Luamey

From the moment we were warmly greeted by Will when we first arrived, right through to the end of our 2 week stay, Hotel Luamey was everything we expected and more. Will continued to be very attentive throughout our stay, and he was always ready to assist. Everything was ready for us on arrival, and the place was as beautiful as advertised. We had a terrace room (highly recommend!) with a great view of the pool. Breakfast was included, always delicious, and always served with a smile by Rosa. What a treat to be served breakfast on our terrace every morning! Johnny did a great job in maintaining the amazing pool and beatiful grounds, and helping us by answering our multitudes of questions about the area and the country in general. We ate several times at the restaurant (Barefoot) and can honestly say that every meal was as delicious as the one before. It offered a great variety of unique dishes. The location was also great....centrally located in Tamarindo, and minutes walk to the beach, the shops and restaurants. Mimi and Luis, the owners, have done a great job with Hotel Luamey! We had great conversations with them in the evening while enjoying a drink at the bar. They truly are great people! It was an incredibly relaxing, rejuvenating, and all around great experience. We are already planning a return trip!

I have been to CR three times and this was my fourth. This was by far the best experience because of the high quality service and accommodations we received at Luamey Boutique Hotel. The location is central and quick easy access to the beach just one block away! Our room was clean, very comfortable, and spacious. We had a private porch with a table for dining, a hammock for relaxing and a view of the beautiful landscape and pool. For our convenience, by our front door, was our very own outdoor shower to take a fresh rinse when returning from the beach. Honestly, there was no detail missing from this hotel! The restaurant staff and service was very accommodating and friendly. We ordered almost every menu option and all the food was fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back to Luamey and would highly recommend this hotel!

It was our first time in Tamarindo and luamey hotel but it will for sure not be the last. Super clean room, the pool was spotless, super friendly and helpful staff. The ambiance was incredible and the energy super positive. I highly recommend their restaurant,barefoot. The food was amazing. Everything had such a delicate touch to its taste and the presentation super appealingly. Our mouths watered just seeing the dishes come our way! don’t miss out on it! It’s definitely something you have to go experience!

We loved our 4 night stay and will be back. Never had to get back into our car after arriving. Walk to beach, shops & restaurants. Very impressed with the courteous staff, the room and bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was yummy and the pool very inviting with lots of areas to relax. We loved enjoying happy hour after a day at the beach. Cannot say enough about the personal service that “Will” proved for us. Very good value for the money.||Pura Vida Hotel Luamey! This place rocks!!!it is a paradise in paradise. Located in Tamarindo within short walk to stores and the beach. Hotel offers a sense of tranquility due to its nature settings. Its bar has a wide selection of liquors and beers. It’s restaurant is gourmet with a touch of Costa Rican taste. Rooms are ample and offer all the amenities of an American style hotel. The gardens within the hotel transport one to the Costa Rican beautiful nature settings giving one a sense of a pleasant atmosphere. Great place. Come, relax and enjoy this great place. You will be amazed!!!

It was my best stay here in Costa Rica. There is such a nice atmosphere and nice people to talk with. The owners of the hostel are always there if you need something. the location is very pretty, with the pool- area and the restaurant inside the hotel. It is 3 minutes away from the beach and directly located in the centrum of Tamarindo. My apartment was also very comfortable and I had nothing to worry about. All in all; Thank you so much for the nice stay and I really recommend everyone to give this hotel a try, it’s totally worth it!

My family and I come to Costa Rica a few times a year and since staying at hotel Luamey we won't go anywhere else. The environment is so relaxing with peaceful music playing all day and a fun band that comes on Saturdays. The customer service is unmatched and the restaurant has a lot of different vegetarian options which is nice. It's always an awesome stay here and we look forward to visiting again!

The reviews I read and the blogs were absolutely correct. This hotel is a real gem in the middle of what could be a real tourist area with all the trappings, thereof. Great hospitality, very clean rooms, lots of good restaurants close at hand, a couple of blocks from a white sand beach, wonderful, warm pool, breakfast served on the lanai.......what's not to like. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
