Lower Barns

All I can say is WOW what an amazing place we had our wedding at Lower Barns and it was perfect. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious with a quirky homely touch but what makes this place special is Janie and Mike the masterminds behind everything. They make you so welcome, you instantly relax and have the best time. They are so thoughtful and are running an amazing business we already can't wait to go back. Our only regret is not staying on after the wedding I highly recommend staying a few extra days!

This was an amazing find a really beautiful place full of love and happiness. Mike and Janie are perfect hosts. We had such a relaxing time there and it is so close to many exciting places to visit. The coast line is a drive away but stunning. Janie and Mike do not put a time limit on your day. You can go out and come back and just sit and enjoy the gardens. Have a relaxing dip in the hot tub! Nothing is too much trouble for them. Cleanliness is 100%. We had the joy of wonderful weather and ate breakfast in the garden. Everyone we met there was delightful. If you need somewhere to get married alone or with some friends this is the place.

Our wedding was held at Lower Barns on Friday 11th April. I stayed in Cranny Suite the night before with my daughter. |The venue could have not looked any prettier. I was completely blown away with the decor and layout for our wedding and blessing. It just looked truly magical. |The stay was delightful, the suite is amazing, quirky , colourful , bright , spotlessly clean and so many added extras. |Janie and Mike are the most wonderful hosts their hospitality experience is just amazing. |The wedding day was so much more than I could have ever dreamed off , it really felt like a fairy tale. ||Thank you so much Janie and Mike for making our Day so incredible.

A super beautiful location, there is so much love in every detail. The rooms are cosy, everything you need is there. Little things everywhere, decorated with heart. The garden is a dream and wonderfully peaceful. You can feel the positive energy and can simply enjoy yourself. The breakfast was the best I had on this trip. So fresh and delicious. My absolute recommendation and keep up the good work 🙏🫶

My boyfriend and I visited Lower Barns for a Valentine's weekend and also to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived we adored Nook. Mike was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room (which is far more than just a room) was incredible. |In the bathroom there's a tub for two with a rainfall shower and toiletries, soft fluffy towels etc. The bed is huge and clad with the best quality cotton linen I've ever slept on. There are stunning quirky little touches everywhere. |Comfy sofa with a Roku TV and a folder of local information. A SMEG fridge contained milk, orange juice, fruit and yoghurt, and a cute little box of chocolates. |In the kitchen area there was a wider selection of tea and coffee than Sainsburys, along with cordials. Even the kettle was cool!|The sauna and hot tub made a potentially chilly evening extremely enjoyable and these guys are right when they say there's no light pollution. Lying in the hot tub stargazing up at the clear Cornish sky was pure bliss. I've never felt so relaxed as I did leaving Lower Barns and will most definitely be returning. |I've even taken their postcard adverts to distribute to colleagues and friends because everyone should know about this hidden gem of a place.

What an amazing place! So quiet we heard the dawn chorus every morning. The Cranny was beautifully decorated & appointed. It had everything we needed for our 3 night honeymoon stay. Janie & Mike were perfect hosts with Freda the dog providing an even warmer welcome. The breakfast was outstanding. On the outskirts of Mevagissey it was easy to explore the south coast beaches & towns. It was idyllic.

Lower Barns was a brilliant discovery when we were looking to stay near the Lost Gardens of Heligan , it is only just over a mile away .|Lower barns is a collection of unique suites beautifully furnished , superb beds and all set in glorious gardens . You will be looked after by the friendly owners , Janie and Mike , who do everything to make your stay very comfortable. Because it was a lovely sunny morning we were treated to our Scrumptious breakfast in the garden , everything you could wish for to start the day . We cannot recommend lower Barns highly enough .

We were recently married at Lower Barns and the experience was exceptional. The accommodation is outstanding, featuring quirky, charming décor with a welcoming atmosphere.||The ceremony and entire wedding day went seamlessly, thanks to the impeccable organisation and dedication of Mike and Janie. The Party Shed provided a great setting to unwind and celebrate following the ceremony.||Mike captured the most stunning photographs, perfectly capturing the memories of our special day. The food served was beautiful and full of flavour.||The warm, homely atmosphere allowed us to feel completely at ease throughout our stay. We are incredibly grateful to Janie and Mike for bringing our perfect wedding day to life and we cannot thank them enough.||Also a special mention to Janie’s sister, who provided great hospitality and Frida the dog, who was never far away!
