A very nice place to eat. The food is very nice, presented well but not pretentious. Very tasteful and they make good cocktails. Have eaten here twice in one week and would recommend if you have never been.

Food is excellent, especially the tacos. It's lovely to sit outside no matter the weather/temperature because of the heaters. Staff are friendly and attentive, also the sangria is lovely!

Fancy looking place and very popular too. There is big terrace outside and nice inside area with huge windows. We didn’t have any food only drinks there. Service was good and fast. They have nice atmosphere inside so we enjoyed the time there.

We had our lunch there with 25 people and everything went smooth We couldn’t have asked for a better service. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and our guests were super happy. They handled all calmly and with a great service. The food was really good and they didn’t mind us having our cake delivered. They put it on a nice table for us outside ( which meant that the whole group would move) and didn’t make a stress about it either. We are happy we chose them to host our little wedding event

You can pay with cash here, the service was great and the food as well. The food came quickly, it’s not too busy and it’s rather quiet but that depends on how many people there are. I recommend :)

Simple. Tasty. Nice atmosphere. They allow dogs so that already a plus for us. The staff is friendly and the food is up to par and worth the money. Get yourself a nice lunch here and you won’t be disappointed.

I adore Louie Louie. One of the most popular watering holes and hottest ticket for a seat in the neighborhood any time past mid-afternoon, and expect it to be packed wall to wall until late. Everyone that finds out where we're staying asks if we've been here. After a couple of visits I'm crazy about this little corner spot that is both modern and hip, yet cozy and inviting. Whether you're outside on the picnic tables or just inside on the comfortable couches. The espresso drinks are first-rate. Had a flat white and a double espresso and a couple of enjoyable afternoon beers just lounging in the sun in the near perfect summer weather. The odd combination of scones with clotted cream and a dark jam might sound weird paired with a couple of Belgium beers, but what an utter pleasure. One thing about Amsterdam, not a lot of Yelp activity. If this place was in the small town where we're from it'd have 100 reviews. If it was nearby in Kansas City it'd have 500. In NYC, 1000+. After three days here and a fair amount of the town already visited I have to say it's top notch, and already high on my list for the next time we visit.

Tapas style food packed with flavor. We started with sweet potato fries to share then it progressed into many other plates as the flavors started to take over our thinking. We didn't know what to expect as we were walking the streets of Amsterdam looking for a place to eat. The exterior was inviting and I always enjoy outdoor seating. Usually when traveling I try to find what the locals eat and I was really unsure if I wanted Tex mex bbq fusion in Amsterdam. (don't quote me on the style of food as it is just my opinion). This place will be a regular for me for when I revisit as I still crave the flavor infusion. They do not offer take away as it is a dine in only restaurant. I highly recommend the loaded chili fries and the tacos. Desert is a must if you love banana cake. We definitely had food-gasms while eating. The service was great and food arrived rather quickly.

Sweet potato fries were fresh, hot, and real. Blackened fish tacos were not at all blackened (very disappointing) but the seasonings, mayo-type mixture, and toppings made for a decent flavor. Soft tacos were blue corn shells but flavorless. This place serves tapas-style so you get 3 tiny tacos about the size of the palm of my hand. Service was friendly, menus have no English. Vibe is trendy, noise level on a Friday night after 10 pm--through the roof. If noise doesn't bother you the place is great fun, good for people-watching too. The outside patio of smokers is as big as the interior space of Louie Louie, and it is packed . Big downside is you have to pass through that to enter the restaurant. But this situation is Amstetdam. It is a trendy bar serving better than average snacks, and has good vegetarian choices. Overall I recommend Louie Louie.

A nice new addition to Oost, but the food is just ok. Atmosphere: 5/5 As others have mentioned, great design, both strikingly beautiful and at the same time very cozy. Good, quick and attentive service. Lots of places to sit. Coffee: 4/5 The espresso is drinkable, and they actually do a pretty decent cortado. The americano was not good, but it almost never is in Amsterdam... Food: 3/5 The food attempts to be a kind of latin-inspired menu mashup, with options like Huevos Rancheros and Horchata remixed with regular old salads and poached eggs with salmon. Cool concept, but the execution (to me) falls a little flat. We went for egg dishes, and my 'scrambled eggs with chorizo' turned out to be scramble served on a slice of deli-style chorizo/salami. It's not difficult to cook the chorizo into the eggs, guys! (And it is so much more delicious.) I also spied a couple of orders of churros which frankly looked horrific -- 3 sad strips of dough covered in a sad puddle of whipped cream, and not a hint of chocolate in sight... sigh. I don't think I will return to eat but perhaps will come back for the cocktails, of which they have a very impressive menu.

I went here with my husband and son after escaping my husband's conference 'banquet.' It was a beautiful summer night in July and we sat in the patio (communal tables) and had a lovely time. They have excellent beer selections and tapas style plates to share. We shared the vegan rice bowl (great rice), crispy chicken bites (husband and son loved), pork belly, and sweet potato rice. Surprisingly good food but not cheap drinks. Overall good experience.

Fabulous. What a gorgeous place to chill, eat and drink with my grown-up kids on a chilly Saturday afternoon in Amsterdam. Cool decor, laid back vibe, Service way too slow! Everything took too long. Staff not in the ball and were attentive. Food choice and quality disappointing. Mediocre Sauvignon blanc at €7 a glass! Back ground music atrocious!!! Sack the DJ! Plus point it's located in a very cool and trendy area of this wonderful city

Good vibes. They have the best sweet potato fries in Amsterdam. Staff is friendly, helpful and nice. The terrace is heated so you can sit outside when it's a bit colder. That's a big ++

Large space. Good vibe everywhere. Good beer. Good service. My friend was REALLY into the chocolate cake. Warning: the stairs aren't steep at all, so you may forget you're in Amsterdam.

Delicious small bites. I would recommend the dumplings and the sangria blanca, with white wine. Lunch until 16:00 and evening snacks + desserts until 22:00. Lovely menu and atmosphere. Great place for a night out with friends or a date!

So. Louie louie. I just moved to oost from oud west which was my home for a very long time and I left a part of my heart there... Clearly after unpacking my things the first thing I went out to do was to look for a new corner café to have breakfast and coffee whenever I'm lazy. Louie louie is just outside my house so I went there hoping this is the place! The place is nice. The atmosphere is great and service is super friendly and helpful. It was a bit difficult to get their attention all the time but most of the time it was fine. Coffee- please all you coffee lovers out there go there and tell me if it's only me or if my right, but the coffee started really really well. The soy milk what foamed very well and it wasn't boiled. But as I kept drinking it i felt like the taste is a bit weird. Like the coffee had a weird after taste. So please coffee lovers of amsterdam try their coffee and tell me if it's all in my head! I had the scrambled egg. I thought it was ok. Nothing special. Mainly I found Louie louie just average and way too expensive for what you get. Nice. To worth it. I'll go there again when I'm lazy. Not if I want good coffee or good breakfast.

Can't believe I haven't rated this place already. Fantastic multi-purpose joint with great staff, great wines, good food and the odd-type visitors. Louie Louie will attract a very diverse crowd ranging from eastside oldskool hipsters (aka locals), non descript urban professionals (they might have been young once) to anyone passing by and feeling attractes by the buzz and the fuzz that surrounds one of Oost's best terraces. Especially nice on Friday nights. I've had some great ones here. After frequenting this place 10+ more times, I uldated this review from 4 to 5 stars.

The atmosphere here is amazing. The location is perfect and the patio is large and spacious with many different types of seating. The food is the best representation of Mexican fusion we have had on the Amsterdam. Their pulled mushroom tacos are a vegatarian's dream!

This place is like a neighborhood bar plus. It's got all the charm of a local pub with the "cool" factor injected in the form of good music, careful attention to the "vibe" and excellent service. My wife and I have frequented this establishment many times as we lived in a temporary apartment above it for just over a month. Every staff member we met was super cool, every bartender extremely helpful and the manager Ivan is top-notch - always keeping an eye on his lobby. We even brought our 8 month old son in a few times and he loved it too! We got a few looks from the patrons, but the staff was always super cool about it. We'll probably come back to this side of town just to visit the folks here. Cheers!

This is a great place to stop in for a snack or light dinner, with lots of vegetarian options. We loved the chili fries. Great gin drinks and sangria.

Great fish tacos- they are salmon unlike normal white fish tacos. Sweet potato fries so delicious. Perfectly crispy and good mix of salt/sweet.

Very nice new hotspot in Amsterdam East! Nice food, many drinks and beers and a great terrace with a beautiful view on the Tropenmuseum. Absolutely must visit!

What a beautiful place! I love the decor big time. Great colors. The Louie Louie beer is my favorite of the year. I only tried the sweet potato fries with currymayo. The best ever. Can't wait to come back for more.

Very good but very busy by the time I left. Try the Tortuta Cubana!!! If it's chilly they have heaters under the umbrellas but also have a very nice indoor seating area.

great find in amsterdam for both night and day -- it became our "stamkroeg" during our visit to amsterdam. plus they have great cocktails like dark & stormy's and any place that has huevos rancheros is amazing in my book. my only complaint was the food portions were a bit small (but maybe thats because am american)

Looks great and does has great potential. However, service is extremely bad. They are slow, rude, and forget things constantly. It takes them way too long to notice you and it feels you have to beg to be served. In addition the don't seem to remember who orders what, resulting in that they walk with good/drinks and offer it to several tables before reaching destination. All in all a pity.

Right by our hotel in Amsterdam. Great food, decent prices and decent service. The decor was great. Really solid place and will probably go again during my stay here.
