Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel

For this price? it was more then expected, it’s an old hotel and it might be a bit scary from the outside but, the rooms are clean and cozy, I stayed on 9th floor, had an amazing view, no sound reaching us while sleeping. the building construction is super unique, location is also good. Bed was super comfy and the man in the reception was super nice.

Older hotel that needs a little loving cate and attention. Very bust hotel. The rooms ate older designs with lots of timber work. The room we had was comfortable, and everything worked fine. Housekeeping did a good job. Reception staff were always busy with guests checking in and out. In it's day it would have been the premier hotel in the area. Breakfast was quite good with a good range of food. The pool and gym were very good.

Ex luxury hotel. Facilities old but still usable like pool and gym. Rooms are very spacey, view on the mountains. Very quiet area, beds are comfy though sheets and towels had their best times far behind. You get what you pay for, - means quite cheap for 4 star hotel.

Old hotel that has seen grand days in the past. It still has luster. The rooms were clean, big and well maintained. Two complimentary bottles of water every day. The food is simple and just okay. Staff was very helpful. Loved the open view from the elevator. The walking distance to the entrance of the old town is 12 minutes.

My experience at the hotel was mixed. At check-in, the staff did not seem happy or welcoming, which is disappointing for the service industry. They looked bored and like they didn’t want to be there. The breakfast was good, but the juice was not fresh. The hotel room was fantastic—spacious with a balcony—but unfortunately, the bathroom walls had mold. I’ve heard the hotel will undergo renovations next year, which is much needed. The pool was large, though I didn’t get a chance to swim, and the gym lacked air conditioning. While the hotel itself was big and beautiful, its location is slightly outside the central area of Chiang Mai, which could be inconvenient.

This place is sweet, I don’t know why people are complaining. This is a hotel in Thailand for 1000 baht, for that price you can’t complain. It is an older hotel but that’s what makes it unique, yes maybe some tiles in the shower have some dirt in the grout but like i said your in Thailand not a 5 star hotel in Paris. I would definitely recommend this place, unless you’re some cranky old person that complains about every little thing. You will love it! The staff at the front are very friendly and the service is great!

The bathroom offered both a bathtub and a shower area. Moving on to breakfast, it was a delightful experience with a diverse array of options. The pool, though impressive, opens at 9 am. The staff, while generally satisfactory, faced a language barrier for some. One notable service offered was a late check-out option until 4 pm for an additional 300 Bhatt per room. The hotel's location, a convenient 5 to 7-minute walk from the main road, makes it ideal for couples or families. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to return, considering the positive aspects and the unique retro charm that sets this hotel apart.

This hotel is not just old, it’s dying. With this location, guess it’s not worth to be redecorated. You can find many places at this price, at least you can get power after inserting the key card, it’s important because you don’t have to be in a totally dark toilet. At least you don’t have to smell the strong mold. The ceiling is leaking also. Booked 3 nights, left after 1 night without getting refund.
