I had great experience at this custom journal shop. Sarah was wonderfully attentive—thoughtful, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me create something special. The craftsmanship and materials are stunning, and I was so impressed that they completed the custom journal within an hour without compromising on quality. The shop itself is tucked into a historic, cozy boutique shopping area with such a charming, intimate vibe—it feels like stepping into a little literary haven. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the care that went into every detail of the experience. I couldn’t be happier with the final product and will absolutely be returning in the future. Highly recommend for anyone who loves beautiful stationery and meaningful keepsakes.

Such a beautiful location, store, and experience!The staff member who helped me, Alex, was so patient and answered all my questions. All of the other staff I encountered were equally as lovely. They only let a certain number of people in the store at a time, so it doesn’t feel rushed or crowded. There are so many options, even more than the ones on display, so I recommend asking about anything you think about. It is definitely an investment though, and for good reason. The quality is unreal, and you will have it forever! I payed almost €200 for the smallest size journal with a charm and two engravings.After you pick everything for your journal they prepare it and you come back to pick it ip that day. Mine took an hour and a half, but it varies depending on if you got engravings. The will take it out of the bag and make sure everything looks right. Overall 10/10 experience! Amazing all around!

This was my very first big purchase in Paris and it did not disappoint. The sales attendant who helped me was kind and efficient, walking me through the entire customization process without rushing me, and making sure she understood my request completely before finalizing my order. I am so in love with the quality, color, size, and smell (!!!) of this journal. I can see the craftsmanship and I feel as if every penny spent equaled the highest standard in the industry, including the employees. Before ordering, I had a one-on-one video call with the team in Paris that was truly exceptional. Shipping was impressively fast, and unboxing my Ernest and Honore was a moment in itself. The craftsmanship is immediately evident; the leather feels substantial yet refined, and the structure strikes that perfect balance between elegance and durability. Journaling in them has already become a ritual. There's something grounding about putting pen to paper in a notebook that feels built to last. I'm especially looking forward to watching the leather develop its patina over time; knowing these will only get better with age makes the experience even more meaningful. I have been waiting so long for one of these journals and I’m so glad that i did. I decided to arrive an hour early and be first in line as I heard it could get pretty packed. This was a great decision because it most certainly did. I was greeted my Tala, who was amazing. Together with the help of Damien we created the most beautiful journal ever. Every detail is so well thought out and special. I never felt rushed and I thank them for that as this journal is not cheap, but so worth the investment. Once we finished I was given a time to return to pick up my new journal. Thank you Tala and Damien for such a wonderful experience. If you ever come to Florida you will be greeted with open arms.

I didn’t go to the store, i ordered online but it was still easy to do. I also love the finished project that i receivedThe quality is amazing and i know I’ll use this journal for a long time. I ordered the magnum in London Green with the flower portfolio, gold embossing, red cord and the charm on the front, the side charms are not from here. All in all it’s everything i could have wanted

I knew if I ever visited Paris that this was my #1 one thing to do! The initial visit was on a Thursday at around 1:30pm. There was no line and only one group in store at that time. *location was Pasage du Grand Cerf I want to say the person that helped me was named Eline, she was so wonderful! She was patient and we were the only people on the upper level. She was like: you can see your stuff here, take your coat off, take your time. Eline had initially asked if I knew what I wanted or wanted to take a look. This basically gets you started on picking your personal journal system. They go through steps with you: 1. Pick size of journal 2. Pick color 3. Specifically pick your leather 4. Pick the cord that goes around the journal 5. Pick charms 6. Option to engrave 7. Pick the cloth bag Once you go through the steps (can take as long as you need). They will let you know to return in about an hour and a half to pick up your item with a slip of paper- that’s how long it would take to combine everything, also can pick up next day. *of note you won’t have to line back up when you come back, just go through the door and give them the slip For those like me who are shopping from abroad- they do offer DETAX (tax refund) for any purchase above €100. Bring your actual passport and they can start the process. They use GLOBAL BLUE. On that day- they were not able to process it when I checked out and I forgot to ask for it when I got my journal. So I had to go back on Saturday. I also decided I wanted to get the passport size because who knows when I’d be back in Paris! Saturday was a different story! Long line, I waited about an hour- they did come out and suggest to visit their other location @ Galerie Vivienne because that one didn’t have a line. Once through, I had the same great customer service and was able to process the DETAX from my previous purchase. Overall I will say it is what you make out of the experience. Is it expensive, yes definitely but I think the quality and customer service was great! ~I have posted the prices for everything as of January 2026

I didn’t even know this store existed until about an hour before it was my turn to go in. When I arrived—half an hour before opening—there was already a line of around ten people. And I absolutely hate waiting in line at a store! While standing in line, I started looking it up and realized the store is hugely popular on Instagram and TikTok, and I had no idea. It turned out to be one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. You can choose the notebook size, the leather color, several variations of the same color with subtle differences in the leather treatment, the design, the color of the straps that wrap the notebook, how many inserts you want and what type and paper design they should have… you can even choose little charms to hang from it, although I didn’t pick any. I can’t remember the last time I felt so overwhelmed by something so simple. After you choose all the components, you walk around for a bit while they assemble your custom-made notebook, and then you come back later to pick it up. It’s a blend of “slow” and “special,” where you can truly appreciate handmade work meant for writing by hand. If you’re looking for a gift for someone who loves this kind of thing—or if you want to treat yourself—give this experience as a gift.
