I celebrated my birthday here and was treated like a queen! The staff was super friendly! Food and drinks were both good!

The customer service was extremely horrible. The worst I’ve had all year. We sat at the bar thinking we would be serviced quicker. Sat there for 10 minutes without the bartender even acknowledging us. Then I asked for the spicy margarita when he finally made it around and he gave me the drink without Tajin on the rim. I asked “hey where’s the tajin?” He said “you didn’t ask for it” I said “it’s described as being on the rim on the menu, I didn’t think I had to ask for it.” Food finally came and as you can see it’s topped with hella lettuce, cabbage, and cheese and other stuff. Barely any meat. I asked for La Crema sauce and they said “oh the kitchen forgot to tell me we didn’t have any today. I will NEVER go back there.

The food was good. They have many drinks to choice from. The atmosphere was great before it turned into a night club. It gets very packed and there was not much sitting unless you get a vip table

Google
A fun restaurant+lounge with great food, hot music, and Dia de los Muertos Vibes. Birria tacos, fried lobster skewers, and Henny Lamb Chops are my faves. A fresh cocktail menu, 20+ tequilas, and skull margaritas make it a great spot for a drink anytime.

Google
if i could give this place a negative -5 stars i would. Lets start with pros: Great ambiance cons: Absolutely horrible parking, Absolutely tremendous service and hospitality, Microwave food Substituted drinks with bottom shelf liquor overpriced for the grade of venue. this had been my 2nd visit within 3 months and they still ate trash! my first visit i figure everyone has off days but last night confirmed it’s just a horrible restaurant. let’s start with we had to park a half mile from venue, then we had a reservation and walked in to just the host saying to sit anywhere ! next we waited over 30 min just for a waitress to come to our table at that point we decided to order everything because who knew when she was coming back. My boyfriend ordered a captain morgan pina colada and they brought him a henny colada stating the menu is “supposed” to say hennessy instead. the food was very “pop in microwave “ tasting and overpriced needless to say please don’t waste your money here.

Atmosphere was great. Shrimp Fiesta tacos were so good. Don't waste your money on those fried lobster skewers. Drinks tasted water down. $18 for one frozen drink that was not good was a waste.

Google
It’s small and overpriced . No seating if you don’t get a booth. They tried to charge $40 yesterday. We went home instead

Google
Place seems disorganized. My girlfriend won a contest to get a free bottle. Was never told about the $50 gratuity before we showed up. Took 30 mins for them to give us our bottle. Place seems really fun but it’s also it’s completely unorganized. I really wanted to enjoy my experience and did however the place seems shady and acts like it. Will come back in 3 years and see if it gets any better. Should call John Tapper.

Yelp
For the price the food wasn't amazing - the service wasn't great because we went at a time where it was transitioning into a club? Very interesting concept and the execution needs some attention.

Yelp
I'm not one to complain. I'm a quiet and easy going person, however my most recent experience (10/14) at this establishment was regrettably distasteful. I won't bash this establishment, because it is very lively and the food is good. Although the communication could have been a lot better. If reservations were made after 11pm, and any patrons that arrive prior to 11pm had to leave by that time. We as consumer should've have known that walking in the door. We should not have been told we had until 11pm, but have management tell us something different 20min later. Further, in my opinion, harassed every five minutes following. I feel like we should've been notified that we as soon as we arrived as a courtesy to the patron. Because it really appeared as if this establishment took our money and then kicked us out! My first time at Love and Tequila Detroit, I thought was amazing. However this second visit has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Especially since I hyped this place up to my sisters. And their experience was ruined due to lack communication and professionalism. For future reference, simple communication and transparency can take you a long way! Just do better. Or if you find communication as confrontational, if there was something making reference on the company website that would save you a lot of miscommunication or lack there of.

Yelp
Went during the grand opening and it was super fun! If you're looking for a Latin night this is definitely your spot! The music was amazing and the drinks were delicious. I got the frozen skull and it was very good. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and made sure to check if I needed anything. Tequila, good music, and cerveza = a good time!

Yelp
Can you say Fuego!!!! Hitting the Detroit scene is Love and Tequila! I've been watching this spot transform into the hottest new spot in the city. I attended a soft opening, which was NOT a soft opening on St. Patrick's Day. This place was on slam and the best DJs in the city were spinning beats. Drinks were flowing and the city was wide awake! I attended the Shamrock Fest and then hopped over to the block party. I was so impressed with this place. You can see the time and effort that went into this venue from the lighting, murals, decor and overall layout. I can't wait to come back and try the food. The most exciting part is the lineup of DJs who will command this space. Located next to a sister venue, Brass Rail, Adams Street is most certainly the place to be!

Yelp
The atmosphere is nice. The menu is simple, it could be better the food is mediocre . Their drinks were watered down. I ordered a green tea drink and they charged me 2 dollars because he had to add another shot to make it a drink. I tasted no alcohol The waiter did not know the menu. I don't mind tipping, however they automatically charged 10.60 on a bill for 50 dollars and the waiter didn't deserve that. I was going to give him 5.00 but he didn't deserve 10z I will not be back

Yelp
Went here for cinco de Mayo had the spicy watermelon margarita and it was so good. Very spicy the watermelon was very subtle and the glass very cute and on theme. Friends ordered the passion fruit margarita and the mystic marvel . Mystic marvel was supposed to come with a glitter bomb but we didn't see any glitter and my friend was quite disappointed about that. I had the shrimp tacos they were phenomenal, the elote crema sauce was the perfect accompaniment to them. My girl had the birria tacos and we swapped one taco each, the shell was soooo crispy and perfect on the birria taco and the meat was seasoned very well. Service was not good at all. It's understandable that a Mexican and tequila restaurant would be super crowded on Cinco de Mayo but it's seems management there was clueless this would occur. The bar is huge and they only had two bartenders who appeared to be very overwhelmed by the crowd. One bartender was servicing only one small area of the bar and it was to the point I wondered if they were her friends because she was SUPER attentive to them while ignoring everybody else. We only were able to order food after sitting for about 30 minutes and asking a guy behind the bar (not sure what his role was but he was adamant he wasn't a bartender) to flag down one of the bartenders. The people next to us waited about 30-40 minutes trying to order their first drink in vain and eventually gave up and left. Also the bartender who made our drinks had a bad habit of making the drink, serving it to us and then at that moment telling us she was out of ingredients essential to the drink and "is that ok". She made us lemon drops and only after she gave them to us did she state she didn't have simple syrup...which is pretty essential; not sure what sweetener she did have but the drinks ended up being ok. Also when we ordered our first round of lemon drops we forget to specify the martini and she didn't ask so we ended up with lemon drop shots. So the next round we specified lemon drop martinis and after she made and presented them to us is when she said she was out of martini glasses and was that ok. It really wasn't because she gave them to us in the same kind of glass our shots were in and, to us, it only looked like a little more was in the glass. We expressed our concerns with her and she became argumentative with my friend to the point we had to end the conversation because it was getting heated.

Yelp
Went here with a couple of friends randomly for a night out. We had such a good time! There was a live DJ when we were there, and the music was really good. It's more of a place for a younger crowd looking to have a good time. They had a special on drinks so we got some, and they were very good and looked cute! Our server was also really nice. We also all got birria tacos and those were also so delicious! This is a really cool spot to go for a night out or before a concert/event! Great time!

Yelp
We went here before a concert in Detroit and absolutely loved everything about it!! From the music to the decor! The food was absolutely amazing, some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had. We even got the shrimp skewers, and they gave us such a generous portion. Everything was cooked to perfection. Jade was our waitress and did an amazing job! Definitely will be coming back

Yelp
it's very small club/bar and super crowded! but the foods are pretty delicious and i would love to order for the food that's all, i wouldn't stay there all the night, i decided end up in the annex since there's so much spaces in there.

Yelp
First and last time coming to this place first time visiting 3 tacos $17 tacos are regular street tacos not even seasoned then they let you build your own tacos but don't tell you it's a charge for every topping I end up getting 3 tacos and my bill was $30 I will never in my life go to this place ever again that is some sick stuff to charge $30 for 3 street tacos the owner should be ashamed of themselves because that is ridiculous!

Yelp
1st visit great atmosphere for 6pm on a Saturday. Bomb ass DJ. My Birria tacos very very good. However, this is a Mexican restaurant I did not expect the queso dip to be straight out a can (not even a jar) it was horrible to say the least. It don't take must to make a queso dip .... The horrible queso dip made the experience a 3out5. You really need a homemade queso dip coming from a Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
So far so good. I love this place I went twice and it's so fun and nice inside . I will return and continue to tell my friends to come

Sharina C.

Yelp
They took my chair when I went to the bathroom. My food had just come out, and I was actively eating it. It wasn't nobody there yet either. My friends were still sitting and eating. They said. They took your chair. I asked the girls up front. Where was my chair. And they said they take the chairs at a certain time. I said while a paying patron was eating? She said yes. I said them, "You must want ppl to leave without paying their bills then cause that's dumb. .. I told my friends we were leaving. Security started trying to keep me in the building. I said move you can't hold me in this establishment. They said you ain't pay your bill..I said... yes i did don't you see this reciept in my hand. They moved... but then another dumb ass security told the police I didn't. They arrested me . I had to curse everybody out... the cops and the cops lieutenant who arrested me said he apologize thry rookie got some false information. I said this place is ghetto. And I won't be back.

Deanna P.

Yelp
My first time coming. Service was good. I had Birria tacos which were excellent. My friends enjoyed their tacos as well. However....we ordered chips and queso and the queso was straight out of a can....not a jar...a can. They didn't even bother to try and doctor it. The DJ was ON POINT....but the music was a little too loud. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely return.

Yelp
Went with the gf to meet another couple. 20 dollar cover for both of us at 11p.m. Place was not busy after the Taylor Swift concert. Purchased 2 daiquiris for $45.00. The menu says $18.00 a piece. Maybe they added tip?

Leez M.

Yelp
I visited on opening day, when the place wasn't so packed. We stood at the unbusy bar for 15 minutes and watched 2 bartenders continually walk right past us, without waiting on us or at best saying "I'll be right with you". Only when I called out was I rudely approached, to which then we just left. Beautiful place and atmosphere, but some of the bartenders need additional training.

Yelp
This is the spot! especially the day party on Saturdays. Great food, drinks and vibes!!
