Easy on route ample parking for even a few larger campers/tourers. Dozen well placed picnic tables and chairs outside should you have a dog or wish to bask in the sun. Nice shop but would need to confirm items are locally sourced before being tempted to pay the price. Cafe staff are busy, friendly and very professional… tip jar needed. Coffee was really nice as was the breakfast overall. Very greasy chip wedges though.

We always try to pop into her before our long drive home after visiting the Lake District. The food is great (especially the sausage rolls and flapjacks). There's a really good selection of local products and nice scenery in the area. Of you time your visit right, you can watch the views being mild as well. Sometimes I wish we could spend some bit more time here exploring.

A great place to stop for food before reaching the lakes. I loved the shop and the farm food shop, everything was locally sourced and it looked great. The cafe was also lovely. The food had good generous portions - although the potatoes were very greasy and the coffee tasted burnt (perhaps the oat milk?) good toilets too.

Pulled in here looking for some dinner options on the back of a Kendal shopping trip. The chilled counter was well stocked with all the usual suspects (pies, cheeses etc) and with a good selection of veggies available too. The rest of the shop was filled with everything you would expect from a good farm shop. Upstairs for more crafts, gifts and a cafe rounded this one out nicely. Plenty of free parking available on site.

What an excellent place. Lots of different things to purchase in the shop and there's a cafe upstairs with a good range of food and drinks. Dark chocolate orange drink is a must . Plenty of parking but only a few disabled spots

Went here on Thursday based on the great reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to my hopes. Let's start positive: You have the unique opportunity to see where the cows are milked, and you can purchase raw milk right outside. There are also the absolute cutest little lambs nearby. Parking is easy, and there’s a lovely little nature walk to enjoy as well. To the café: The staff weren’t very attentive—more focused on chatting with each other, and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation before I could place my order. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did feel a bit like I was intruding. The menu on our table was really worn and outdated. I ordered the cinnamon and apple pancakes, only to be told they’re not available anymore. I went with the berry pancakes instead. When I checked a different menu it indeed didn’t list the apple option so my menu on the table was just old — this just felt like a lack of attention to detail. As for the food, the berries were clearly defrosted (very cold and unsweetened), and the pancakes were also cold and a bit dry, even with the cream and berries. Not awful, just a letdown for almost £10. Overall, the experience was just “not that great.” That said, lots of others seem to have had a better time here, so maybe I just caught it on an off day.

Brilliant Farm shop with a great selection of fresh and local produce. Cow milking at 3:30pm. Lovely cafe upstairs, outside seating area and a magic den downstairs

Stopped to grab coffees while our toddler napped in the car, and ended up spending half the day there! What an incredible place. The shop is so beautiful and sells scrumptious local items, the coffee is delightful and the raw milk ice cream is 💥💥💥 (highly recommend the lemon curd!). Once the toddler was up we did the farm trail, spent time on the stationary tractor and spent time eating ice cream on the lawn. It was a lovely way to spend the day and we’ve already recommended it to fellow visitors. Even picked up a litre of fresh raw milk from the vending machine which we’ve been enjoying this week. Gutted we missed out on trying the mint & lamb pies but all the more reason to come back!
