Fabulous hotel in an outstandingly beautiful location beside Lough Inagh, Connemara, one of the best fishing lakes in Ireland. Also close to the "must-see" locations in the West of Ireland, such as Clifden, Roundstone, Westport, Kylemore Abbey, Killary fjord and the magnificent beaches of the Renvyle peninsula. Originally, a fishing lodge built in the mid-19th century by the owner of a huge estate, it retains all the charm and decor of that era, with all the comforts of the 21st century. The ambience is welcoming and relaxed, with a beautiful dining room and two comfortable sitting rooms and a bar. The bedrooms are large, warm and comfortable with sizeable ensuite bathrooms. The food is excellent and the staff are charming. What more could one ask for?!

We had a lovely stay at Lough Inagh Lodge. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The on-site dining room was excellent, every meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. While the rooms are a bit outdated in terms of decor, they were clean, cozy, and perfectly comfortable for a relaxing stay. The charm of the lodge and the stunning surrounding landscape made for a memorable visit. We'd happily return.

We were a party of four , who stayed two nights. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Mrs O’Connor, and escorted to our beautifully appointed and very spacious bedrooms.|We then lodged in the bar, where Thomas made us equally welcome, and soon we were tucking into delicious home made scones, served with fresh cream and preserves. We felt so comfortable, we did not budge, and soon it was time for a bar menu, which had varied choices. We all chose well and the chicken in a mustard sauce for me was to die for, simply gorgeous. |Breakfast was a buffet, but your main course was freshly cooked and delicious. Dinner that night in the restaurant was a culinary triumph. My companions were full of praise for their rack of lamb and the accompanying sauce. As well, I was enthralled by the wine list, and the selections offered was comprehensive, and we were extremely happy with our choice.|The views over Lough Inagh from the hotel are incredible ,and we are planning to return next year. Lough Inagh Lodge is truly deserving of five glorious red stars. Very very highly recommended.

Connemara is a place of beautiful rugged beauty, and at its very heart, you'll find the Lough Inagh Lodge Hotel. We chose to stay here during our recent visit in the area, and I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're planning to visit nearby Kylemore Abbey, which is just a 15-minute drive away. It's well worth the extra hour's drive from Galway to experience this historic and charming property.|Our room offered a postcard-perfect view of Lough Inagh Lake. Waking up to that view the next morning was a highlight, as was our morning walk along the lake's shore.|The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lough Inagh Lodge was a perfect start for exploring the beautiful countryside of Ireland. I can't recommend it enough!

Lough Inagh Lodge is a wonderful old lodge filled with charm and fabulous staff. The staff could not have been nicer. The rooms were spacious and comfy and the bathroom and dressing room were well appointed. The common areas are so charming and inviting...wish we could have stayed longer!||We dined in the main dining room one night and in the tavern another night and LOVED the food and atmosphere. We also booked our room with a breakfast each morning and they had a lovely selection to chose from and all were delicious. ||The location is all by itself in Connemara park and beautifully located across the street from the lake. We just loved the secluded location. It is really peaceful and relaxing.||It was a short drive to Kylemore Abbey and about 1 hour from Galway.

We stayed here for three nights last week (July 2025). This was our first destination on a 16-day holiday in the west of Ireland. We were a bit early to arrive, and Maire was kind enough to make us lunch, let us warm-up with tea (the weather was rough when we arrived!), and they even had our rooms available earlier than check-in. That was a wonderful first impression. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very cozy. The view from this place is absolutely stunning - the pictures give you an idea but there is no substitute for being there. Dominic even phoned one of the local pubs and made a dinner reservation for us. Thomas the bartender was also a great guy to chat with, and he gave us suggestions for our next destination in Galway. The wait staff at breakfast were also very friendly, extremely helpful, and attentive. This place is going to be difficult to top, and it's possible we were spoiled on our first stop here! I give my absolute highest recommendation to The Lough Inagh Lodge, and we would 100% stay another three nights (minimum) again if we are ever in Connemara again. Thank you to the entire staff at Lough Inagh Lodge, you know how to run a top notch hotel/Lodge. 10/10 A+++. The Camiola Family

Stayed for two nights, while touring Ireland. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful and can’t do enough to make your stay the best.|The room was very large with a four post bed, a dressing area and bathroom.|Breakfast is cooked to order and very good. We ate in the bar area both nights and the food was really good.|The views from this hotel are stunning.

We stayed only one night at the Lough Inagh Lodge. The room was very large and had a nice sitting area as well as a table at the Bay window. It had a nice view over the lough. Of course, being built back in the 1880's (obviously refurbished multiple times) it was quaint and had that old-world feel. A little worn, but that was part of the ambiance. By location it is kinda out there away from it all. So we had dinner and breakfast there. The food was standard. There is a mini walk across the street back and forth +/- 200m along the lough coast. We also went south about 300m and then there is a really nice hike on a back road into the valley.

Yelp
This place was a lifesaver during my 2009 hike near the Connemara Way. Friends dropped me off so I could hike the tallest peak in Galway, gave me a brightly colored vest, and suggested I hitchhike back. I was never comfortable with that idea, so I trudged along the country roads, passing beautiful rain drizzled scenery, and many painted sheep. Eventually, I had to give up. I came across the Lough Inagh Lodge and it seemed the perfect resting spot. Perhaps they would have a phone? They did. Perhaps I could get food? Hearty brown Irish bread, delicious butter, soup, and a celebratory Irish cheese plate. It's a wonderful life trekking through Ireland.
