Went here on Thursday based on the great reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to my hopes. Let's start positive: You have the unique opportunity to see where the cows are milked, and you can purchase raw milk right outside. There are also the absolute cutest little lambs nearby. Parking is easy, and there’s a lovely little nature walk to enjoy as well. To the café: The staff weren’t very attentive—more focused on chatting with each other, and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation before I could place my order. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did feel a bit like I was intruding. The menu on our table was really worn and outdated. I ordered the cinnamon and apple pancakes, only to be told they’re not available anymore. I went with the berry pancakes instead. When I checked a different menu it indeed didn’t list the apple option so my menu on the table was just old — this just felt like a lack of attention to detail. As for the food, the berries were clearly defrosted (very cold and unsweetened), and the pancakes were also cold and a bit dry, even with the cream and berries. Not awful, just a letdown for almost £10. Overall, the experience was just “not that great.” That said, lots of others seem to have had a better time here, so maybe I just caught it on an off day.

Great place to visit and also to stay overnight. Stayed for 1 night with a campervan and enjoyed great food at the cafe whilst watching the cows being milked and also did the local walk which was very well sign posted. Sizergh castle and Stricklands Arms pub are within easy walking distance too.

Stopped to grab coffees while our toddler napped in the car, and ended up spending half the day there! What an incredible place. The shop is so beautiful and sells scrumptious local items, the coffee is delightful and the raw milk ice cream is 💥💥💥 (highly recommend the lemon curd!). Once the toddler was up we did the farm trail, spent time on the stationary tractor and spent time eating ice cream on the lawn. It was a lovely way to spend the day and we’ve already recommended it to fellow visitors. Even picked up a litre of fresh raw milk from the vending machine which we’ve been enjoying this week. Gutted we missed out on trying the mint & lamb pies but all the more reason to come back!

Farm shop and cafe with camping area. Nice farm shop with a variety of breads, cakes, cheeses, pies, chutneys, jams and drinks. Both indoor and outdoor areas for the cafe, although there are farm smells if you sit outside as you're next to the cow barn. Only real complaint is that you only get one slice of toast and have to buy drinks seperate from the breakfast.

A really lovely spot. It was our first time here but the coffee, from Carvetii in Keswick was delicious and the food was great quality and came out quickly. The staff were polite and efficient, there were no issues at all. Lots of parking and you can have a walk on the farm trail if you fancy it.

Delicious fresh soup - one of the best I have had - and bread. Coffee also excellent. Packed on the day with a long queue so no time to try a dessert. Outside cafe, the organic raw milk is exceptional, as are the homemade cakes which contain no additives or preservatives, just the necessary ingredients.

We visited this place while on our trip to Lake District. We really wanted something authentic and real farm shop and cafe. . And this place did not disappointed. Farm shop is very cute and welcoming. Food on offer was reasonably priced , good price for organic food which locally produced or produced in this farms. We have also bought 3 ltrs of raw milk. The cafe breakfast was soooo good. One of the best ones we had. Staff even allowed me to buy sausage roll from downstairs and bring it up so my toddler could have it. The eggs I had were delicious. The yolk were so yellow and fresh. You can also have a work around and go meet the cows. Touch them too. Beautiful place. P.S the portions are very big. Mine looks smaller as i simply could finish half of it :)

Low Sizergh Barn Shop is a charming, rustic spot with a lovely selection of local produce, cheeses, baked goods, and artisan treats. The quality is undeniable – everything feels thoughtfully sourced and beautifully presented. The attached café and farm atmosphere add to the experience, making it more than just a shop – it's a destination. That said, prices are on the higher side, which might not suit every budget. While you're paying for quality and a bit of the experience, it's worth noting that some items feel a little steep compared to similar local farm shops. Overall, it's a beautiful stop if you're in the area – especially for those who value well-curated products and supporting local makers. Just be prepared to spend a bit more than usual.
