! The interior is much fancier and more spacious than its original. I love the floral atmosphere. The cakes did not disappoint and upheld a similar standard to the Richmond location. I really enjoyed the five levels of matcha they offered, as well as their patient service when it came to us trying to figure out what to order. They went through several options with us that helped us make our picks. Overall, I would come back again for some desserts.
google avatar

Gloria Jianmin M.

Yelp
My favourite cake/dessert place in Vancouver! ( week it is actually the second store in Burnaby, the first one is located in Richmond) they have so many dessert optionns, like cake, icecream, mochi, drinks, etc...Matcha mochi is my favourite! It is fresh made and hot when they serve it. Must order! The other one impressive is the chestnut cake, however, it is not sold by piece. You have to buy the whole $30. We got it as take out when we left and share with family. I would go back again for the matcha mochi!

Yelp
After a visit with one of our personal bankers, we spot this inconspicuous cafe out of the corner of our eyes and then tried to get to it via Central blvd as there isnt a way to turn onto the street where this cafe is. With loads of construction all around this area, parking is a premium.. well until we get inside and one of the ladies tells us there is parking in the back ‍. Not that busy as there was only two table that were occupied, we cased the place out.. they have craft coffee's & teas but the secret is their exquisite desserts.. such as Durian, Mocha rolls.. Earl Grey cake and a few others on top of the gelato.. 5 grades of Green mocha depending on each persons taste.. we ordered the Mocha roll, a Strawberry swan and a Durian cake... omg! The Durian instantly brought back all the great memories of the Durian Buffet we had in Bangkok There was an abundance of staff busy running around serving the two tables but one superior took the time to come over and explain the differences in Cantonese as well as Mandarin ... and they didn't need to wear those silly masks If the rest of the goodies are as good as the Durian, they will be seeing a lot of me and my friends for certain Came back on Saturday night to a full house.. left my name for a table.. went over to the counter and they gave away my table.. isn't this a nice way to leave an impression... which leads me to wonder how they would be if there were multiple groups.. gave a snarl and left with a takeout.. you guys need to fix issues as such and with people who are simply lounging away when they are done .. in my humble opinion .. had to lower my 5to only a 3for that

Yelp
If you're looking for high quality matcha ice cream, this is the place to go. A worthy indulgence!

Shila B.

Yelp
I finally had a chance to come here and I have to say what a wonderful array of amazing cakes including crepe cakes. I had a layered Macha Tea crêpe cake with a cup of Matcha tea latte. A lot of their menu is focussed around matcha tea but there's a lot of other flavours that are Asian inspired. Prices are market value with all the other cake places in and around the city. The customer service was fantastic. I do have to make a note that although the map does show it's near metro town parking and driving near the area can be a little bit cumbersome as you have to go all the way around, therefore, it's best to just make this a walking Destiination if you're in the metro town area.

Azizah M.

Yelp
We went late on a thursday evening (8pm), so we tried everything they had left (durian crepe cake, strawberry shortcake, and matcha). The cakes were definitely tasty. A few groups came in after us but they were met with empty displays. Go earlier in the day. Worth it!

C B.

Yelp
It's an amazing experience! Ambience, service, food, drink... Everything was at its perfect state. I had a piece of green tea crepe cake and the Matcha red bean latte. They were scrumptious and a pleasure to have. If you love green tea/ matcha, it's THE place to go!
google avatar

Joseph H.

Yelp
The ambiance, the matcha, oh, what matcha! This is the best matcha I've had in Vancouver, the most similar to what I had in Kyoto. Relatively few places in Vancouver have the 5 different levels of matcha gelato. The matcha parfait in the bamboo cup was a revelation. It was better than most of the parfaits that I had in Japan, believe it or not. All the different textures of chewy and crispy delights, yuzu, coffee jelly, and cream. Absolutely delicious. For the true matcha connoisseur. Better than Tsujiri in my humble opinion.

Rachel P.

Yelp
This place is pretty good! The decor inside is very chic and I can see that this place is a bit for upscale. We ordered the Ice cream flavours sample to tastes all of the different matcha flavours they have (ps: 3,4 tasted the best). The crepe cakes were good, however they are not mind-blowing crepe cake. The flavours were balanced but I wished the crepe layers were thinner. I enjoyed it nonetheless. I would recommend this place and would come back!

Peggy L.

Yelp
Regret to try something new then the usual cake shop I used to get my dessert! Not worth the money, looks good for photos but doesn't taste good at all! Worst part...I have stomachache after! Bought 4 different slices, my whole family agree Marui Bakery is way better than this one!

S E.

Yelp
Cute, clean and modern cafe. The seating is comfortable. I enjoy coming to this spot for tea (they have a good selection of teas) and quietly catch up on work. The crepe cakes are okay, nothing special. I do really like the cheesecake! One thing I really don't understand about this place and the reason why I can't give them five stars. WHY, in PEAK hours would they continue to reserve a booth for staff that should be helping out customers while people are lining up waiting for a free booth??.... It makes zero sense...... I thought that was very odd. Shortly after I overheard a customer who had just walked in, make that very exact complaint about how this did not make any sense. The workers seemed confused on how to answer that. Luckily other seating was available when I came otherwise given this situation I may have not come back.

Tina T.

Yelp
It's okay. I tried their matcha crepe cake and it was alright.. Nothing close to Lady M!

Kyra H.

Yelp
I tried many of the flavours of cakes. The strawberry crepe cake is delicious. I want to love this place and recommend it to everyone, but the prices are so incredibly high! I don't think the price justifies a small slice of cake. I can get great dessert at so many other places that is half the price.

Tammy X.

Yelp
Don't come. The staff is rude. She force u left cuz they have time limit for the customers ...i never experience this terrible service in another cafe in Vancouver. It's offensive
