The hotel complex is stunning, perched on a hill giving you panoramic views of Luang Prabang. The staff here are all excellent! Everyone (reception, drivers/bellboys, restaurant etc) is always eager to help & always greeting you with a smile on their face. ||The breakfast is also one of the best, good quality while also providing variety on a daily basis. Everyone here also made sure to clean the dishes in a timely manner. The hotel is not in town & there’s not much within walking distance. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle into town every hour & also a pick-up every hour fifteen (2.15, 3.15, 4.15 etc). This was super useful & reliable. You only have to reserve this ~30 mins prior to departure. ||There are a few down points though. I booked a Standard Room & I believe these rooms are in a separate “complex” away from the reception. So, from your room, you have to cross the entrance / parking lot to get to main complex (where the reception, restaurant, pool etc are). Whereas, other rooms are all within the main complex. As a solo female traveller, I don’t necessarily feel safe within this separate complex. My balcony looked onto (I assume) people’s houses. ||As much as the hotel & surrounding complex are stunning, the Standard room was not very modern. The bedroom section was OK, however the bathroom needs an upgrade. There was a sewage smell that was strong & only disappeared when the aircon was turned on. Smell aside, the bathroom was just in a bad condition. Taps were leaking & spraying water everywhere when turned too high. The toilet looks very old & used. ||Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are what makes it amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I probably would return here but maybe upgrade to another room. I peeked at a few different rooms & they all look much much much nicer.
