This Is The No. 1 Glampground in the U.S.

"Set on more than 25 acres a little over an hour from Austin, this property pairs nature immersion with resort comforts: safari tents and geodesic domes sit on private wrap-around decks with built-in hammocks and sleeping areas with king beds and cozy linens. Units include a kitchenette (fridge, freezer, microwave, coffeemaker), a sitting area, a private bathroom with a marble-top double sink, flush toilet and clawfoot tub with shower, plus air conditioning and electricity. Guests can stargaze using standing telescopes—domes add a partially clear ceiling for widescreen sky views—explore walking trails, and visit an onsite pond frequented by songbirds, deer and occasional armadillos. Accommodations sleep up to four (two adults 12+ and two children 2–12); rates range roughly $269–$598 per night, and up to two dogs are permitted for an additional fee." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50. We had our eye on this place for the last year and finally decided to take our kids during fall break. We stayed in the safari tent 3 (the big one) and it was absolutely magical. The location and views were incredible- rolling hills outside the entrance to the tent. There was more than enough space for our toddler and school aged kids. The hot tub was great on a chilly night for looking at stars. My husband and I will go back for a date night and try the smaller geo domes. Notes for stay: coffee, tea, cocoa, filtered water are provided. We brought food to grill on the fire pit (down on ground level) and brought charcoal and wood. Plastic cutlery and plates/ bowls on site. The tent was plenty warm with the mini-split and cozy blankets. The tent is as luxurious as a tent could get! Hot water, cozy furniture, and appliances. At night the wind does flap the sides and supports so be prepared for noise to remind you that you are, in fact, camping.

What a great experience to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!!!! They have truly thought of everything you could want for glamping & then some. Welcome snacks, coffee, tea, heaters (it was actually chilly when we visited), heated towel rack!!! Especially liked that a few days before our visit a member of the team reached out to let us know they would help us with whatever we needed before & during our visit. Happy to report that we had absolutely no complaints or issues. Just some beautiful views for coffee time & sunset. Highly recommend!!!

Great Romantic getaway. We had such an amazing time and really enjoyed the hot tub. Everything was super clean and the hot water lasted forever which was surprising. Definitely coming back yearly.

Our stay at Loving Hearts Retreat was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, Laura, the host, made us feel right at home. She’s one of the kindest, most patient, and caring people we've met—she took the time to make sure we were completely settled in and comfortable, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. The setting is absolutely stunning. The tents and the dome are both peaceful sanctuaries, beautifully maintained and thoughtfully placed to take full advantage of the natural beauty around. We originally booked a tent but had to switch to the dome halfway through due to availability, and even that transition was handled seamlessly—Laura made sure everything was ready so we could move over without delay or hassle. Even though the dome had sustained some hail damage, it didn’t take away from its beauty. Waking up in the morning, looking out at the stillness of nature through the windows, was such a calming and unforgettable experience. What really blew us away was the attention to detail. Everything you might need is already there—ponytail holders, Q-tips, shampoo, body wash, creamer, coffee, plates—you name it. Every little item was so well thought out, which made us feel truly cared for. This retreat is a rare gem, and we can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

We just had the best girls getaway at Loving Heart Retreat! From the moment you drive onto the property, you quickly relax and feel the stress melting away. We stayed two nights in Dome #2 which was super cozy and stylishly outfitted. It’s situated near a small pond and has sweeping views of the Texas Hill Country. One morning we even spotted a wild turkey cutting through the area behind our dome. Booking was a breeze and the on-site property manager stays in contact with you during your stay in case you need anything. If you’re looking for a unique getaway not far from Marble Falls, this is it! Next time I’m staying in a safari tent so I can pretend I’m in the African Savanna!

I love, love the domes at Loving Hearts Retreat. The place was magical. We spent Mother's Day weekend there just relax and disconnecting from the city. The dome had everything we needed. The bathroom was amazing. Laura was a great host who made sure we had what we needed. She made sure flowers and a card was there to surprise my mother when we arrived. Thank you and we are definitely coming back!

We’re on the hunt for a place to celebrate our furry friend’s 5th birthday, and we’re thrilled to have found this gem in the beautiful hill country of Burnet, Texas! We had an absolute blast, taking some incredible pictures and making memories that will last a lifetime. We even booked our first dome, and we can’t wait to return and create more unforgettable moments here.

My boyfriend surprised me with a stay and it honestly blew me away. We stayed in one of the glamping tents, and it was way more comfortable than I expected—super clean, the bed was really cozy, and everything felt really thoughtfully set up. I loved how quiet and peaceful the area was, and we spent a lot of time just relaxing on the hammock and enjoying the view. It felt private but still had those little luxuries that made it feel special. Definitely one of the most relaxing weekends we’ve had in a while.

Yelp
100% unequivocally recommend, in the cooler months. We were looking for peace and zen and that is exactly what we got. Literally every single amenity you could think of that you might need and many you don't think of in such a stay was provided. Perfect! And it's a glamping dome The host was extremely responsive by text which I very much appreciated. The air conditioning in the tent got more than cold enough and then conversely, the heater lol at night was also needed. We stayed in the Uranus dome which sits just under Uranus at night. There even was a telescope for stargazing, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was amazing. The linens and towels were very nice. It has a Keurig, microwave, fridge, games, toiletries, a bt radio, fire pit, a huge deck with hammock, etc. I just couldn't have asked for more perfect stay unplugged serene stay.
