Lübecker Kartoffelkeller

Decent food but strangely the quantity of potatoes you get on your plate is surprisingly low (just one potato dumpling! Or a small portion of bratkartoffeln) certainly no more than any other restaurant - so if you go here expecting loads of potatoes, you will be disappointed

We came here 4 years ago and we had the same good experience. I don’t understand why the place is never crowded. If we come to Lübeck again we will definitely come here to taste the schnitzels in this place.

Excellent food! Long wait. We arrived around 5pm, where only 2 others were in the restaurant. And we still had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive, after ordering it. While waiting, a family of 4 came in, ordered their food, got it and nearly finished eating before ours came. Our waiter served the family, sitting right next to us, and didn't even glance at us or tell us to have patience for our food. When I asked for the bill, nearly 10 minutes went by before I could pay. So the place is Cosy, the food is excellent, but the waiting time could be better. Would not eat there at rush hour.

Probably one of the best place with super German cuisine in Lubeck (or at least what I found so far 🙌🏻). You won’t definitely leave the place hungry - whatever you order the portions are very solid and tasty! My friend couldn’t finish her meal so we need to ask for take away 😀 Atmosphere at this restaurant is also magical, it is the basement so the interior is also one of a kind. What we experienced that this place gets really quickly busy, so that’s also a good sign 🥘🍲 thank you so much and see you next time 🙌🏻

Fantastic place where you get great traditional German food in a fantastic atmosphere 🥔 The schnitzel was great, and so was the basement like surroundings! The waiter was fantastic as well, which only made the experience even better 🙌

This place is very well worth a visit. You'll be able to eat great potato-based dishes and visit quirky and interesting rooms under the ground. We had a very good lunch there in June.

Really nice atmosphere and super tasty food! One off the best Schnitzels I have ever had! Together with good beer this is a place you must visit during your stay in Lübeck!

We were two persons that dropped in for dinner. One had pork filet with fried egg, cabbage and bacon potatoes the other roast beef with bacon potatoes and remoulade sauce. It was excellent and exactly what we were looking for: delicious german food and big portions 👌
