The entire place looks like a movie set. ❤️ My second time here, and it still delivers — the lamb special was deeply scrumptious, rich and comforting, while the pork tenderloin with mustard sauce was pure bistro perfection. Escargots were a must (because Paris), and the foie gras was absolutely gorgeous. The place was buzzy, packed with locals and in-the-know diners, yet it retains an intimate, old-school warmth. Hidden away on a side street, you’ll stumble upon a true gem in Paris. The staff are the most welcoming and friendly team in the whole city. The menu is reasonably priced, we got 2 courses for €26. If you visit, you must try the Gratin Dauphinoise. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, this is potato perfection. It’s an extra €6 but definitely worth it. You’ll want to get one per person as it’s too delicious to share, even with your loved ones!

There are a lot of highly reviewed restaurants in Paris that I felt like they could have done better in terms of food quality and service, but this place really deserves my 5-star rating. My mother and I both ordered a full course dinner meal (starter-main-dessert) and it was 33€ per person and with this price, we had to try it out and was left satisfied. If I had found this place earlier, I would have visited this place a lot more.

Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The food is very average - we ordered the onion soup, steak & traditional beef. We found that the portion of onion soup is really small, and there is hardly any actual soup inside as the bread in the soup soaked up all the soup. The steak is basically raw actually. (Forgot to take a photo of it). Our waitress is nice and friendly, but the blonde hair lady at the counter looks like she was forced to do her job. Very rude. For a total of 26€, I don’t think this place is worth it. There are better restaurants around.

I visited France in 2022, right around my birthday. When I told the staff that I was celebrating my birthday at their restaurant, both the team and the owner were incredibly kind and attentive. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more special. I also tried escargot for the very first time, and it was absolutely delicious! It turned out to be such a memorable birthday celebration. I got wonderful food and even more wonderful service.

This is a very touristy restaurant in that most customers were tourists and it’s catered toward English speakers. Additionally there is very limited space between tables. The food is decent, however the portions could be more generous and it is probably not the best meal I’ve had in Paris. Ordered the fried Camembert (yum), escargot (good) as starter, as well as beef bourguinon (very alcohol heavy taste), pork, duck confit (probably their best dish), and chicken supreme. the chicken was quite overcooked. although the price €26 for a starter and main seems promising it’s slightly underwhelming and the flavours could be better. Everything is decent but for the price it could still be improved.

We had a lovely time at Lou Cantou. The space is small and it will get cozy as soon as people will join, however, the atmosphere is great, the staff is nice and the french food will warm your heart. Booking recommended.

I had dinner at this place... a-ma-zing! So good! I left with such a gorgeous taste in mouth. Went with my family and the waiter was so nice with us, trying to chat in our native language. When it came the time for food, we asked for reccs for the menu of the day and voilà! The best i had! The médaillon de bœuf, sauce brune and pommes mille-feuille... ñam ñam. The meat was so delicate in your mouth and the potato so crispy yet tasty, wow wow wow. I even considered having 2 more portions. Had such a yummy experience with the tarte tatin and the lava cake too!
