The property enjoys a tranquil hilltop location. While not within walking distance of the city center, convenient hourly shuttle bus service is available during the day. The spacious room, though showing some age, is well-maintained and features a comfortable queen-size bed and two sofas. Breakfast could be enhanced to better align with comparable hotels in the region, based on our recent 40-day Asian itinerary. Overall, we found the hotel satisfactory, particularly appreciating the staff's exceptional courtesy.

When our guide in Vientiane asked us where we were saying in Luan Prabang, we mentioned this hotel and he said you’ve picked the best one in the city and he knew this because half of his family live here as locals. Fantastic 360 views of the town and the mountains beyond and just a superb location. Yes you may not like the French colonial decor if you’re used to high-rise steel soulless hotels, but this has a great feeling about it. Ignore “thuymimivuvu”. The rooms over to the car park take 24 seconds to walk to. It’s well lit. There’s loads of staff out front and a guy on the gate. It’s super safe. I’m talking about staff. What a really nice bunch of friendly and attentive people.

I had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this hotel. Located just an 8-minute drive from the vibrant city center, where the majority of tourist attractions come alive, it strikes the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The facilities were truly top-notch, offering everything I could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. My room was a delightful retreat, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, providing a cozy haven to relax after a day of exploring.

A fabulous stay with a bit of luxury thrown in. We arrived at the hotel and were offered an upgrade to our room for free. We were greeted with a very warm welcome. The facilities are great with a rooftop large pool and a wonderful view of Liamd Prabang valley. The hotel is about 1.5kms to the centre, however they offer a free shuttle service on the hour from early morning to late evening. Great breakfast and lots to choose fromWe will definitely come backThank you all for a lovely stayBlessings

My stay at Luangprabang view hotel years ago were always satisfied and i always chose to stay here whenever I visited Luangprabanh. However, my recent stay with my family in May 2025 were unacceptable. The last day of our stay, we came back from a waterfall and our 2 kids were sleeping in the car so we drove the car to park infront of our room to send them directly to the room so they did not wake up during we transfer to a goft car from the hotel to send us to the room. While we were packing for checking out (I was thinking of asking the hotel if we can extend 1hr more for checking out as our kids were tired from our early trip to the waterfall and still sleeping and the time we stayed there were not many guests staying in the hotel) there were already a car waiting to send us to the robbies and cleaners from the hotel waiting to clean the room. So, we had to wake up oir kids and rushing for checking out. No one called for pickup yet and I wondered how could that happened.

The hotel complex is stunning, perched on a hill giving you panoramic views of Luang Prabang. The staff here are all excellent! Everyone (reception, drivers/bellboys, restaurant etc) is always eager to help & always greeting you with a smile on their face. ||The breakfast is also one of the best, good quality while also providing variety on a daily basis. Everyone here also made sure to clean the dishes in a timely manner. The hotel is not in town & there’s not much within walking distance. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle into town every hour & also a pick-up every hour fifteen (2.15, 3.15, 4.15 etc). This was super useful & reliable. You only have to reserve this ~30 mins prior to departure. ||There are a few down points though. I booked a Standard Room & I believe these rooms are in a separate “complex” away from the reception. So, from your room, you have to cross the entrance / parking lot to get to main complex (where the reception, restaurant, pool etc are). Whereas, other rooms are all within the main complex. As a solo female traveller, I don’t necessarily feel safe within this separate complex. My balcony looked onto (I assume) people’s houses. ||As much as the hotel & surrounding complex are stunning, the Standard room was not very modern. The bedroom section was OK, however the bathroom needs an upgrade. There was a sewage smell that was strong & only disappeared when the aircon was turned on. Smell aside, the bathroom was just in a bad condition. Taps were leaking & spraying water everywhere when turned too high. The toilet looks very old & used. ||Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are what makes it amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I probably would return here but maybe upgrade to another room. I peeked at a few different rooms & they all look much much much nicer.

Absolutely loved our stay here, the pool is really nice and has an amazing view. There is also a nice small gym. Our room was lovely and looked much nicer in person than in photos, and had a great bath.

We had the opportunity to stay here as part of a NatGeo Journeys tour. The room was large, had a luxurious show and tub, and a small balcony that looked over the valley below. Breakfast was included, and it had a wonderful selection of foods from across the globe. And, the pool is absolutely incredible, both because of its infinity style and view. We played hooky from one morning’s activities to longer poolside and have some delectable fruity drinks. Our only suggestion for improvement was in the cafe, for while the food was good, the service was slow and there was considerable time in getting the bill after requesting it. However, that didn’t detract from the overall experience. We recommend!
