Low Head Pilot Station Accommodation

As a history buff I was so excited to stay here only to be extremely disappointed. We stayed in Boatman West and glad it was only for one night. The accommodation has the potential to be amazing but completely misses the mark. Examples of this include a beautiful front courtyard that would have been lovely to send time in however the old broken dirty plastic outdoor table turned me off completely, the inside couch desperately needs replacing, the tv doesn’t have reception, there isn’t even individual toiletries instead there is large domestic bottles sitting on the shower floor which is unhygienic, the floors also needed a good clean . There isn’t even a deal done with the museum for guests staying onsite and are charged full admission. To make matters worse we were also somehow double charged which was quite confusing since the accommodation was prepaid in advance and then manually charged by staff again two days before the stay. This place could be really amazing but isn’t give the love, attention or respect it deserves.

Well worth a visit to the maritime museum. Fantastic location. So many historical builds not only loving restored but being used at the same time.

We didn't stay here, but the accom looked really good. Definitely consider ot if we come back this way. It's a great place for a look around and the museum is really good. $5 for an adult ticket - great value and the older gents that 'work' there are good for a chat and some local info 😊 The coffee was good too.

This is a beautiful place. Extremely peaceful. The museum is very interesting, and has a wide range of subjects. Well worth the minimal entrance. The accommodation, was somewhat mixed. Reasonably comfortable, but in desperate need of some deep cleaning.

We had a lovely few days in Boatman’s East cottage. It was very well equipped with two bedrooms, lounge and separate dining room. The Pilots Station is a lovely historic site with a cafe and providore on site. |Dont miss the Penguin tour and visit the Maritime Museum . Would love to come back again for another visit.

Quiet, easy walking to amazing photographic areas. Suitable for families who could ride bicycles safely. A few minutes to the Penguin Tour, my third but definitely the best. Minutes also to East Beach which is stunningly beautiful.

A gorgeous location with quite dated accommodation. If you are expecting a modern stay this is not the accommodation for you. It is a dated kitchen with basic amenities and an older-style stove. The reading room overlooking the lighthouse and water is stunning and worth the stay for that alone.||The room configuration is not designed for more than one family (rooms are close together, zero soundproofing, small rooms etc.) so recommend either one family or very very close friends (no young children). ||The price point is reasonable and check in/ service was friendly. ||

The museum is an interesting little place full of fun and interactive stuff for kids too. Well maintained and easy to follow. |In general a good place to visit with children. The need to 200 characters means I have to write this but which is silly
