The Best Shopping in Paris: 21 Places Not to Miss | Condé Nast Traveler

"For die-hard Louis Vuitton fans (and fans of luxury more generally), there's no outpost more symbolic or prestigious than the brand's impressive perch on the well-heeled corner of the Champs-Elysées and the avenue George V. The largest Louis Vuitton location in the world, the five-floor store occupies a listed Art Deco building with a period dome visible from both ends of the avenue. You'll find everything from traditional leather goods, handbags and ready-to-wear, to homewares, jewelry, and even art books." - Lindsey Tramuta

An unforgettable luxury experience at Louis Vuitton Champs-Élysées From the moment we arrived, everything about our visit to Louis Vuitton on the Champs-Élysées was absolutely exceptional. We were warmly welcomed and escorted directly to the beautiful room no waiting, no stress, just pure elegance and comfort. The level of service we received was truly world-class. A special thank you to Nikolas, whose professionalism, charm, and attention to detail made the entire experience unforgettable. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, offered thoughtful advice, and made me feel genuinely valued. I’m absolutely delighted with the pieces I selected, especially the shoes, handbags, and a gorgeous coat. Every item feels timeless and special. I truly hope to return to this store again soon. This is luxury at its finest graceful, personal, and perfectly Parisian.

I had the best experience with Diane! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed! She helped my husband and I find our wonderful bags and took the time to show us many options. She even toured us around the store and I never felt rushed. I would definitely come back and ask for her specifically 😊

They had a super long line up but it went pretty quickly. Once we got in we looked around to see all products before fixating on what I wanted. The service was great but while trying to make decisions someone’s child was having fits. I understand what young children are like but sometimes you should just leave and attempt another day. It’s a high end store that should be relaxing not stressful. Kindness ❤️

I visited Paris in July 2025 and this specific LV boutique is what I’ve been aiming for. However the first day I went, they had long queue so I decided to come the next day. They have 2 separate sections for customers to queue. One is with reservation, one is for walk-ins. I did not make any reservation as my itinerary for the day could change.. so I decided to just walk-in. So I came the next day at 10 am on the dot with no queue and was greeted straight away. Camille greeted me and assist to my needs throughout my visit. She was very attentive to my requests, questions about handbags and other LV products. She also helped me to decide which handbag suits me better. I believe all of their staffs are friendly and professional too. Keep up the good teamwork and professionalism :) To add, this boutique is just beside a metro station, George V Metro line 1.

The Louis Vuitton store on Champs-Élysées is absolutely stunning! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the grandeur of the building it’s truly a masterpiece. The architecture, the design and the overall ambiance make it feel more like a luxury experience than just a store. Stepping inside, you immediately feel the elegance and exclusivity. The layout is spacious, the displays are immaculate, and every detail is carefully curated to reflect the brand’s prestige. The service was top-notch, with staff offering attentive and personalized assistance without being overbearing. Honestly, this is the kind of place that reminds you luxury is on another level. If you appreciate high-end fashion and craftsmanship, visiting this store is a must, even if just to admire the beauty of it all!

We went there only to find out it was too late to get in. So went again the next day at 6:30pm thinking there is plenty of time before 8pm closing time. We lined up for 1 hour and got in at 7:30pm. The staff were great and champagne was offered. However they didn't have my shoes sizes for many items and at 8pm, we were told we had to leave. You need to book a time if you want to visit the shop or make sure you go early!

Google
You will wait in line probably to get in. Who knows how long. Expert tip: if you are there for a hot stamp or personalization, you enter from the back of the store and the people inside will give you access to go to the 4th floor. Once you’re done there you can ask them to return to the store and go in that way without the wait. The store is beautiful. Every detail from the displays to the VIP customer service everyone receives is outstanding. Treat yo-self.

We came in here while visiting the area, because I guess “when in Rome”… a little underwhelming when it comes to the selection. Too much of the same design copy pasted over every possible accessory imaginable. The store is cool otherwise. I don’t imagine justifying paying thousands of dollars for something that probably cost 20$ to make.

Yelp
I reserved a free tour for a Sunday around 4:30pm. I made the reservation about an hour before the scheduled time on the day of. There was no line to get in. However, I went on a day it was not busy. Not everyone will have this experience. There is a reason why they have time slots for the tour and access to the gift shop. Once you walk through the tour, you will find yourself in the gift shop where they have the chocolates and other goods. There is also access to the cafe. I really liked the short walk-through tour and chocolates. I will recommend this to my friends my family. Make sure you know what the expiration dates are on your chocolates. One box I purchased had a shelf life of 10 days, but it was absolutely amazing chocolate. All the other chocolate I purchased had a shelf life of like 2-3 months. Keep this in mind when you are purchasing these as gifts that land on certain dates. These are great gifts!

Yelp
Who doesn't love an LV?!?! There was a long line outside but believe me, the line moves quick, so don't be discouraged. Right when we walked in, they paired us up with a sales rep. His name was Jeremy and his assistant Lucy; he was knowledgeable and fun to talk to and he was training Lucy. We told him exactly what we were looking for and he brought out the purses. I fell in love with mine!! There were so many options with the purse I chose. It came with the leather strap and the original has the chain strap. It's a double purse that you can separate and you can use either or both attached, dress it up or use casual. I felt like I got a two for one type of deal!! And if you're visiting from another country, don't forget to show your passport for the tax back, which is a great deal!! You just have to remember to have it scanned before your flight!! Don't forget and you'll have your tax refund in about a week or so, they'll credit back your card you used. High-end product that's great value!! There are so many to choose from. Thanks LV for making us happy customers today!! We'll be back for sure when visiting Paris.

Yelp
I'm honestly a little confused by how to actually shop here. We passed by during their regular hours, but there were people being turned away from the door without even speaking to anyone. I'm not sure if they limit the number of guests or require an appointment, but the store did not seem very accessible. Regardless, this Louis Vuitton store is HUGE. Absolutely massive. We came across a few other locations during our visit, but this one is like something you've never seen before. Located on champs elysees, the gorgeous display outside is jaw dropping. Pro tip: if you are planning to take advantage of VAT tax, get to the airport early!! The VAT tax booth is located pre-security, so you have to do this before going through!

Yelp
Pictures say it all! Champion was delicious! LV has some of the most beautiful women in Paris working in the champs store! My wife went in wanting one purse and left with two! Probably the most time I have ever had going in debt at a Louis Vuitton store! Well worth the experience!

Yelp
We came here to buy a gift for Bae's mom. Ulysses helped us out. He was fluent in English and was able to provide excellent service. He was very patient with us as we went through multiple purses. He was able to help us find a specific bag that was the last one in stock. Very thankful. The one we got was about $2,350 with two tone brown. First time for me to be in such an expensive spot. Definitely recommend Ulysses when shopping here . Ig@blacktigereats

Yelp
Huuuuuuuuuuuuumangus store!!!!!! Wow oh wow! Love the high-end fashion! It was fun to window shop. I mean Louis Vuitton in Paris!?!? I think Yes lol So the prices for Louis Vuitton are always high, because it is high end fashion items. But the prices seemed steep for the norm. I don't know. Maybe I am just a dumb American and don't know pricing in Europe? But I expected priced to be lower not higher. It seemed like the prices were more than what they should be. Did inflation hit Europe too? What's happening here? I just window shopped. I'm not gonna spend 4k for a small bag. No thanks. lol It was still fun to check out the bags and wallets. This store is really big! There are different floors and everything. If you are wanting to buy something Louis Vuitton, you will surely find it here! No way you couldn't. They have a huge selection.

Yelp
LV is the standard for high end merchandise. With their signature bags to all their accessories, LV has always commanded a high value for their items. Since Covid they have nearly doubled the price. A bag that cost $1800 in 2019 is now priced at $3200. This store is their flagship store in Paris. It is a 7 story monolith to LV and is wonder to see. The bottom 3 floors are open to the public. The rest are reserved for other business purposes. The selection they offer is varied from day-to-day. They carry nearly 80% of the items that are in their catalog but due to the sheer volume and space they only show about 40% of them. The services is impeccable if you can find a sales person. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by sales manager. He will usually let you walk the store or assign you a sales person. The sales person's job is to speak with you and understand your needs so that they can provide you with different options. They don't have every bag in every color, so be prepared. I witnessed many people disappointed. If you go in here with an open mind, you might find something very unique. In general, it's just an amazing store to visit to enjoy the product selection.

Gus C.

Yelp
Horrible service and horrible management. They should treat their customers better. A sales rep simply yelled out that the manager is handling the clients when I asked for assistance. Looks like her "frenchy" attitude came to light. This might be a one off, but the manager who's seems clueless is also not helpful. Avoid this location. Go to London, Rome or Miami. The one in Paris has very bad service.

Yelp
Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes in the light rain on a Tuesday afternoon. The workers were kind enough to offer black umbrellas while we stood outside waiting to get inside. This is the flagship store and is the store that is next to the LV hotel that is currently being built. It is 4 stories and they offer selections of LV that other stores do not have. Out sales consultant was named Emma and she was amazing. She walked us through everything that we wanted to see. She was funny, patient, fluent in multiple languages, and never tried to force/upsell any items. She was attentive and really listened and valued our input. We ended up with a few items and she assisted with the tax free paper forms as well.

Yelp
Another fantastic shopping experience! Book a date and time with your sales advisor in advance and skip the whole line. Of note, you only get 12% back as a VAT refund (not the full 20% as others have written in their reviews). Be sure to bring your passport and allow extra time at the airport to complete the process. The company that processes the VAT refunds takes a cut of your refund. It's still an amazing deal vs the US, though! We found almost everything we were looking for plus a few items we didn't even know about. Definitely visit here if you're visiting and a fan of LV!

Jojo K.

Yelp
Shady staff. I came in asking for a return, they asked me to wait until the end after we made purchases, so everyone purchased and then they told me that I had to exchange, I could have done easily via my friends. What a bunch of weasels. I will never buy anything from LV ever again.
google avatar

Yelp
We attended LV Dream (free, but you need reservations) and my style-crazed teen had to get a pastry with a Vuitton logo on it, OK buddy, this is for you. The pastry was like 19 euros but his cappuccino did have a logo stenciled on it. My pot of tea was a fail. 9 euros and they give you a tea bag on the side with a pot of hot water? Seriously? This place is ONLY for Instagramming, not for a meaningful culinary experience.

Yelp
If you are a Louis Vuitton fan then this is the Mecca of LV on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. I have been to this location on many occasions and each time the service, selection, customer and experience is impeccable. When you walk up to the Louis Vuitton store, it's like you're walking into a modern museum with the decor to rival many high end brand designers. There will always be a queue outside of the store but the door attendant and staff do a great job in moving the line along When you enter, you have truly entered into Louis Vuitton heaven with 5 floors of luxury and everything LV imaginable. It's a wise idea to know ahead of time what you're looking for and to know if they have it in stock. This will save you time. As a US visitor or non EU resident, you're eligible to receive a VAT refund of 20%. In my case I was able to buy an item for $500 less than in the United States and then get an additional 20% off. This location is constantly busy but and the customer service was impeccable and everything you'd expect from their flagship store. A word of caution, because LV never goes on sale, be careful not to break your wallet because you can easily drop thousands of dollars in less than an hour since the prices are much lower here than in the United States. Enjoy!

Tena L.

Yelp
To be honest, I'm not really sure how to shop here. During typical business hours, we were passing by, but some folks were being turned away from the entrance without even exchanging pleasantries. I'm not sure whether they have a visitor cap or if an appointment is necessary, but the store didn't appear particularly accessible. (https://buyozempiconlinecanada.com/)

Yelp
They say this is the flagship store. The store has a lot of inventories. You will find most of the latest edition which is sold out in other stores. There is a line to get in. The wait time depends on the time of the day you go and the month. We were there early June. It's not summer yet but it's busy already. Best to come as soon as they open for shorter line.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
You have to wait in line to get in if you didn't make an appointment, but as long as you know what you want and come early, this can be a fun experience. I came on a Saturday around 6pm. It had just rained, so maybe that is why the line was a 30 minute wait. I had my passport, because you'll need it to qualify for a tax refund. When I entered the store, I was asked what I was looking for. I already knew what I wanted, so I was quickly assigned a sales representative to personally help me. I was offered a drink, but didn't take one. The items I was wanted were not in stock, because I was told the good stuff sells out by the afternoon sometimes, so I was suggested alternatives, which I got. I did have to wait on the sales rep to find the items and before I went to the register, I had to sign up for a Louis Vuitton account. The checkout took some time, because they needed to process my passport and prepare the tax refund documents, so just note that a trip here is an experience. Nothing quick.

Yelp
I had a great experience visiting this store in my most recent visit to Paris, the place is huge and so busy that I had to make line for about 15 min. to enter the store. I made a mistake of not getting someone to help me when I arrived to the store the firs time and it was a mission to get one because the store was packed but we finally got one and it was very helpful. The second time was a lot better since I pretty much had an idea of what I wanted. I can't wait to go back to Paris and visit this and many other stores
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service after spending thousands of dollars here. I waited in line outside in the cold for over an hour and when I got inside, I had to wait about 20 more minutes for an advisor. I didn't mind the wait because I understand it was pretty busy. I finally got to an advisor and they didn't have the bag I wanted. I wanted her to give me recommendations that were similar to that style or any styles that were timeless/classic. She showed me a bag that was a size bigger than the one I wanted. She also tried showing me another bag, but she couldn't find it. I'm not sure why they make the advisors look for the bag when there are stock people. Seemed very unorganized. I also wanted to compare the different sizes of the bag (the one she gave me and the one I wanted) and 4-5 workers started freaking out, saying I couldn't touch the display. First of all, if you don't want people to touch the display, put a sign saying, "DO NOT TOUCH." Second of all, I was going to buy one of the bags I was checking out anyway. I just wanted to see the size comparison. The advisor was not there to help me look at it because she was trying to look for the other bag. Extremely rude service. I went to Chanel the other day and everyone was super friendly. They let me touch and even try on the bags. Service here versus Chanel is like night and day. I guess I expected top notch service like Chanel gave me, so I was quite disappointed. The Louis Vuitton back home gives better service than here too. I don't know if it's because of the way I was dressed? Felt extremely discriminated here. Wasn't even offered water after making a $5000+ purchase. I felt like I was shopping at a Forever21 and not a high end store lol. I also wanted them to hold my items at the store after I paid because I was going to travel around Europe. At this point, I wasn't even surprised when the advisor told me they don't offer this service. She said this is a "buy and sell store" or something like that. Interesting how Chanel gladly held my items for me with no issues at all. Chanel showed me what a high end store service should be like and then I come to this poor Louis Vuitton location. After reading Misti E.'s review, I definitely think they were discriminating me based on the way I was dressed. I was actually dressed in warm clothes, so they were not the nicest. I was expecting to be waiting outside in the cold so I needed to dress warm. I've been in sales for most of my life, so I know better than to discriminate customers based on what they wear. Now I really wish I spent my money elsewhere.

Yelp
I've been in love with this company ever since the 80's when I was still in grade school and jobless, LOL. I saved my allowance and bought a few pieces, all from the Ala Moana Center location in Honolulu, HI. Of course I had to at least peek inside this flagship store when we were in Paris!? Was I going to purchase anything? Of course not. Why would I when the Euro was about 1.5 times higher than the US Dollar? I can buy it back home on Maui for less. We were walking around the famed Champs-Élysées and came upon this behemoth of a "boutique". My gawd, it's an entire building. It takes up and entire city block on all four sides. It's six or seven levels high. It looks like a department store, bank, museum, and corporate HQ all-in-one. Naturally there was a line to get inside, full of curious people like myself. Once inside, it was simply gorgeous. Soaring high ceilings, beautiful decor, inventory as far as the eye could see, and of course that smell of fake leather, real leather and richness, LOL. I'm not sure what was on the upper levels (probably offices) as we didn't stay long because we were in Paris for crying out loud! So much more to see... My dream is to own a vintage trunk just to display and gawk at. Anyone got $25K laying around?
google avatar

Adrienne G.

Yelp
Never did I think I'd actually wait in line to shop in any store but when all over the entirety of Europe did we see lines to get into Louis Vuitton, I knew what was coming And being a flagship store right on Champs Elysees, yup, big huge line. But the difference here was that I knew a bag I was hunting was only at this store so Mr & I had to get inside so we waited......for 20 min outside And I make the distinction of outside because we also waited another 20 min inside to be assisted.....and this was after placing our names on a waiting list. At least we got champagne while we waited Finally, the salesperson comes over and I'm shown the display model of one of the bags I was hunting.....which I'd already fondled myself. Uh, isn't there a pristine one in the back you could bring out since I *am* purchasing? And after asking about another bag, it is confirmed that they have the last one, in the entire world & of course I loved it..... So as it was Xmas, I decided to get both. I'd been a very good girl all year And of course, as with every LV store, they try to up sell you on their "exotic"pieces....nope. Not interested but we went through the motions & took a look Finally we are getting ready to leave and I had to specifically ask about delivery. Vendome does it & I'm not the kind of person who likes to schlepp big heavy bags all over the city, begging to be robbed. Would have been nice if they'd asked me first but they did agree to drop our purchases at the hotel so it all worked out So for being the flagship store, this met my expectations but they *did* have the 2 bags I was seeking so that has to make me a fan

Yelp
I love Louis Vuitton and the selection was good if you don't see it ask they probably have it. The quality is great and the service is amazing

Yelp
Shopping in paris for my first Louis Vuitton bag...is this real life? Ive been reading about the bad reviews of the long waits but we lucked out and the queue was about...15 minutes? On a Saturday at 4pm...so that was great. The line seemed long, but went pretty quick The workers there are pretty attentive. Offered drinks once someone got their hooks into you. Very patient as you look through everything. Comparing prices. Granted I'm going to be spending that much money and didn't want to just buy anything, the worker was very patient and helpful as he chatted up my bf. If there's something you want and they dont have, they can order it...but given it's the flagship store, they'll most likely have a lot of the options In the end as you check out, they help you with your VAT forms that you just drop off at the airport when you leave the UK to get some of your taxes you paid back...just make sure to have your passport with you (or for any purchases you do in Europe and want VAT return...you need your passport) I'd highly recommending purchasing a LV this way if you're every in paris and want a LV product. MUCH cheaper than buying in the states

Yelp
When in Paris visit Louis Vuitton. And visit this location in Champs-Elysées. And if possible get Imen (employee's name) to assist you. So I have been to Paris a couple of times in the past few years and no trip is done until I stop and shop here. Why I love this location so much: - Service is always phenomenal and over the top amazing. Imen knew I wanted a specific color combination for a crossbody. This location had sold out of it and she was able to get it delivered from another location for me. - This is their flagship store and has the most variety I have seen. They have their merchandise showcased in the most season appropriate manner. I love merchandising windows that bring out a story and this store never disappoints. And therefore so many tourists take photos with the outside windows of product. - Price also makes me want to shop in this location compared to U.S. VAT refund is awesome. 12 percent off in credit card is awesome reduction in price. **^I already know that I will be making a trip to LV in Paris next year. ~

Antonio B.

Yelp
Julia was amazing! I will definitely be back before the end of the year! The store was stocked with goodies that I guarantee you'll not see in the US!

Yelp
Loved shopping at the original LV store! It was quite busy when we came, and there was a line at the door but it went quickly. Got offered champagne when they realized I wanted to buy something and wasn't just browsing, and picked up the Neverfull I wanted. I was worried it would be out of stock, but they were stocked pretty well! It is cheaper to buy it in Paris than the US for me, but check your prices and your exchange rate (can go to LV France website and your country's website and compare.) Bring your passport if you're eligible for detax! The LV customer service lady was so nice and helped with the form. Scan and drop off form at the airport, pretty easy. I could choose between getting ~10% back in cash or ~12% back on my credit card. I chose credit card for ease, and I'm glad I did because the line to get cash at CDG was long. I would definitely recommend this store!

Yelp
I have always been a Gucci person but after visiting the Louis Vuitton store, I am obsessed. The entire experience was amazing. The customer service was amazing, the staff were courteous, the selection was large, the building is two floors, elegant and nicely decorated. I felt appreciated unlike the service I've received at the McLean Virginia, Galleria location where many of the sales associates are arrogant and aloft. I guess they forgot they work for you.

Yelp
If you are thinking of buying some from Louis and you're in Paris, then this location is the place to do so. Not only is it huge, but they have a large amount of reps working. Had to wait roughly about 15-20 minutes to get inside, but the wait was worth it. Biggest recommendation is to bring your passport. If you don't no worries, you can place a reservation on your order (Which is what my fiancé did). I took my fiancé to Louis to see what they had, and spoil her with an engagement gift. The service and attention we received was outstanding. We were offered drinks, and they brought all the handbags/purses my fiancé requested without any hesitation. Liked I mentioned before we had to come back the next day with my passport so I can get my VAT refund form. Came in, looked around, and my fiance decided to go with her original decision. Our representative did ask her if she wanted her wallet embroidered. Took less than 5 minutes and came out exactly the way she wanted. Cherry on top is that her bag was 30-40% cheaper than buying in the US.

Yelp
FUN FACT: (you may or may not know) Contrary to popular belief, the monogram LV print is not "the original" or "classic print" the Damier ebene or brown checkered print is; and it was not designed by Louis Vuitton himself. It was actually designed by his son, Georges. Louis had know knowledge of the LV monogram print whatsoever. People think the brown checkered print is newer because production of the print stopped for 60 years and production of the print began again in the 90's. Thanks to my sales associate Raphael I am more knowledgeable in the brand. After waiting a while to get helped by the floor manager assigned him to me. He was very helpful in getting the items I wanted in the different possible prints and colors without problems. He also brought out other pieces (you know sales tactic) to entice me to buy them. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. I ended up walking away with a never full, daily pouch, and a pocket organizer. He packed up my goodies and also offered hot stamp personalization on my items. I have never done it so I absolutely said yes. We went to the hot stamp area where you get to select the size, color, placement and of course letters you want on your new fabulous piece. The best part is they do it right there in front of you. I have heard stories where you are required to wait a week until you get this done at other LV locations.

Alex S.

Yelp
The salesperson was nice and patient, but our whole experience was ruined by one very rude woman at the checkout counter. She had a terrible attitude and acted very condescendingly towards us. You would think at an upscale store we would receive good service, but obviously not as demonstrated by her.
google avatar

Rom P.

Yelp
My wife said that we have to stop by here on this trip... well we did! My first impression was that it will be the same store as the U.S. I was wrong, once you get in you are greeted by a hostess that directs you to a sales associate. On this particular day the store was very busy so we had to wait a little bit before someone could help us. My wife already knew what she wanted and so all she had to do was show Vincent, the person assigned to help us. Vincent politely told us that they sold out on what she wanted. I had asked Vincent if they had anything comparable, they did. Vimcent went to prepare purchase and he asked us if we wanted some beverage... my wife had champagne and I had an espresso. The staff were customer focused and this made it worthwhile.

Yelp
Best Louis Vuitton store in the world.... Really... Justine is wonderful and could be the lead sales woman at any couture fashion store in the world! The variety is dizzying and they have accessories you can't find anywhere else!!!! Show me the Monet!!! P.S. The secret to having a good experience is ask for someone to help you when you first get in the store!!!

Yelp
The best louis store in the world hands down because it's Paris duh ! I was so in love as soon as I walked in the decor and all the products it's a girls fantasy. There's 4 floors so don't get lost! I had the pleasure of being shown around the store and many friendly workers greeted me with smiles and bonjour's. You can get something repaired here if you need to but the guy who does the repairs is only in once a week so you might have to leave your item there. No they don't ship it to you either. The best part of the store was the Damier stairs and walls it really caught my eye. 150 percent will be back

Yelp
I will make it a point to purchase something from this LV store every time I go to Paris. I went in a couple of times the first time I was in Paris and again my second time. Each experience was wonderful and smooth. Sure, there are lines but it's never too long. When it's raining, they will provide people in line with an umbrella. I think this small gesture is very considerate! Once inside, you may have to wait as the sales associate assist the clients one on one. They have a great inventory and nothing that I've ever wanted has been out of stock (except the inverted pochette metis!) They will offer you drinks (champagne, coffee, water, juice etc.) while you shop and it's served on a cute little tray. The sales associate are not snobby at all (even when I walked in wearing a red flannel, short shorts and flip flops)! They are friendly and knowledgeable in the products, the history of LV and the VAT refund process.

Yelp
Visiting and purchasing from the flagship are what my designer dreams were made of. After standing in a 5 min line to enter the store, we browsed for browsing sake then set to the task at hand- the items on my list. I can prepared, with prices for the items I wanted to buy, and I highly suggest you come in knowing exactly what you want. The sales people are extremely busy as this location is bursting with sales, and they honestly dont have time for you to have a Bfast in Tiffanys moment browsing and asking to see every bag. So come knowing what you want. I waited about 20 mins for a sales associate to help me. Gabriele was a handsome and very French sort of man, and was exactly the type of French experience I was expecting. Curt, butler style, with the accent of course :). Once I approved the items, he took them to be wrapped and started working on my VAT tax forms. Purchasing from a lux store is very helpful, and I barely needed to do anything on the forms before turning them into the airport as I left Paris. If you are unfamiliar with VAT, it's a tax EU resid pay, but USA can file to get a percentage of it back. This makes a difference if you spend thousands of dollars! Overall, champs and all- very fun! Beats all my LV experiences in USA.

Yelp
It's a bucket list to shop here at this specific location. It's a long line to get in due to the high demand and limited personal shoppers but it's worth the wait if you do decide to shop here for an item. They have everything you'd ever imagine. I noticed more clothes and accessories than your regular LV store. It's about 4-5 levels of just everything. We did indeed buy something and it was the grand prize. My fiancée bought their only XXL City Steamer travel bag. We sipped champagne while waiting and toasted to our buy. The bag brought lots of attention; women coming up to us wanting and looking for the bag. It was THE ONLY ONE available. So lucky!

Yelp
Visitors: plan on bringing your passport so that they can take care of your vat paperwork right on the spot! -also if you already know what you'd like to buy take pix and have the item ready for the SA.. they will let you know if they even have it here! Yes as of 11-2017 we did save money because of the lower euro exchange and the vat. .83 to 1.00 You will need to check this when you plan on visiting. Yes this place is crazy.. tons of mainland Chinese tourists come in.. almost looks like tour busses drop them off... (then a mix of other country visitors) so I found some will push you, bump you, or grab things right in front of you with no regard to saying excuse me/or saying I'm sorry. Maybe cultural but its still extremely rude. It does tend to change the overall shopping experience here I found. -i came on a sunday morning around 11am and no line but super busy already inside. Note: this will not be the slower pace service you maybe used to in a usa based store... so get over it or just visit their other locations not on the main drag. Dont plan to pop in/out either as the SA's have to go between floors to chase down what you are looking for. There are 3-4 LV's around the city (yelp or google search before you come). The one in the mall is equally crazy so be mindful of that also.. and the wait for the vat paperwork Ive heard is a long wait. For many this location is an "attraction" so treat it as such... like being at any site in paris there is tons of tourists. All the staff (besides the tight security) seems to be running up/down finding stock, items, etc. I did a once over from the top to the bottom of the store, then found a staff who found a SA for me. Marc was delightful... looked up what stock he had that I wanted... -didnt rush me.. we looked at 10-15 pieces -he offered some pink champs as we we waited for him to track down a new piece I was looking for. Ended up getting a few things. -VAT paperwork was a breeze, offered free monogram which I declined. -he also offered to send my items via delivery service to our hotel (we ended up just calling an uber so we didnt stick out). Uber is super easy here and for the time savings to get picked up or dropped off anywhere its a huge plus! Note: Many of the classic lv monogram are actually made in Spain here at least when I came (Nov 2017). -So if you are coming and wanting your piece to say "made in paris" then you may have to look at other store stock or seriously just buy them back in the usa if that is important to you. -it was for me so some pieces I declined to purchase. Overall I was happy with visiting THE store and my purchases. When in Paris......

Yelp
The Louis Vuitton location at the Champs Elysees is the flagship location of this store in the world. When protests hit Paris this store was targeted for a reason. It's literally mobbed with tourists looking to get a hand on one of their thousands of products in the store. We were staying a couple of minutes from this store and I am glad we weren't far away as it took at least 8 visits for Rabia J to finally get what she wanted. They special ordered a purse for her and it ended up taking 2 days and several delays for it to arrive. In the meantime we were able to experience luxury at its finest and by the time we made our last visit we were regulars at this store and everyone pretty much knew who we were. They offered orange juices, coffee latte and water on different stops at the store. 5 star all the way. Great customer service and an excellent product.

Yelp
You will wait in line and this store doubles as a tourist attraction. It's extremely crowded inside and actually pretty hard to get customer service. At least it was for us. I knew the bag I wanted and we toured the store first. On the way we found a pair of sunglasses in the men's section and had to ask a security guard to get us help from someone. The sales associate acted like we should be happy to use his time. We ended up leaving and going to another local LV where we got prompt and cheerful service to purchase a great bag. You can't argue the beauty of this store, but for my first 2k bag purchase I wanted great service too! Champs-Elysses fell short in my book.

Yelp
Mr. Louis Vuitton himself would be disappointed to hear about my experience. I came in at opening when there was no line and I walked in to wait for someone to check out wallets. Nobody would help me or even try to find someone to help me. Yet, there were associates in the store yapping away with each other and completely ignored me. I totally understand the Parisian behavior, but to be treated this way at a "luxury store," especially one that should be catering to tourists is disgusting. I walked over to Hermès instead and the place was absolutely packed. I thought there was no way I was going to get help, but someone immediately greeted me and gave me 1:1 help straightaway. I bought a beautiful epsom wallet there and they were very helpful in walking through the process to claim VAT. So yes, even in Paris, customer service exists, just not at LV. Because of this terrible experience at LV I vowed to myself never to buy any LVMH branded stuff. I was looking at picking up a Zenith watch, but once I found out they were part of the LVMH "family" it immediately got thrown out of consideration.

Yelp
Crowded, aloof, rude. Would not return our purchase anything. No couture is worth this.

Yelp
Rayhane H. Most rude salesperson I have ever had to deal with if you go to this store avoid this person at all cost doesn't deserve to work there ruined my Paris Louis Vuitton experience I would rather pay more money in America than deal with her. The absolute worst salesperson Should be fired from this job bad example for the company will never shop here again would give no stars if I could if upper management can see this please fire her such a bad representation of your company

Yelp
I came mid-day, and the line was only about 15 mins, and the stock was still pretty good. Definitely would advise going earlier to get what you want. My friend and I went to another LV at the Lafayette mall, and after 30 mins, the line didn't move so we ended up just leaving. I would definitely check this LV first. Mélina is absolutely amazing. She was extremely patient with my friend and I, showing us all options from small key chain wallets to big bags. She spent over two hours ensuring we got the right products / colors. Additionally, we didn't know we needed our passports, so she put our items on hold, made us an appointment to come back, and even saw an item we wanted later in the day, and put it on hold since it was the last one (without even asking). Then, she texted me the next morning letting me know that some of the other items were available. Never had such amazing service in my life :)

Yelp
My friends and I were really disappointed in this LV flagship store. We came in and waited 30 minuets to have someone help us. We even sat down and saw someone who came before us get help super fast. When we asked a girl who worked the floor for help, she said we had to wait... when we said we were waiting and where can we ask, she said to ask her manager... which we ended up doing. He came and provided someone to help us. After waiting so long (and the store was closing) we were all turned off. They did give us champagne ... which was good...

Yelp
Was helped by Ambre. She never smiled didn't seem interested in helping me. I bought a couple of shoes and I asked her if she could fix the lace and she said no bc we have to fix it to our like long. I just wanted her to lace it so I try it on properly. Anyways, I went back a second time for purses and men's shoes and belt. There was a guy causing a scene in the men's department so the whole attention was directed to him. Lines weren't moving. I messaged Ambre for an appointment and she never responded. I messaged her again, her response was "Sorry". They can honestly hire monkeys who would get better service. Back home I will tell ppl to skip Louis Vuitton and do Chanel. I hear they take good care of their customers.

Yelp
11.14.19 After what happened to the other location, I've been telling my friend about this location bc this is where I made my purchase 5 years ago. Back then, service was on top notch. We were greeted and a salesperson came to assist us right the way and offered drinks. And there were a lot of people. Then this time, not only there's a line, we were only greeted at the door and that's it. It's like they're short staffed. All the sales were with someone but it wasn't as crowded as last time I was there. Then I heard there's a waiting list for the sales to help us. So I ask one of the guy to put us on the waiting list but there isn't actually a waiting list. It's just one of the guy keeping track of who's waiting. Wth... Then another guy told us to go upstairs but upstairs were mainly clothing and accessories sales and they won't help you on wallets or purses. You still need to be in the waiting list for the reason we were there for. Omg... My friend was lucky enough to flag some lady down. She said she'll go check the inventory and didn't come back until 30 mins later. My friend only asked her to check two wallets. Really? That takes 30 mins. I felt like she went on break and just kept you waiting. My friend ended to getting 3 wallets. I asked her to check 3 purses for me, they didn't have any of it in stock. Lol I can't even... Btw, no drinks whatsoever was being offered. Oh well, they don't deserve my money anyway.

Yelp
How can you come to Paris and not visit?! My husband and I came to Paris for a long weekend and decided I could splurge on my first LV. What better way to get your first LV than at the flagship store? We came when they first opened, so we didn't have to wait on a line to get in. The store is huge and immaculately kept. The sales people are helpful. I didn't get one of the manager's name, but he helped us and made sure we were comfy. Boalin was our sales person and she helped me find the perfect bag. We were offered beverages while we waited (coffee not champagne since it was too early). We were in and out in an hour. I definitely left as a happy customer.

Yelp
It was a cold snowy blustery day in February in Paris, France. Walking down Champs Elysee I see a 2 story LV store. I thought what's the harm in browsing. I'm NOT buying. Before you enter you walk on the red carpet and pass through a security check. Lucky me in the harsh weather - no one was in line. The store is beautifully laid out. They don't display all the goods. You have to ask for it & they wear gloves when handling the purses. Some of the staff are bilingual and quite helpful. There's no pressure to buy. As I was walking around the store I was texting my friend in California who was in Paris a few years prior. She was encouraging me to get a purse as she found it to be cheaper in Paris than in the US less VAT. Hard to believe. Louis Vuitton & cheap, an oxymoron. Great to be able to google anything anywhere so I started comparing US vs. Paris pricing and found that my friend was correct indeed. Converting Euros to US$, less VAT, It was cheaper in Paris. As I was looking at purses Phillipe a nice Frenchman offered me some Champagne, a powerful sales tool, hypnotic effect made me choose one I really liked a Croisette. As I was ready to buy I asked for the Valued Added Tax (VAT) refund document & learned that it's common & can be easily produced. You must present your passport to prove you're a visitor. Important tip: the VAT refund doc requires a Customs stamp when you exit the EU country. You must have the unused item with you to show Customs. Also look up EU VAT online for more info. Make sure you have enough time before your flight. Before I got on my flight home from London I got my docs stamped & was able to drop the stamped envelope at a post office box (Poste) in the airport. Cool thing happened. As I was looking for the Poste to mail my document I asked an employee at Gatwick where it was. Somehow started talking about my hometown Jacksonville & she got so excited as she was a Jaguars fan & was planning to visit to see a game. Small world indeed.

Yelp
One of the biggest Louis Vuitton stores in all of Europe, maybe even the world as it is the FlagShip store. Security and salespersons everywhere. Make sure you browse through the tops and bottoms of this store. Don't worry if you don't see what you are looking for as they will bring everything to you. These are experts in sales and they are here to serve and please. Don't forget to comp in on the free drinks ranging from soda, water to champagne. They are not in a hurry to rush you so take your time and relax. When you do decide to make a purchase and you are from overseas, make sure you bring your passport with you! They will fill out forms for you to get taxes back, either cash at the airport or two months later on your credit card statement. I chose the cash option in case, I have heard, they forget to refund you and you are on your own by then. My top picks are the bags: Damier speedy, Turenne PM monogram, and of course the wallets if you have left over spare change. It is way cheaper to buy here at the original mothership than to buy elsewhere in the world.

Yelp
Sales person was kind and helpful. However, when checking out the cashier was so rude and arrogant that I left the wallet I was buying on the counter and left. You would think a luxury brand would covet customer service. They don't.

Yelp
How can anyone not love this store? I'm a huge LV girl, and going here was on my bucket list. The price is about 30% less then in the USA. The selection is AMAZING. The people working are knowledgeable and in my case extra nice, perhaps because I speak French. (?) I was with my husband and two teenage sons. They weren't as psyched as I was but the people watching kept them busy. You see wealth from all over the world casually purchasing 50,80 thousand dollar purses! it's amazing to watch. I love this store. Viva le
