5+ stars. We shared the seafood for one. OMG there was so much!. Tasty salmon, very lightly battered juicy white fish, great garlic prawns, oysters kilpatrick, s&p calamari. I cant eat scallops so the waitress happily arranged they be replaced. All cooked to absolute perfection. Only dissapointment - we could not fit in dessert. I guess we will have to come back tomorrow. 😃

Shocking amount of food i had five pieces of salt and pepper squid a tiny bit of salad . $ 23 . Plus a ser charge on top of that cost for using my card. 1.50 cost to everyone who shared my friend birthday cake. I'll a local. Much nicer places to eat that actually value for money. Absolutely shocking.

Date night we headed to The Lucas for Dinner. We are now kicking ourselves we haven't been before. Will definitely be out favorite spot.

On Easter Sunday, my family and myself (3 of us) had lunch at the hotel. A beautiful old pub it is, with efficient service. However, while there were vegetarian options on the menu, the listed vegetables on the specials board sounded very appetizing to me, so I ordered a plate of vegetables with pepper sauce. The waitress said that they would come in a bowl, which I thought a bit strange. When my order came out I was shocked to see, sitting in front of me, only two pieces of roast potatoes, and two pieces of roast pumpkin in a bowl. I asked the waitress if I could please have the vegetables listed on the board. When the bowl came back out a few peas/corn had been added to it minus the remaining vegetables listed on the board........I didn't like to ask again. I do not understand why it is so difficult to order a plate of vegetables. Maybe, I should of ordered the roast, minus the meat.....and hey, there would be a plate of vegetables....... On saying all of that, even though I was dissatisfied with my meal, the pepper sauce was delicious, just a pity I couldn't get all the listed vegetables on the specials board to go with it. My accompanying family members enjoyed lovely meals.

Fast, huge meals, great friendly service.. Great pub, large enough for functions and large groups The 1872 fully restored hotel acclaimed with many awards for its restoration offers excellent accommodation and fine cuisine. A feature of the grounds is a stone arch bridge over the creek, which is home to latrobes resident platypus Great pub.. I take the family here often

Took a workmate and his wife for a meal on world of mouth. Not disappointed at all. Shared two entrees. Garlic pizza and danper. Both alright, nice crusty bread and well topped pizza. For main I had crumbed scallops, very nice smaller meal and chips were fantastic. He had steak and onion rings she had steak with prawns. Both were very happy with their meal. He had sticky date pudding for dessert and I had self saucing chocolate pudding. Both were very good but size wise the sticky date was better value. Will be back.

Yelp
Great lunch before we headed for the spirit of Tassie a gem in a wilderness of average service food and wine

Yelp
One of 2 of the best places to eat in Latrobe. Never had a bad meal yet. Some of the waitresses are just lovely and I wish I had their names. Sticky Date Pudding is to die for as is Chicken Snitzel with chips, salad and a jug of your sauce choice. I love the pepper sauce and pour it over the chicken and chips. So yummy
