I visited Love Life Sweets again after a few years. They originally started as a chocolate shop and have since expanded their menu to include breakfast items and coffee. I went with my daughter for breakfast, excited to try them out .Unfortunately, for the prices, the food and drinks were very disappointing.
I specifically asked for two shots of espresso in my cappuccino because I like it strong. What I received was extremely milky and watery, with absolutely no coffee flavor. I mentioned it, and it was remade, but it tasted exactly the same. I couldn’t drink it at all.
The French toast/waffle was just average—nothing special. You really can’t go wrong with that, but it didn’t stand out.
The focaccia sandwich was the biggest letdown. While the flavor itself was okay, the bread was extremely soggy, making it feel like it was frozen and simply reheated. We didn’t want to waste it since we had already paid, but it was far from enjoyable.
To make matters worse, everything was served on tiny 6-inch disposable plates, which felt very cheap considering the price point.
We also tried a Danish, which again seemed frozen and microwaved, leaving it soggy and unappetizing.
The place itself is spacious and nice, and I really wanted to like it.. Sadly, the quality of food and coffee does not match the prices or the size of the space. Definitely will not be going back!
