Yelp
If you haven't been to Hilton Head Island in a while (or ever), I'm pleased to announce they have been busy! Some great changes have occurred throughout the island with the addition of some awesome new restaurants, hotels and the redevelopment of Shelter Cove and Coligny Beach Areas.
LOWCOUNTRY CELEBRATION PARK is a true gift to families with children, fur babies or anyone who loves the great outdoors. There are two gorgeous structures which I believe are restroom facilities, a huge building soon to house a children's museum (not yet open), a large central lawn great for future festivals and an AMAZING PLAY AREA for young children. The play area features a wading pond, play equipment, plenty of seating , shade canopies, sand areas, and a SUPER COOL PIRATE SHIP!!!
OFFICIAL FEATURES list:
* The Adventure Playground
named after the ship Captain William Hilton was on when he discovered Hilton Head Island which features a reimagined design of the ship, playground, wading pool and more.
* An Open Pavilion and Lawn for fun events and festivals.
* The Perimeter Walk subtly lighted for evening strolls around the park.
* The Setting Sun Sculpture
* Two Fitness Stations
* Wi-Fi
* Lights and Security Cameras
* The Sandbox Children's Museum (Scheduled to open early 2021)

FINAL THOUGHTS
A wonderful addition to the already amazing family friendly atmosphere of the island. The Pope Avenue side of the island is one of the most walkable areas when choosing your accommodations. Shopping, groceries, restaurants and beach access are all seconds from this park.
Hilton Head without a doubt is one of our favorite family destinations, and this new park is one of the many reasons we return, like Sea Turtles to their birthplace! ENJOY!
